    I have a 2011 21 "iMac with 8 GB of Ram. I use OS X of El Capitan. When I get the rotation beach ball I have to restart. Also, when I get the beach ball all four carrots are 100%. The apps I have running is the finder, mail, iMessage, Safari & Parallels when this happens. It also happens when the screen saver is turned on and I try to put my password. Is it a memory problem?

    Your profile says your Mac works v10.11.5 so see if the update using v10.11.6. Open these System co> App Store > check now or open the App Store and then select updates from the menu.

    Aside from that, check the hard disk.

    Hello oywa,.

    Thanks for this info and choosing the communities Support from Apple. I know how important to get your MacBook works correctly again is for you! If I understand correctly, you are unable to start your MacBook as expected, and you get just a black screen with a spinning ball. I suggest the following steps to resolve this problem:

    1. use Mode without fail to start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks, remove files from the system cache, check your startup disk and trying to fix problems if necessary directory. If you are able to start properly in Mode safe, then try to reboot normally.

    Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

    2. If the Safe Mode doesn't solve your problem, then start in OS X Recovery Mode and run first aid in the disk utility application. If you are able to complete the first aid without errors or problems repaired successfully, then restart your MacBook.

  • Following Windows upgrade 2-in-1 10 no automatic rotation of screen on Inspiron 7000

    I have an Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 that I just upgraded to Windows 10. Following the upgrade, auto-rotation of the screen has stopped working, and I could not allow him because the button in the notifications area to do so was gray. I also found the check box turn on in the display settings dialog box, but after allowing that the screen has always refused to auto-rotation.

    Note that this function works very well under Windows 8.1, so I know it can't be a hardware problem.

    Then I went to the Manager of peripheral and deleted devices of two sensors, thinking that Windows should detect and reinstall the drivers for them once I restarted. There is unfortunately no, and detection devices have been in Device Manager. I've never seen a version of Windows that does not detect missing drivers for hardware existing after a reboot and re - install automatically.

    Now, all the options to activate the rotation of the screen disappeared, so Windows apparently didn't know that the motion detectors exist.

    I've looked everywhere for these device drivers so I can install myself, including the Dell site support using my service code number and drew a complete blank. Where can I get drivers for detection devices, or otherwise get this problem fixed?

    Please help, a 2-in-1 is pretty useless if I can't get the display to auto-rotation. Thanks in advance!

    Seems, that I figured this out...

    When you uninstall the sensor devices by using Device Manager, Windows 10 do not detect after a reboot and automatically installs the drivers as Windows normally would for any other device (as long as you have the setting enabled in the "Devices and printers" dialog box, it is enabled by default), as I had mentioned previously.

    This is because the sensor for my model laptop drivers (Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 (7348)) are part of the Dell 'Intel Chipset Driver' package. There is absolutely no mention of this on the downloads page, which obviously is not very useful:

    www.dell.com/.../DriversDetails

    Once I installed this package, all the controls for the rotation of the screen appeared, but they were always in gray.

    It turns out that controls the rotation of the screen now gray when you have the laptop open in the "normal position", or with the keyboard on your work surface and the tilted screen back as you would normally use for any another portable computer. Once you either place the laptop on the direction tries or with the keyboard completely folded backward, those controls 'sober up' themselves and can then be changed. To the best of my knowledge, this was not the case in Windows 8.1, and it's easy to fall into entrapment.

    Live and learn I guess, but it's not an obvious problem is easy to understand, or at least it wasn't for me. I hope this helps someone.

  • iMac 2009 upgrade Question

    I have an iMac 2009 (20 ") with a 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB RAM, 640 GB SATA HDD and running OS X 10.9.5. I know this machine is 'old', but I want to upgrade a new OS and get some speed back (lots of ball rotation range, especially using Safari). I get the runaround from people at the local store simply Mac, that push to get me to buy a new system. I think with most recent - especially the SSD - HDD I can upgrade to El Capitan and extend the life of this wonderful machine... especially since I can't afford or justify the purchase of new at the moment. Your thoughts?

    IF you upgrade your ram to 8 GB and the switch on the rotation for one SSD HARD drive you will swear that you have a new machine. My late 2009 with 16 GB of ram and SSD never sees a spinning beachball. Mine is a quad core i5 processor, but I bet you'd be happy.

  • JavaFX - application of rotation transformation - preserve the State of processing before changing the parameters of rotation

    Hi people, I would like to ask for a help with my experiences of animation.

    case:

    -ball (sphere) moves and rotates in a direction around RotationAxis1. Rotation is defined on the object ball rotation by setting rotation.setAngle (angle1)

    -ball hits a wall

    -rotation axes change, now, the ball goes around RotationAxis2, new rotation of this axis starts angle2 = 0

    question:

    what I basically need is to preserve (save/apply) the transformation of rotation of the object, before changing the axis and an angle of new values, otherwise I'm ugly change in the rotation of the object

    If there is an object.rotateBy () and it would preserve his State, I wouldn't have such a problem, I could call

    object.rotateBy (angle); object.setRotationAxis (...), object.rotateBy (newAngle);

    After the piece of code works for me and it preserves the current state of rotation, all as he would continue to create new objects by adding transformations, this may not really be used in a real world scenario:

    ...

    getTransforms () .add (rotate);

    ...

    private void resetRotation() {}

    turn = new rotation (0, 0, 0, 0, new Point3D (motion.dy, - motion.dx, 0));

    getTransforms () .add (rotate); retains the current state of rotation and starts a new spin

    TODO: CELA WORKS BUT IT WOULD CASE MEMORY AND PERFORMANCE LEAKAGE - FIX IS NECESSARY!

    }

    what I'm looking for, it's something like:

    private void resetRotation() {}

    getTransforms () (rotate) .remove;

    applyTransformation (rotate);     can not find something like that

    turn = new rotation (0, 0, 0, 0, new Point3D (motion.dy, - motion.dx, 0));

    getTransforms () .add (rotate); retains the current state of rotation and starts a new spin

    }

    Any clue?

    Try a reboot.

    Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

    Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

    Isolate a problem by using a different user account

    If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  • Extensions in Photos El Capitan

    Help, please

    I tried to activate two extensions in Photos. One of the DXO optics. When I try to use this extension, I get a ball rotation and I have to force the program to exit to close the program. Further, I tried the pixelmator extension and when I try to use one of the utilities of these extensions the program crashes and I can't do anything with the program except the strength to quit smoking. Are these common problems or is the solution.

    Harry T

    I tried the extensions of Pixelmator in Photos and it worked fine.

    There may be something in your installation that is the problem.

    I would first try to restart in Mode without failure, then normally once again and see if this is enough to fix it.

    Let us know.

  • not to force quit, can not control, ctrl, esc

    Sorry not my macbook right now so I have to get the specifications on that a little later.

    But recently some programs block and freeze. I can't force them to leave their, I can't press command, Ctrl, esc to bring up the menu force quit. I can always hover around office and docking station, but impossible to open new applications or programs. I can command-tab to other open programs, but they don't work very well. Get a lot of ball rotation range then I finally to make a difficult stop (hold the power button / stop). Seems to happen in several programs (chrome, Word, wine).

    After the hard reset when I open the viewfinder upwards I notice apps kind of jump around as new is added, and the icons of take a while to load correctly.

    I have about 11 GB of disk space free and checked and repaired my permissions of the drive, it seemed to help some. Mainly in that everything works a bit more before, but some app I'm in freezes then goes to lock up everything computer, I am trying to close.

    You can reset the SMC and the NVRAM and try again?

  • Pages crashing all the time after updating the OS 10.11.3

    Hello, I have problems with Pages crashing since I received the update OS X El Capitan (10.11.3). Common problems are:

    • Pages could open documents with considerable delays: when I double click on a file, it may take up to 20 seconds before opening the document (at the same time, the only thing running is 2 tabs in Safari with non-intensive websites like Wikipedia);
    • Pages would not open to all documents: sometimes it refuses to open my documents either. When I choose for example a document on the 'Recent' via dock icon Pages list it will not launch it. If I wait for awhile and just click the Pages icon, hoping that it will be launched the document in the background, he brings just to the top of the window with the models as if I wanted to open a new document.
    • 'Missing font"all the time: I did not the latest changes to my fonts, but when I opened a document originally created in Pages (and not a converted copy of an old Word document) it always gives an error message "missing fonts" - particularly associated with Microsoft fonts. I downloaded and installed Cambria and Calibri manually and it fixed the problem... for about 8 hours, then he started again.
    • Beach ball rotation of death during the execution of simple operations: it's exasperating, but every now and then when trying to type or text in bold (and similar), the beach of death ball will appear, making the Pages does not.
    • Crashing before loading the same: when I force quit the app because it did not and then I try to run again, often they no longer again before loading the same. What the...?
    • Impossible to duplicate documents: at one time I thought that it is a certain file at the origin of all evil, so I tried it duplicate several times - which of course caused Pages to plant again and again. Same thing happened when I tried with other files.

    I had a similar problem before and it was fixed to restore the default fonts and removing duplicates in the FontBook app, but unfortunately it did not this time.

    I don't know what is wrong or why. It was working OK just a couple of days. Anyone else have similar experiences with it? Looks like Apple may not come out with an update that doesn't break the workflow of the people. But yay, more emoticons and pictures Live Webcam on the way!

    Because my Pages on El Capitan 10.11.3 v5.6.1 works very well with any of your questions, I believe that it is not Pages, but something out of Pages in your environment operating system as a cache of corrupt police, duplicate fonts, or damaged preferences file. Perhaps it is that you are too many applications running for your memory availability and Pages of hunger. All in due time.

    Let's start with a secure boot that will clear the system and local caches, rebuild the database of the police and then see if it stabilizes your use of the Pages.

    Secure boot

    1. Shut down your Mac.
    2. Press the power button and immediately press on and hold down the SHIFT key until you see the horizontal progress bar. I usually wait until it's an inch along before I release the SHIFT key. Personal touch.
    3. You will arrive at a login window. In the upper right screen, you'll see Safe Boot in red letters.
      1. After you type your password, stop, then press and hold the SHIFT key again once, before you click on the right arrow to open a session.
      2. Continue to hold the SHIFT key until your painting of icons on the desktop.
      3. Because many drivers are not loaded, graphics performance is not optimal, and may feel morose.
    4. Test Pages in startup mode to see if the problems have disappeared.
    5. Restart normally.
    6. Start Pages and open a document.

    Previous post the results of step 4 and 6. Have what improvements (if any) you noticed?
