Now my system version is macOS Sierra 10.12 (please, do not delete this post, it is not a beta version, please).

    My problem:

I've changed "your computer is configured to receive pre-release software update seeds" in App Store preferences for "Do not show pre-release Updates", but I always get the 10.12.1 public beta 1 2.

I'm afraid to go to 10.12.1 beta yet, which will bring some serious problems before.

  • Update for Sierra Beta after installation of Sierra

I've been participating in the program of the public beta version on my MB Pro. I installed the public version of Sierra two days ago. After showed me that App Store 10.12.1 public beta. Is this normal? This beta is an update to the beta version or version is an update to the public version Sierra? I'm confused.

    Hi Pitiger,

I understand that, despite the update of your MacBook Pro to the public version of macOS Sierra, you still see an update to the public beta. I know it's important to have the right software installed on your computer, so I'm happy to help you.

From your description of the issue, it seems that your MacBook Pro is always placed on the beta program, so it will still show you the new beta software despite the installed public releases. You can see how to unsubscribe your MacBook Pro here:

These entries should still be there if you right click on an image or an area with a background image.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

  • XP update demolishes my Qosmio G10-133 screen resolution

I'm running a two years old G10-133. Great and reliable machine. The reason why I bought it was because he has big screen resolution/sharpness for MS Word and Outlook emails texts.
For various reasons that I do not download the MS Windows updates that are often available in a pop-up at the start (hint that they may bring more problems than they solve). In any case I have recently (despite running Norton Security all the time) picked up some kind of malware villain in Google which diverts approximately 50% of the links google after a search and then sends to an another search engine with links.

The Norton firewall and windows not picking up these or clean them up, so I tried the free Spybot to get rid of them to no effect.

Finally rang Toshiba Europe support and the guy he recommended that:

    (1) do not use Norton. Waste of time and money and slows down the machine. Download the new freeware Windows Defender instead.
    (2) do all the XP updates
So I started with all the windows updates (charges), including Internet Explorer 7.

Guess what, after restart the computer is a bit slow grumpy, but worse still, the screen resolution (sharpness and clarity of the text) has deteriorated in Word, Outlook and Explorer.

So I called Toshiba support again (I'm on a contract of three years warranty) and they could not solve the problem or propose something and seemed surprised that happened. We checked the things of common screen resolution in control without result panels.

Then I gave up, train of the restoration of the system before any updates.

The computer is now stable and the resolution of screen back to where it was.

    Issues related to the:
    (1) can I get XP and 7 EXP updates and still get my old (better) screen resolution.
    (2) what to give up idea good/safe Norton for Windows Defender?
    (3) any ideas on how to prevent the diversion of Google links?

    Any help much appreciated

    Hello

1.) it's very strange and I have never heard bad display quality after the installation of the updates from Microsoft!
I think you should try to contact the Microsoft support and maybe they know something about this strange behavior.
But have you tried to update the graphic driver and/or BIOS?

(2.) it is true. I installed the Norton System Works several months ago and my unit started very slowly with preinstalled Norton Antivirus.
I removed and use and freeware AntiVirus application called "Antivir".
I don't want to use the MS Windows Defender. But I'm not saying that this application is bad.

    (3) I don't know what you want to do, but I don't think it has anything to do with your Toshiba laptop ;)

  • Why Beta flickering of screen v29.0 worse when scrolling (installed yesterday)?

The screen flickers some most of the time when I move the mouse around the screen. The glitter is worst when I scroll. Only, it started with the installation of v29.0.

This could be a problem that is not met in the previous test, which is exactly why it is essential to have a large group of beta testers.

You disable graphics hardware acceleration to try to solve this problem? If you have disabled a long time ago, could you try it the reactivation?

Note: If you have previously experienced serious incompatibility (e.g., blue screen falls down) you can update your NVIDIA drivers before reactivation.

the button Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) > Options > advanced

In mini - the 'Général' tab, re - check the box "use hardware acceleration when available.

It takes effect after a restart. Any difference?

  • Once I update my phone to iOS9 will always sync with iTunes on my iMac with OS 10.7.5?

Hello, my name is Catherine and I have a few questions. First of all, where I am and where I want to go:

I have an iMac end of 2006 with OS X Lion installed, which is the most recent this computer can manage, if I understand correctly.

My iPhone is a 4S which currently still holds iOS6 (6.1.3) installed. I want to upgrade to iOS9.

    Now the questions:

The iPhone 4S is compatible with iOS9? If so, can upgrade directly to iOS9, or do I need to step it up?

Once it is upgraded to iOS9 will always sync with iTunes on my old iMac?

Any advice on this process are appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my request.

    Catherine

Side note: it was strangely difficult to determine which community/category for this post, so if this is not the right pair, pointing me in the right direction would be more useful. Thank you!

You need at least OS X 10.8.5 (not 10.7.5) or later version to use iTunes 12.3 which will supported iOS 9.

    http://www.Apple.com/iTunes/download/

Yes, the iPhone 4S turn iOS 9 (but the iPhone 4 does not work).

It syncs with your old Mac?  It depends how old.  The Mac must be running at least OS X 10.8.5 and hopefully will last OS X 10.11.1 (current version).

You can update your Mac directly - if you can update the Mac at all.  If you can update depends on the age and model.

  • Get the error code 80070005 when trying to get windows update for HP w2207 Monitor wide screen.

I have a Compaq Presario SR5410F computer with a large screen Hp w2207h with windows home premium and service pack 2. The computer is about 1 year and 3 months. About 6 months ago, I have an update of windows for my monitor and it failed several times when I tried to install it. I got ahold of someone at microsoft but never got an answer to my problem. The person finally told me to hide the update so it wouldn't keep trying to install. Now I have another update to my monitor and it will not be installed. All other updates installed fine. When I try to install, I get failed and the 80070005 error code.
Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem? Sure would appreciate it.

The post directly above it, the journal of Kateyes, has the following questions:

1 looks like there is a proxy or some sort of 'intermediary' between the Windows Update software and internet.  Usually, it is a kind of dial-up, or download accelerator software or maybe internet software such as content filtering (parental control).  If you have any of these please disable and try again.

    2. you may have a proxy configured incorrectly.  Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools / Internet Options / Connections / LAN Settings button.  Here, uncheck the "Use a Proxy Server" if it is checked.  Otherwise, uncheck the box for "Automatically detect proxy settings" and close IE and try again.

    3. the problem could be another connectivity type of questions, please try the suggestions in this article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/836941 - make this one article first, very good on this type of error
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/Windows-Update-error-80072efd

I hope this helps.  The question is purely related connectivity, so something related to the internet connection does not work correctly.  It probably isn't and issue with your ISP, but more with the settings of Windows or other applications installed on your computer that are at the origin of the conflict. If you find my answer was what you're looking for, remember to click on the box "mark as answer" below!

  • Windows Update the results in the blue screen.

I am running Windows XP and have anti-virus (Norton) protection and have not recently installed a new hardware/software.  This morning (January 25, 2012), I was asked to restart my computer after getting the latest updates to Windows.  When I tried to turn it back on, I got the dreaded blue screen.  I realize that probably require you the message of the blue screen, but right now I'm at work and my computer is at home.  I guess the problem has to do with the latest update of Windows, I have not recently downloaded all the files or have visited malicious sites or open suspicious emails or anything of that nature.  Where should I go from here?

    Thank you

BSOD is most commonly caused by drivers of problem.  Update your drivers on the website of the manufacturer of the PC is the most common way of their fixation...

If you are unable to Windows, try using Safe Mode.
If it works, you may be able to use a clean boot to get into Windows
    The article here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Once in normal mode, visit the manufacturer's Web site PC and download/install all the drivers available.
Restart without the clean boot to see if that fixes it.

If this isn't the case, please provide this information:

-Zip please the contents of the directory C:\Windows\Minidump
