  Here I'm describing the method. Please suggest me I am Wright or wrong?

  Apps Version 11.5.7
  DB version: 8.1.7
  Node to use unique rsetup
  
  Place a gradation path
  Apps R12 Version
  DB version 10 gr 2
  Should be the same single node and single-user installation
  
  I want to update my applications manually and want to follow following steps:
  Please suggest me what we can move our applications to R12?

  ·     First, we install R12 (Application and DB both) on the box 'existing '.
  ·     Upgrade database. (Manually)
  ·     Full backup (11.5.7) APPL_TOP, HTM/COMMN_TOP and COMMN_TOP/JAVA
  ·     Restore in high file in new R12 Appl_TOP

  You cannot move 11.5.7 directly to R12 you need to 11.5.8 update (or more) first.

  For the database, you can switch to 10 gr 2 provided that you're on 8.1.7.4 or above. If you are on 8.1.7, you upgrade 8.1.7.4 (or higher), and then upgrade to 10 gr 2.

  Once you upgrade the application, refer to the first note below and find the right path to follow to do this upgrade.

  I did it-but suddenly during the upgrade process, my blackberry is turned off and since impossible to turn it on again, it looks like my smart phone is completely dead! There's just a red light on the top flashing...

  That's all just amazing, because I have no idea why this happened because I used this official site and Device Manager was the one I downloaded from this site for 8310 Smartphone

• Oracle DB 11.2.0.4: Impossible to activate the table lock after having stopped it

  I use Oracle Database 11.2.0.4.

  After reading the documentation on how to prevent unwanted table DDL statement.

  I found a way to do this in by issuing 'edit the table < table_name > disable table lock'.

  Turn it off doesn't work, however I can not re - activate.

  The error message is:

  ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified or timeout expired

  I want to activate the lock, because I need to add new columns to this table.

  I was digging on several threads that have the same problem as mine. But none of them gives any acceptable solution.

  Impossible to activate the table lock after disablng it

  ALTER table enable table lock blocking

  However, a poster responds by quoting the documentation that says: (Note: I can't find what doc says)

  'Specify the TABLE LOCK ACTIVATE to activate the table locking, allowing operations on the table DDL. All currently process transactions must commit or roll before Oracle database allows table locking. »

  1. the table is mine and nobody knows there are (therefore, it would be just me which undoubtedly make any DML at it, and I did not).

  2. I've disabled the lock table months ago and tried to turn it back on because I want to add the new column to the table.

  
  

  It means that I have to wait for that "ALL transactions running" happening on the current scheme being validated or cancelled?

  The table itself is located on the stops and never schema of production on which transactions take place continuously.

  Why would Oracle wait as all transactions which has nothing to do with the underlying table?

  Your best option might be suspended from the database. If it is an application of type OTP, it must suspend in some secinds, do your DOF, then get out. Your users should not notice. I have described the mechanism here,

  The process of database have a file handle for the data file - this remains even when the file is deleted (it disappears from the normal file system navigation)

  You can see if you have lsof installed

  just try

  lsof | grep datafile_name

  Once the database is restarted and the released file handle so you will not be able to do this any more - and in fact you will get errors when it can't find the file.

  Please open the monitory of activity by going to Applications > utilities on your Mac. You can search any processes with the name of SAFARI COULD HISTO and close it. More detailed instructions can be found here: error with Adobe products: close the following applications.

  Also, make sure you reinstall your CS5.5 disc or direct download. If you use Time Machine or similar backup to restore your programs on your computer reformatted, you may encounter issues. Adobe programs do not correctly migrate due to hidden files permissions.
