  I was warned by Windows Update I got Microsoft Office 6 "Major updates" dealing with security to download and install.  I am running Vista Home Premium operating system.

  To get updates Office installed when you receive the error 646, usually download and install them manually will work.  Look at your history of update and get the KB # updates failed.  Then, go to the Microsoft Download Center, search the KB # and then you download the file to your PC.  Then, simply double-click the file to run it.

  Tried to uninstall Microsoft Office 2007 (after checking you have the product key and the media to install again) and then restart, his fresh installation, download and install * manually * Service Pack 1 for Office 2007, Office 2007 Service Pack 2 and Service Pack 3 for Office 2007?

• Windows 7 is not updated Office 2007.

  I get no error message it seems to just ignore the Office installation.  Only the answer is: "Windows is up-to-date" but I have no update for Office 2007 SP2 MSO.
