Toshiba WT7-C-100 - I think I erased all of the HARD drive

I tried to reset to factory my Tablet but I think I deleted all the hard drive. When turned on, it goes into a shell as the screen back. HELP please.

Number of things spring to mind first...

(1) how exactly you factory reset it?
(2) are you able to access the boot / recovery screen? (Turn off, wait 10 seconds, plug the charger, hold the volume button upwards and the power button at the same time)
(3) you did a backup stop cable OTG device and a flash disk HARD before reset you?

You can also find drivers as follows. Go to the Toshiba support website and search for Windows Vista drivers for your specific model number.

  • Problems with my XPS 1530, think it's the hard drive

I recently had some problems with my xps 1530. The screen freezes quite often. Okey it no worries, I'm really used to it since my last pc was 5 or 6 years ago when I bought a new, but it does not seem to recover after this freez. I have no way to turn it off except by pressing the power butten for several seconds. I'm no expert, but I don't think it's good for the hard drive. And seriously, I'm tired of doing too many times. In any case, I decided to run a disk check, although it usually runs after reboot in this way. When he starts checkup automatically after a reboot, like that, there are only 3 steps. But I had planned a checkup in the my computer section, right click on the c:

Step 1-3 runs smoothly, step 4 takes a little while, but it comes through. Step 5 stops at 98%. I even tried twice, twice stopped at almost at the same place.

I don't really know how I could have damaged the drive somehow, the laptop is on my desk since I bought it and I got it late July: s

  • Toshiba DT01ACA 3 TB HDD - How can I check the status of the HARD drive?

    Mediocre and slow HARD drive.

Maybe there's a proprietary software for Toshiba HDD?
    I have Windows 7 x 64.

I want to test yourself. If the HARD drive is not working properly, then take the warranty service.

    Thank you for your help.

I think you might need to install some sort of 3rd party software.
For example the tool as + CrystalDiskInfo + it s HARD/SSD drive utility software that takes over a part of the connection USB and Intel RAID.

  • Satellite L20-100 can be started from a USB external hard drive?

I recently bought Toshiba Satellite L20-100 and I wonder if:
    1. is it possible to boot this machine from a disk usb external drive?
    2. it is possible to attach another internal hard drive?

Assuming that the two answers above are 'no', how can we solve the following problem: I need hard drive space, I need to launch 3 systems of separate Wxp operating on the same machine (Toshiba Satellite L20-100).

You are right. The answer is no. Only thing you can do is to create 3 partitions and install on each a favorite OS. Using the Boot Manager, you will be able to choose one that fits in the beginning upward.

  • Question on erasing the HARD drive and partitions

Hi my name is Fanta and I want to sell my laptop to someone, but I want to avoid impersonation so.
I'll use an erasure software that will wipe away my whole HARD drive until there is no data.
This is why I would like to know if there is a recovery on my HARD drive partition ready, and if there is a partition to the HARD drive recovery.

Wipe tool will wipe the partition on the HARD disk. If he wipe the partition will take the recovery partition and if I need the recovery partition and I don't what will happen?

    Hello

Generally, you won't find any recovery on the HARD drive partition. The Toshiba Recovery CD should always be supplied with the device. It must be only installed the operating system with the Toshiba drivers and utilities.
However, if the Erase tool will also clear your partition then all files and data will be deleted.

The HARD drive will be formatted again during the installation of the OS. If you want to use partitions on the HARD disk, you can create it in addition with Magic8 Partitions. I use this app and it of very great.

    Hello

Take a look at this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=41606

Seems that you need a 2.5 IDE HARD drive.
I think you can take a 120 GB HDD and the HDD should work properly.

HARD drive Bay must be placed at the bottom of the unit.
Its guarantee with a plastic cover and screw. Remove the screw, then cover in plastic and then you should be able to remove the HARD drive...

  • Force erase/Format an external hard drive

I spent $ 140 on an external hard drive Seagate Backup Plus. As you can imagine, the instructions are crap. None of the software that are supposed to be installed on my external hard drive is there, and I am not given the choice of formatting a Mac.

So I thought I could just open disk utility, erase the hard drive, then format for Mac.

But when I click on the delete button, I get the message "failed the erase process.

Is there a way I can replace the error messages and force to erase an external hard drive?

    Thank you.

Have you tried the tab partition in disk utility? This will erase the disc and give you the ability to format in Mac OS extended (journaled).

I'm really skeptical if you can launch the second partition Toshiba ghost image files without using the Symantec Norton Ghost software.

I created a ghost of the C partition image and placed on the D partition.

  • Toshiba Satellite L50-B-1DJ does not supply power to the top after removing the HARD drive

    Hello world!

I have a Toshiba Satellite L50-B-1DJ. It has a 750 GB HARD drive, but it wasn't enough for me. So I bought a Toshiba 1 TB HARD drive. I have undone all the screws, carefully (using my driver's license), lifted up the plastic and removed a HARD disk.

BTW, I really like this plastic solution on the HARD drive!

Then I realized, that all my stuff is still on it.
So I put the HARD drive, I'm going to copy everything on my drive hard Ext. planning.
Well I screwed it back, got the battery, put the back of the AC adapter.

Battery charge light was on, indicating that the current flows. I pressed the 'Start' button, and nothing happened. He broke yet still nothing. I plugged the battery and the AC output adapter, I held the Power button for 30 seconds, put everything back still nothing. I got scared. Opened back once more, just to take a look at, so anything that slipped on. Nope.

Everything is a okay. What should do? I have the warranty? I hope not.
Can I fix myself without void my warranty? I hope so!

And also: I bought the laptop in Hungary, but I'm in Germany. Can I fix here in case my warranty is valid?

Thank you very much for your help!

  • wipedrive tool allows to erase the hard drive

    Hello

is there problem may occur if I erase all the % of files100 (the system vista, retrieving files... files) from the hard drive by wipedrive tool

    ?? and install windows 7

    I have a compaq presario V6000

Just use the W7 installation disc to clean the disc. I always recommend what he got rid if Vista entirely. In this way there is no chance of getting errors because you're from "unallocated space" as if you put in a new hard drive of bran. Do the usual and create recovery disks in case you go back to Vista and of course to back up all your personal stuff to be reinstalled later.

There is also a file on drive "C" called SwSetup which you must save it. Here are your drivers for Vista which will work in W7 and most importantly is the software that will not have the W7 installation disc, such as Microsoft Works, and I'm guessing that Cyberlink DVD suite. It is a very useful file.

Once, you save all the things I said, then go for the clean installation. You will have less problems in the end.

Here's a good tutorial on how to do a clean install of Cheryl. There a screen shot too.

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/OperatingSystems/SS/Windows-7-clean-install-part-1.htm

After installation, the first driver you want to load is your video card driver.

I took a quick glance and there is no drivers for your model in W7, but like I said your Vista drivers should work fine.

If this does not work you can always roll back to Vista with your recovery of the disc that I asked you to do.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00809678

Just to answer your question, I wouldn't wipe drive. In fact, it is not clean the disk. Filled it with a bunch of useless information so no one can retrieve what was already on the disk before. Wipe drive is used if you ever decide to take your computer to the recycling depot.

Who does not resemble a very stable place to put a new OS if you use Wipe drive.

  • New NB550D clean system and TOSHIBA recovery on the HARD drive.

    Hello

I was wondering, if I install a new clean Win 7 on my NB550D I keep TOSHIBA recovery on the HARD drive and when I need to use it.

If so, how can I do?

    > I was wondering, if I install a new clean Win 7 on my NB550D I keep TOSHIBA recovery on the HARD drive and when I need to use it.
You can keep it, but after installation of clean operating system, you will not be able to start the installation of recovery more. Now, when you press F8, you repair my computer option. After the installation of clean operating system this option will disappear.

What you need to do is to create DVDs of recovery or recovery USB key before you install own OS. Be careful about this.

After leaving another utility popped up giving me the opportunity to erase the HARD drive and so I did... After fact as well and all I had was a blank screen, no windows more or no matter what utility to reinstall windows, then I used my winxp pro installation CD, but the program installation would continue not after a certain point by saying that the installation did not find any HARD disk installed. followed by "ensure that any disk HARD r turned on and correctly connected, and that no matter what material associated drive configured correctly, this may involve running a manufacturer provided diagnostic or Setup program. Clearly it took me by surprise. What was supposed to be a cut to white erase and reinstall now me baffled and angry. Formats the HDD of the solution? If so why didn't not the usefulness of lenovo do... If not, what is the problem? Someone help pls

  • 27-a010 all-in-One Pavilion: why the hard drive from my old computer Toshiba displayed on my new HP c drive?

I got this new computer on Monday. The reason why I bought a new was that I suspected that my old Toshiba got compromised. I even bought a new Linksys router that was AC 1900. My new HP computer has McAfee and uses MicrosoftEdge browser. There are several interesting questions, I hope that experts from HP can answer for me.

    1. why my old Toshiba drive appears on the hard drives in the Device Manager?

    2. Why are there readers D two on disk management? Can't update my Windows 10. I bought a new computer.

    3. why hiberfil.sys and pagefile.sys, swapfile.sys, BOOTNXT appear on my drive C Windows?

The above synptoms are normal? I need to do something about these questions or just leave them along? I have a microsoft all in one account.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Hello

I don't see your screen but:

    1. new machine uses Toshiba HDD, not your old machine of Toshiba. HP uses HARD disks with many suppliers, including Toshiba.

    2. Yes, it is normal. One with the file system is the real, without file system is a shadow one.

    3. normally, they are hidden system files, you can hide them if you wish.

    Kind regards.
