Upgrade Adobe Application Manager gives error A12E1 - now what that?

I wanted just to install Flash. But first of all, Manager of Application needed upgrading and it stops on an error like "seems to be a problem with the installation (A12E1 error code). What should I do now? I got an error code like 5 weeks ago, and to remove the Application manage I had to remove ALL of the first Adobe applications! I really hope that there is another way to solve this.

Read a similar question, and he was advised to remove the OOBE folder in the folder/Library/Application Support / Adobe (Mac) & reboot. I have done this and installed the latest version of the MAA. It worked. Unfortunately I had to do it a few more weeks ago. Seems the AAM cannot update / update itself.

I have a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud. I downloaded the Application Manager. I opened the Manager, connect, then the computer just by saying download error. Please contact customer support.

The application manager also does not appear in programs. I thought that if I uninstall and reinstall what might work, but I can't actually uninstall it.

Ok.. Here is how I solved this problem. This could be a help to anyone. In one of the forums there was advice for a problem where Creative Cloud connection constantly requested ID, which is what precipitated this problem with Application Manager. I uninstalled creative Cloud connection then:

I dragged my file opm.db by dragging on the destop. I then went to re-download Creative connection Cloud, which caused the Adobe Application Manager to launch ask for my credentials and instead of the dreaded mistake of downloading, it launched. This has created a new opm.db file, which apparently now allows application Manager to load and work.

On Mac, you can find the opm.db file located in this folder: \Library\Application Support\Adobe\OOBE

  • How custom install Acrobat XI via Adobe Application Manager (I don't want integration office)

    Hello

I am a creative cloud paid member with access to the Adobe application Manger. When I download and install Acrobat XI (also has happened with previous versions), it installs just the full version of the software, so he messes with my sepcifically of Microsoft Office with Word program, install macros or whatever. So whenever I run Word, I get errors.

I need to install Acrobat XI as a standalone program, so I can choose the CUSTOM installation. But, as I do through the Adobe Application Manager, I have no control over that.

    Please help, thanks

    Hi alexanderschek,

After you install Acrobat via Adobe Application Manager, you can go to the Start Menu-> Control Panel-> programs-> programs and features (windows 7, something similar should exist for other operating systems too). You will see a list of all the applications installed on your computer. There you can select Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and click the button change above. A windows install Adobe Acrobat dialog box will appear. Select modify, and then click Next. Now you will get a dialog box similar to the CUSTOM installation dialog box.  You can select/deselect features according to your requirement, and that should solve your problem. According to your requirement, you can disable the feature: «Create Adobe PDF-> Acrobat PDFMakers-> Microsoft Office» I hope this helps.

    Thank you

    Sandy

    Hi barbarakaye1,

    Welcome to the community!

Looks like it's corrupted. We may need to install Adobe Creative cloud, lets try the procedure below:

    • Download and install the Creative Suite from Adobe cleaner tool: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
    • Extract and run.
    • Select "e" for English.
    • Press on 'Y' for Yes if requested.
    • Select Option 3 to creative cloud.
    • Then select Option 1 for Creative Cloud Installer.
    • Rename the OOBE, OOBE folder to:

    Mac: MAC HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe Win: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\

    • Also, if there is a process running named 'AAM Update Notifier' or 'AAM recording notify ". Kill these processes and try to reinstall Adobe Application Manager and check.
    • Download and install the latest version here: https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud

Please confirm what operating system you are using

If you continue Windows then go to control panel-> add and remove programs and uninstall completely the first pro then install using creative cloud.

If you use MAC OS, then go to Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers and double-click uninstaller first Pro to uninstall completely.

If the problem is still not resolved on your computer then please use Adobe CS tool cleaner to clean the application completely. You can download the CS cleaning tool from: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

After uninstalling and cleaning it try to reinstall the software.

  • Cannot install upgrade LR6. The error is Adobe Application Manager quit unexpectedly.

I work all day with support via chat, but not yet able to resolve.  I bought the upgrade LR6.  I am currently running LR5 on my mac.  When I try to install the upgrade LR6, the status bar is at 99% complete, but then it ends with error - "Adobe Application Manager quit unexpectedly".  Things tried today with the help of the support chat:

Delete the folder PDApp and try the upgrade installation.

Rename the OOBE folder and try to install the upgrade.

Uninstall Adobe Application Manager and try to install the upgrade.

LR5 uninstalling, reinstalling LR5 and try to install the upgrade.

    Nothing works.

Hello Atul and thanks for responding.  Adobe support seems a little disjointed because I offered this solution through several cats and now this forum.  Ultimately what worked for me was adjusting the permissions of read/write on the Application Support folder.

    1. open Macintosh HD

    2. open a library

    3. Select the Application Support folder.

3 right-click and select information.  -Pop-up is displayed.

    4. click on the padlock on the bottom right pop to unlock (user will have to enter the admin password)

    5. last section, under sharing & permissions, ensure that the administrator and the user tries to install "writing &" can.

    6. for the administrator and user, click options in the lower part (looks like a gear) and choose "apply to the elements included...". »

    Retry installation...

Thanks to DJ in support to solve this problem for me!

    Any thoughts?

If not I can remove this app, so I can get rid of the annoying icon on the bar telling me tasks, I have an update avialble who can't be implemented?

    Thanks for any help.

I went into the preferences for the application manager and the saw was both CS5 and CS6 products listed and so I just disabled all CS6 products and he said no update available and the icon went away. I also see in the preferences, you have the option to disable the icon in the task bar if you don't want to tell their updates.
