  • Is it possible to update my PC for Windows7 64 bit?

    Hello.

I have a HP Pavilion p6021it, bought in July 2008.

Its native operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.

It has an Intel Core Duo E7300 processor.

I would like to install Windows7 64 bit.

Does anyone know if it is possible or not?

    Thank you.

    Giulio.

    Ciao, Giulio:

The material provided with your PC is 64-bit capable, then Yes, you can upgrade to windows 7 64 bit.

I suggest you max memory up to 8 GB (4 x 2 GB of PC2-6400 memory) if go you this route for better performance.

However, I wouldn't do on install an operating system 64-bit unless you have at least 4 GB of memory installed.

You can also run free windows 7 upgrade advisor, which will scan your PC and the report of the problems it may have with windows 7.

    You should be 100% fine.

  • Error 643 for update of security for Microsoft visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (KB973924)

I try to install the update of security for Microsoft visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (KB973924) via windows update and get error 643.

I ran the troubleshooting tool, but as usual, it does not solve anything (couldn't even understand something was wrong).

I've tried searching for an answer but apparently 'error 643' is given for shit close to everything and I was unable to find a solution for my problem.

the computer is running Windows 7 32 bit.  This problem also prevents Windows Essentials 2011 and I think that the issue is also what keeps me to install "Visual C++ Runtime for Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.0", which gives me Error 1935.  I didn't chance to find a solution so that the error code is.

    Please help - thanks

There is no W7 32 bit graphics drivers switchable configuration from anywhere.
