Update to Acrobat Pro 11 on Mac running El Capitan or Sierra (Beta

I can't get my Adobe Acrobat Pro 11 update. Says that it cannot connect to the server. Says 1042 error, unable to connect. Everyone has the problem or knows how to do so that my version is the latest? I am running Sierra in beta, but this problem also during the last public version of El Capitan.

even if your error message may not seem related to the issue discussed in this link, try it:

I bought Acrobat Pro DC for Mac as an upgrade from my previous old Acrobat 9 Pro. Unfortunately, when try asked the serial number of my old version, Acrobat 9 PRO does not appear in the menu (ita starts with Acrobat 10). How can I do?

The answer is you can't. The only versions of Acrobat software eligible for upgrade to Acrobat DC are 10 Acrobat and Acrobat 11. Unfortunately, your only option with Acrobat 9 (or any other previous version of Acrobat) is to buy a full license (not updated). Please contact Adobe customer service (which is not here) for a refund or Exchange.

  • Hi guys, could someone tell me why my selection cursor became like this in Acrobat pro XI for mac?

! Acrobat Pro XI for Mac

How can I put it to the arrow without God-dam box?

In addition, the resolution of the arrow and the box is not the same as the hand tool. any idea?

I don't see anything unusual.  This is normal behavior for the selection tool in the area of Document. If you place the cursor over the text, you have an i-beam cursor.

The box + arrow appears outside the text so that you can marquee select an area by pressing the button on your keypad enfoncΘe.

If you do not see that pass it, you most likely have a text image and not text fonts.

The only way you have just an arrow is when you go to a toolbar or menu.

You will find that you will need to download the updates from the FTP (ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/) site and put it on a memory stick. Unfortunately, most of the updates is done in the order and cannot be ignored. You can usually install all updates and reboot then that at the end, but updates still need to be made separately. In fact, a backup HD could be useful for all the updates that can be enormous.

Anyone know where I can still get all the updates to Acrobat 8 Professional for Mac (from 8.1 through 8.3.1)? I can't find them on the pages of updates of Adobe - Adobe seems to offer only updates for X and XI now.

  • Impossible to install Acrobat Pro XI on Mac

Hello, I've recently upgraded from Acrobat Pro 9 to XI (Mac version) and failed to install.

When I first installed Acrobat Pro version 9, I was running an earlier version of Mac OS X (I think it's Snow Leopard), but since then have updated my OS periodically and now spin El Capitan 10.11.5. Recently, I bought a license for Acrobat Pro XI and been affected by errors. Before attempting installation, I uninstalled my machine using the uninstall program Adobe version 9.

After the first failure, I found I was able to launch Acrobat Pro, but not all the features worked.

I have ran the Adobe Unistaller, rebooted, tried installing again, had the same fault message and once again found I could launch Acrobat Pro, but did not have all the features

Yet once, I ran Adobe Unistaller, rebooted, this time in the recovery Partition where I ran disk utility and performed first aid on Macintosh HD, as well as on the physical disk. I can't say that that first aid is no. In earlier versions of Mac OS X, disk utility included functions such as the Partition of repair, repair disk permissions, etc., but now all these functions are missing and replaced with a single function called first aid.

After that, I rebooted into OS X, again ran the installer, once again got an installation message failed.

What can I do now? Is there that a saved Setup log file somewhere that I can read and publish? Is there any other information that I can provide to shoot evil?

My computer is a MacBook Pro 13 "mid-2009 with 8 GB of RAM.

    Hi davidb66287241,

I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

You can try to install Acrobat using root user, visit this user account activation link root Mac: activation and using the user 'root' on OS X - Apple support

Also, try to delete this file: /Library/Preferences/com.adobe.PDFAdminSettings.plist and try to install Acrobat XI as a root user.

    Let me know the results.

    Thank you

  • 10.1.4 update blocks Acrobat Pro, how past exit Code 6?

I'm on Mac OS with CS5.5 10.7.5. Everything worked perfectly until the installation of the update free Acrobat 10.1.4.  Since then my Acrobat Pro crashes seconds after their opening.  I reinstalled it - dozens of times, since originally CS5.5 disc (also in secure boot mode), but still get the same error message that it did not install completely: Exit Code 6.

Suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated!

  • Security issue after the update to Acrobat Pro 9.5.0 in 9.5.1

BACKGROUND:  I have a MacPro running OS x 10.6.8.  I now have Acrobat Pro 9.5.1.  When I tried to upgrade from Acrobat Pro 9.5.0, I got an error message that says that my application could not be updated because it had been "modified" or a Word to that effect.  He told me to reinstall Acrobat Pro.  Dutifully, I inserted the disc of Installation 1 and started the chore.  He stopped and asked me to disable several security features because the installation could not go ahead until what I did.  I did as I was instructed and the installation was successful, including the update of all 18 Acrobat 9 Pro updates (Adobe don't use the Combo updates to relieve the consumer of such a daunting task?) But I digress...

The problem is that, since I've done this installation and update, I tried to keep the security elements, I was instructed to turn off and I turned everything I could remember on.  It seems I missed one or more, because, when I now run MacScan, I get as high as tracking cookies detected twelve requiring a kidnapping where I received virtually no front.  I run MacScan daily and sometimes more often.  Since the update to Acrobat, I dared not unfamiliar web sites.  I went to my regular sites, but I must have forgotten to close a hole somewhere The QUESTION: can someone list all the safety measures that must be disabled before you install and update Acrobat?  I'm puzzled and I hate to be rejected which prevented the I.

    Hi John,.

We generally recommend disable antivirus when you install or update our software as often times anti-virus software may complicate installations.  There is no further safety we recommend for normal installation of our software.

I'm an apologist for the tedious process of update.  We approached it with Acrobat X where all updates are cumulative, but obviously likely a good consolation after the long task of updating to Acrobat 9.  In case you need to reinstall Acrobat 9 in the future, you can choose to ignore the restart request.  This will make the process much faster update for you.

    Kind regards

    David
