  • Latest version of the Power Manager

    Hello

I have problems with the management of feeding on VISTA SP1 RC Refresh and would like to know if v8.03 is the latest driver.

Specifically, the latest version of SP1 crashes when you have Toshiba Power Management and Wireless Lan to operate. Deactivation of the Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG driver in Device Manager solves the problem.

    Hello

As far as I know at this time SP1 for Vista is still beta and now Toshiba offers not preinstalled Vista SP1. I guess that after installation of SP1 problems may occur but before Toshiba offer recovery with SP1 image implemented all problems must be fixed.

It also means that all drivers of most recent, tools or utilities will be available on the support page. This was the case in the past and I'm sure that the same thing will happen in the future. Because of that I really don't think that someone can give you instructions specific how to handle problems after the installation of SP1.

In any case, it will be interesting to know exactly what is happening, and if you have time please let us know if there is a problem.

    Bye and good luck!

  • Backlight is disabled until the power management software is loaded on the Satellite M40 - 295

Greetings to all members of the forum.

I am owner of ten months a Satellite M40-295. My problem is the following:

When I start my computer the backlight is disabled until I go into Windows and the power management program is loaded.
After that the backlight of the screen lights up. I tried to change the brightness with Fn-F6/7 and screens using Fn + F5 without success.

Init information (init messages, such as the Toshiba and Windows logo) appears on the screen (I checked it under the intense light and the screen from another angle of view), so the adapter seems to work properly.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Evangelos

I'm afraid that now, you have a problem. If the unit won't start the BIOS chip is probably damaged. In my opinion BIOS update was bad idea.

Right now I don't want write something on the screen because now it is not important at all. Please contact the customer Service of your country partner and let check the device. Sorry, but I'm 99.9% that the unit is now completely screwed.

If the appliance shows any sign of life is the case for the service. :(

  • [Newbie TP] Windows vs Lenovo System Update update + Win vs Lenovo Power Management

@All: I'm going to a new T420s in a few days and since I've never owned a TP, I have a few questions for more experienced users. I apologize in advance if the questions seem stupid, but I wonder if Win Update and the Lenovo system update can get in the other way and messes things in the system by overwriting the drivers, or they have nothing to do with the other? Furthermore, what about the power management settings? I heard that Lenovo is rich enough, so I was wondering if they can enter in conflict with the settings of Windows7 and in case those who I would prefer and how to work around others?

    Thanks a zillion.

My rule of thumb is to:
    (1) anything in the update system that is not a Windows update hotfix package.
    (2) updated using Windows Update for Windows and associated fixes (disable the driver updated unless you know what you're doing).
    (3) run System Update and install the update packages Windows remains, if necessary.

I don't remember what her name and I don't know where to get.
And if there is a CD that came with my laptop, I'm lost.

    Can someone help me please?

    Hello

There is only one tool of power management. It is called; TOSHIBA Power Saver.
You can buy it on the European driver Toshiba page!
Choose the model of laptop just in the form of driver download, download it, unzip the package and install it!

  • How to stop the power management to change my clock speed?

    Greetings,

    I run a HP compaq nx6320 laptop.

I noticed that sometimes, when the computer is unplugged, the clock speed of the processor is reduced. intuitively, this seems to be a technique of energy saving.

Using the Intel processor identification utility, I get something like this:

And I suffer notable sluggish performance for all applications.

I know that laptops tend to conserve that unplugged while power, some for example dim the screen, but they allow the user to increase the lighting, although it would reduce the time the computer can work with batteries.

I want something similar about the speed of the processor, I want to turn this feature off and power the computer at full speed while it is unplugged.

In addition, this feature is errornous, I took the screenshot above, while my computer is running on the current! and do not know why the power management insists on reducing the clock speed.

All this turns out be caused by overheating. I'm misleaded by the tip of the utility intel PID.

The fan of my computer was blocked by the filter sponge, which is made of a material that is poor, so partially decomposed and clogged the fan.

  • 'voltage design' vs real 'tension' in the power manager

Just today, all around the navigation in the power manager, I noticed that the values of 'design' and 'tension' on the 'battery' tab are different! The "design power" reads 11.10V, while the 'tension' reads 12.06V.

I feel that it is actually normal... but maybe someone can confirm my suspicions? Out of curiosity, why these two values differ and what that means?

I use using a T510 running on win7 x 64, if this is no help at all.

voltage will drop over time, while the nominal voltage provides a constant reference point to tell you what kind of condition is in your battery, and if it needs to be replaced.

  • InDesign CS6 is an updated version of the Adobe Digital Editions software?

When I click on the Adobe Digital Editions software on the Adobe Web site on my computer, a window titled "InDesign CS6' pop - up;  When I click on the Adobe Digital Editions software on the Adobe website on my iPad, a window titled 'Adobe Digital Editions' pop-up. Why different? InDesign CS6 is an updated version of the Adobe Digital Editions software? Adivse me please.

No, it's something completely different. InDesign is the Adobe page layout program to create printed stuff or also the electronic formats like PDF or EPUB and others. It is a program that will require a lot of how to work with.

You must download and install ADE on your computer. If you have never worked with InDesign, it may not be what you want to use.

I have Adobe form CC on my phone - like the potential of the app, but I have an older version of Illustrator at home so I can't go to my library. I have an updated version of the Illustrator to work and I understand that I must 'share' my library with my computer from work/account but unfortunately, we're not allowed to do this on my place of work. Is it possible that I can share old school/manually these Shape files? PLEASE, I BEG YOU!

    Hi Nancy,.

I'm really sorry, but there is no way to import forms in older versions of Illustrator; the application records in libraries that are available in the latest versions of creative cloud of Office Automation. You can introduce forms in Adobe Illustrator to draw, but which does not help you no more, because in the end, you can send this file to Illustrator CC as well.

This is a feature that many people have been so request; I am not sure if she will ever be integrated into the CC form.

Wish I could be more useful.

    Sue.

  • Edge 14. Battery not charging after the Power Manager Update to 6.07 and resetting the battery.

My battery will do not, at all.

The gauge was obviously wrong to happen very quickly after reaching 20%, so I've updated the power to 6.07 Manager and then perform a reset of the battery (I'm sure it's in that order, perhaps first reset).

After resetting the battery charged to 100% back, but as it is discharged, the charger was not.  With the power, the battery is located just at the same percentage and descends very slowly (about 1% in two days).

I tried to play with the parameters of maintenance battery, the meter then said that charge will begin less than 80%, but the battery is already on the 20%.  I checked the firmware in the Manager of power and with the stand-alone program but apparently no update is necessary and T 42, 4755 FRU part number is not listed as needing an update.

Current version of the firmware: 3f98-0004-0160-0130

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Power Manager.  The power windows manager also seems to have the same problem.

I just baught the laptop last year, is a month out of warranty; I need it to be portable to work.

I thought about buying a new battery, but it seems to be the charge function is not working, and the battery was working fine before the reset and the update, apart from the loss of certain abilities and the inaccurate meter.

    Product: 0578CTO Thinkpad Edge 14

    19% and declining

    Hi NINE.

Thank you for hospitality, the effort and the answer.  Greatly appreciated.

I tried this and just tried to reinstall the firmware of power management.

I finally solved the problem after reading this post by:

    1 shut down the computer.

    2. unplug the power supply cord (and everything - usb and monitor cables).

    3 remove the battery.

    4. play with the spring on the battery switches and shake threatening (probably unnecessary, but you may want to give it 10 to 15 seconds on the laptop).

    5. replace the battery in the laptop.

    6. connect the power cord.

    7. start the laptop and connect.

    Thanks again.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Annoying Message - "updated versions of the application... Danish. "

I saw at least two other forum posts with Blackberry users having the same problem of software, but am re-quest someone post a clear solution to what I do not understand how to solve this problem and apparently he has not worked for at least six months and it doesn't seem to be the way to contact the media other than a phone call (which I will if I have to). I've updated my software to the latest current version (version 5.0.1) if I still see 4.6 in places and an annoying message continues to be displayed.

Whenever I connect my new BB to my computer and run the Desktop Manager, the Application Loader ALWAYS says:

Version updates of the application listed below are available for your device.

    Danish language support
    Norwegian language support
    Swedish language support

    >>

Question: Should what steps I take to prevent this message from appearing?

    Hello

your current installation of Desktop Manager is configured to look for updates of your OS device on the internet every time that you open the Desktop Manager. the DM sees a new OS is available, and that, outside versions updates to existing modules on the OS, OS contains three new language modules are included.

    • You can either do the update of the operating system on your device (this is the way it is supposed to be according to RIM)
    • You can live with this message. It's a good Zen.
    • You can configure Desktop Manager do not check for updates, which can be done by right-clicking on the taskbar on the 'device' icon, and on one of the tabs, you can uncheck the option.
