  Some tips for you, VS 2015 is not recommended for dev environment. CS6 InDesign plugin. You will meet all kinds of issues if you use for creating plugins CS6 2015, are some of the issues you may face

  1. Compilation or linking errors
  2. Random crashes, while the plugin is running, if you manage to get that much.

  The main reason for this is the different versions of libraries CRT used by different versions of VS, which used once all causes all sorts of compatibility issues.

  I would recommend that you follow the recommended by Adobe in the SDK VS version.

  Now in regards to putting in place the project settings, you must configure the following paths mainly to point to different paths of the SDK

  1. Include paths for the C++ compiler, these are directories that contain different header files. This will contain multiple paths, see the sample project SDK for more details
  2. Path for libraries that need to be linked to your project, see Linker of a SDK project.
  3. Include the path to the resource compiler
  4. Apart from this, you can also set the executable directories, as shown in the screenshot you attached. This is used to designate certain executables that are used during the accumulation of the generation of the project phase.

  You could refer to the sample project SDK for details, I would recommend that you base your new project on a sample project of SDK software for beginners and once you are comfortable with the settings, you can go ahead and write your own project to project depending on how you like to your Setup project the configuration files. For more details on how to write configuration files for VS projects to do a google search on it.

  Text engines change from one version to the other, and text can ebb when editing in a new version. If you need that remains unchanged, you must continue to work on these files in CS3.

• Problem activating Extentions for InDesign CS6

  I was going through some of the responses to similar positions, but have not found an answer to my particular problem.

  I am running OSX 10.9.5; InDesign CS6 version 8.0.2 and Adobe Extension Manager Version 6.0.8.28.

  I had problems with InDesign will does not also.

  I went to check to see if a particular extension of the third was installed and when I opened 'EM I found a whole bunch of yellow triangle warnings I front of a lot of extensions.  I tried to activate some of them and have gotten some back, but there is always a good although simply refuses to allow.  Are: assignment UI, Panel, book (which has a greyed on the checkbox in the enabled column), DynamicDocuments UI (it's also has a greyed on the tick), dialog fonts (check mark in gray), graphic panels (check mark in gray), indexing (check mark in gray), InXCore (grayed checkmark)... and many others.  Those that I have not listed here seem to be those that these are dependent, however they are recorded as being activated.

  I tried to allow as much as I can, and then re-start InDesign and during start up I get a notice that says: "cannot open resource file."  I don't know what that means but I click OK and it finishes loading.  But the book is not available to create and there is no book palette.

  I can't find a 'Library' such file referenced in one of the solutions, so I'm stuck pretty well right now.  I don't know what to do to solve this problem.

  Please can someone give me a hand with this?

  Please uninstall Manager extensions as well as InDesign, then restart your computer and reinstall InDesign, then Extension Manager CS6 since the CC desktop application.

• Lack of Plug-ins for InDesign CS6

  Everything about the program has worked perfectly until he started to plant last week - when I opened a file, it hang, and once I do it to make changes to the file, it would become unresponsive after I double click on a text box.

  Now, when I open InDesign or any InDesign file, I get errors advising me of plug-ins specific are missing:

  I've already updated the Adobe CS6 software and updated my MAC OS. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the program with no luck. Is there a patch I need to run, or somewhere where I can download the plug-ins missing (I find the plugin folder and the files above are in fact absent)?

  Unfortunately, just uninstall and reinstall InDesign individually did not help - however, uninstall and then reinstall the entire suite seem to have solved the problem. No problems so far.

• How to trash the prefs for InDesign CS6?

  Very, very frustrating.

  Each 'how to' I find online on the way to the trash my ID CS6 Pref told me to replace the files called "InDesign Defaults" and "InDesign SavedDate. The locations of these are supposed to be here:

  InDesign Defaults:

  Macintosh: Disk hard/users / < USER > / Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign / < Version # > / < language > /.

  InDesign SavedData:

  Macintosh: users/hard disk / < USER > / Library/Caches/Adobe InDesign / < Version # > / < language > /

  Well, there is no "Library" folder in my folder '< USER > '. The folder does not exist "Hiding" anywhere on my hard drive. Nowhere is there not "Adobe InDesign" folder on my hard drive. There seems not to be all the files on my hard drive with the names of "InDesign Defaults" or "InDesign SavedDate".

  What all this possible?

• Is there a new version or upgrade firmware for PPro CS6 from 2014 6 4?

  I must now deal with the latest codecs (XAVC HDCAM SR, DnX and ProRes) that my standard CS6 PPro does not. There are 3rd party plugins available, but I can just wait the end of NAB to see what Adobe has to offer. News from nowhere?

  You will need to subscribe to the creative cloud and get the latest version of PP to manage XAVC and DNxHD files natively.  HDCAM SR must enjoy now in CS6 as ProRes via the installation of QuickTime.

  It will never be updated for InDesign CS6. This has been discussed to death. Adobe updated the CS6 applications that she could update. Illustrator and Photoshop come to mind, so your conspiracy theory is incorrect.

  InDesign should be re-written from scratch due to the difference in the way it was designed.

  Your choice is to live with it or move to creative cloud.

  I did a lot of scripts for InDesign CS6 vb. Now, on CC they seem not to want to work more. Java scripts work very well and can be started from the InDesign application. But my vb scripts can only be started from in the solution instead of the InDesign application Explorer.

  Someone at - he a clue where the problem is maybe?

  I don't know too much about targeting in practice when it comes to CC.

  Looks like you need rebuild the store somewhere .tlb files like C:\ProgramData\Adobe\InDesign\Version 9.0\en_IL\Scripting Support\9.0

  Rename the resource file it and restart indesign with administrative privileges.

  Also if you don't have CC2014 then install that and see if things work on it.
