Tried to uninstall Microsoft Office 2007 (after checking you have the product key and the media to install again) and then restart, his fresh installation, download and install * manually * Service Pack 1 for Office 2007, Office 2007 Service Pack 2 and Service Pack 3 for Office 2007?

* would manually by clicking on the related above, download link and save the file on your computer, restarting and connect with administrator rights and run this update of the saving on your computer location.  Once completed, restart the computer. Repeat for each. Once done with the three of us - visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and do a scan for updates and start the installation of any hardware related and not optional (for now). Reboot after each tour, visit the web page again until you have more up-to-date (high priority).

For more general questions, you think you might have (including just ensuring that Windows Update components work properly in general):

Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner. Delete everything is found.

Reset.

From this moment - I guess you know how to open Internet Explorer and do a scan custom Microsoft Updates from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ . That's what I want to talk by saying, "Try get updates."

Now reset your Windows with this FixIt components update:
How to reset the Windows Update components?

Reset.

Try to get updates.

If it still does not work, try this...

  1. Start an elevated command prompt.
  2. Run the following commands pressing on enter after each line:

    net stop wuauserv

    CD %SystemRoot%\System32

    Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

net start wuauserv

  • Reset
  • Try to reinstall updates
  • * Important * When you do this, the following problems occur:

    • Updates that are currently downloaded but which have not yet been installed must be downloaded again by using Windows Update or Microsoft Update.
    • When you remove the Software Distribution folder, your download history is deleted.
    • If you currently receive updates from Microsoft Update and Windows Update, you will need to reselect this option from the Windows Update Web site.

    * Note *
if the problem is resolved and you can successfully download and install the updates, you can delete the directory SoftwareDistribution.old to recover disk space.

    STILL no?

    Use this FixIt:
How to get the latest version of the Windows Update Agent

    Reset.

    Save components WU:

    1. Start an elevated command prompt.
    2. Run the following commands pressing on enter after each line:
      regsvr32 Jscript.dll
      regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\wuapi.dll
      regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll

    Reset.

    Try updates.

If it still does not work after that - repeat

Now reset your Windows with this FixIt components update:
How to reset the Windows Update components?

... once more. Restart and try to get updates again.

In any case: back - let everyone know what is happening.

Sorry, you have problems getting your patches installed. I have a number of things for you to look at.  First of all, your Background Intelligent Transfer Services set to Automaticand started and Windows Update ? You can check these settings by typing services.msc in the search box of the start menu.

Sometimes in order to get patches to install correctly, you must perform these tasks manually. You can download and run the patch directly from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=160ad53e-6475-4550-90c2-444e4abea730.

If this does not work, try to run the Microsoft OneCare safety scanner.  Sometimes it will solve problems of hidden registry, or can clear the virus that can prevent the installation of the patches: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/whatsnew.htm. Click full service scan, and then Quick scan (full scan takes a long time to complete). Try the patches.

125 KB is obviously not a ServicePack because this would be much MB in size, you have a number of KB (knowledge base) to go with the annoying update?

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click on your drive icon / properties / tools / error checking.  Try first by checking do not each box (that it will run in read-only mode) to see if it reports any problems file or hard drive.  If so, restart it by checking both boxes and restart to allow him to attempt to fix any problems found.

As for the "Changes" problem that I have no real solution for this, only that you remove every bit of desktop of your machine and everything don't reinstall desktop applications you need.  It could be a corrupted registry which is behind this problem.

    • KB980302 in Windows Update error code crashed my office

I have Windows Update in automatic mode on my HP Pavilion laptop. It runs Vista Home Premium. Never had any problems until yesterday, when an update for the screen has been downloaded and installed (code KB980302). He immediately threw the office into chaos - icons everywhere in the wrong format, bad background and screensaver etc. My programs may not work correctly: printing has been microscopic, black background and black text, when I closed the program I tried hard, it comes out a piercing 'scream', swiped in pain. Reboot and repeatedly using customization has not helped. Finally, I got it works well enough to save and close. The next morning, all my saved changes had disappeared again, and I had to start from scratch. I deleted the suspect update, but it does not seem to have helped a lot. I did a full scan on Norton Internet Security 2010 and found no problem. Can someone please help? I need this computer in working condition!

Applications, (Norton and McAfee) are notorious for not not upgrade (or uninstalling) itself. Try this:

      1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

      2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

      3. After completing some you have a copy of your key of handy product, uninstall NIS 2010, LiveUpdate and all Norton Add ons via Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view).

4 IMPORTANT! -Online activate Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.

NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed step #7 below!

      5. right click on the file that you saved in step #1 above, and then select run as administrator.  DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

      6. do a clean install of NIS 2010 using your product ID & reboot: http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080514162318EN

TIP: Do not activate or install additional modules of Norton (for example, Norton Anti-Phishing) immediately.

      7. manually and repeatedly run LiveUpdate (Norton) until you get a prompt "no update more".

      8 test cycle.

      Original title: Windows update error 0xC1900101 8.1 0 x 30018... it's annoying please help.

I know there are already a lot of posts on this subject and I have read some good but I still can't upgrade my desktop computer. Finding this very irritating that the update is now available for about 10 months and is still problematic, however I'm still hopeful. Now, my office is a house system, which I assume is part of the problem, but I'm going to go.

My machine specifications are as follows:

      Motherboard ASUS sabertooth x 79
CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT Intel Core i7 - 3820

      RAM

      Corsair Vengeance 8 GB (2x4gb) (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8)
GFX card ASUS GTX650 TI boost 2 GB
      SSD Samsung 840PRO series 256GB
HARD DRIVE Western Digital Black 1 TB
      POWER SUPPLY EVGA Supernova NEX750G
      Hard drive ASUS BW-12B1ST
      Keyboard Logitech G510
      Mouse Logitech G500

Now, some posts I read that I met a lot of different answers. some variant of not enough power available from the power supply, others say it is probably just an accessory you attached. My last attempt to update, I uninstalled everything that wasn't on the list of compatible Windows 8.1 Upgrade Assistant of the report, and I mean everything that was not listed as well as things that were listed as being incompatible. Of course, I got to the stage where it became ready devices and failed at about 50% or more. The time at which its failed summer seems to be different, I remember some time ago an attempt he got to 90% and then failed. This is the final part of the latest update, maybe someone can help give a sense.

      Hi Sarma_RN,

      1. When you receive the error message?

      2. update you are trying to install?

      3. When was the last time you were able to install updates?

If Windows Update, error 80072ee2 during updates, the Windows Update servers may experience an unusually high number of requests for updates. Close Windows Update, wait 10 to 15 minutes, and then run Windows Update again. Alternatively, you can wait for automatic update of Windows run at its next scheduled time.
