  Part of the problem is not so much finding sites that have articles on Oracle, that is to find reliable websites with this information.  When I search my site of certification for resources, I find a significant number of people who have 'technical' Articles on Oracle. However, many of these blog posts have simply no useful information.  It is not even that they are wrong so far as article does not include anything that is not declared more clearly and in detail in the documentation.

  I need to move a refnum to a control to display the Image, but find that I can not create a control or an indicator for such refnum.  I can create the refnum without problem, and when I right click on the refnum I gives me the options to create a command or the indicator; However, when I select one of these options no command or the indicator is created.

  I am running XP.  I installed Vision 8.6 at a given time, but had to uninstall because it damaged this control.  I don't know if it affects this type of control to a lower level.

  You can probably do it the hard way by using workaround.  Convert your reference to a Variant or flatten it into a string or cataloged full - some LV allows.  In the Subvi, convert it back into a reference.

  There is no such option/property to do so.  But to find out which tab is active using the property/local variables and put all the indicators in a case structure in respective cases of each tab.

  I have a set of paintings of master detail based on a single data source (Session Bean encapsulating a web service call). The high-level table (t1) shows data of opportunity, as the low level (t2) poster contacts for a special occasion. When the opportunity is selected in t1, the contacts associated with this opportunity appear in t2. These tables of work as you wish.
  
  I have a read only form (form of the Panel layout) based on a different data control (supported by a Session Bean that calls a LinkedIn API and a table of database using EJB3 entities). LinkedIn Session Bean method takes a parameter which I get from the current row in t2. (#{bindings.relatedContact.currentRow.dataProvider.id}) I put the PartialTriggers as 't2' on the form.
  
  When the page is loaded for the first time, the first line (line A) from table t2 is selected and the display shows the data associated with this line. If I select another line (line B), the Session Bean is called with the value of the id of the newly selected row, but the display will show the associated data from line A. Thereafter, whenever I select a row in t2, bean is called with the new value, but the form displays the data from the selected line previously.
  
  I guess what happens is that the form is refreshed (using stale data in the data control), and then the call to the session bean is made. I checked using thread and print statements. Sleep() in the bean.
  
  Is this a correct behavior and how can I make sure that the call to the bean occurs before the form is updated?
  
  I use JDeveloper version 11.1.2.2.0

  Hello

  as answered on StackOverflow, the trick is to set the refresh option on the iterator (s) to the second access WS (table 2) of PageDef on ifNeeded. The default setting is delayed, which in your case is not optimal because refresh occurs during rendering response, which is too late for the access of WS. Try "ifNeeded.

  Since you use API-PL/SQL in the database to make the update, it may be more efficient to have just a method of AM service that uses the existing JDBC connection / transaction and calls this PL/SQL stored procedure and passes the info of the VO.

One thing I can do is create the number max of controls & use the Visible property node to display only selected No.. controls. But by doing this my lettering would become very complex.   Agree with Ben and Thoric, you can create controls running, easily.

  How to handle your situation - it depends on your final goals - you can create enough channels, then toggle with the visible property, or maybe reorganize your application - use the list tables/multicolumn place of the strings, using arrays of strings, etc.

  In any case, a possible solution for creating control Runtime as an attachment. Here used XControl with linked list and this VI you can 'create' Boolean buttons dynamically. This idea is useful when you do not initially - know buttons how much you need in your application (I started with that for the dynamic creation of the toolbar). You can replace the button with the string in this example. Maybe it will be useful to you.
