Upgrade from CS2 commercial education full CS5?

Hello

I'm new to this forum. I have a question about upgrading to CS5. I don't think that there was another question on this specific issue I have. If there is, I'm sorry to see it again.

Basically, I have a copy of version CS2 Design Premium Education. Now, I would like to upgrade to CS5 Design Premium Commercial version. I didn't need to work from home before, so never really need commercial license for my laptop. But now it's time to get one, so I can work anywhere.

I know there is an upgrade from CS2 to CS5 version I can buy, but it doesn't tell me if it can be used on the education version too.

Can someone confirm that the upgrade works on an education version too?

Thanks heaps.

Leanne

You can use the teaching license to upgrade to a commercial license. In fact, it's one of the reasons that adobe has created the educational license to encourage you to purchase a commercial license when you went out on your own. However, you new license replaces the old. You cannot use the old computer software one and simultaneously use the new license on another computer.

  • Upgrade from CS2 to CS3? (for Windows XP)

Hi, guys. I'm new here. And I only signed up for the forums so I could ask for help! Haha! So, let's go...

I recently started using Adobe CS2.

I signed up for the 30 day trial of RadLab by Totally Rad. It worked fine, but my trial expired before I could finish the pictures that I had been editing. So I uninstalled the RadLab trial, signed for a new trial with a different and re-installed e-mail address. Only, this time, RadLab would not work. So I contacted Totally Rad and the guy told me that RadLab won't work on CS2. It must be CS3 or higher. (I'm still confused as to how RadLab worked 30 days on my CS2 if it only allegedly works on CS3 or higher)...

So now, I'm looking to move from CS2 to CS3... but I don't know where to look. I tried Google, but nothing seems to match what I'm looking for. I wouldn't be upgraded all the way up to CS5, because I don't think that my PC can handle. (I was informed that CS5 takes a lot of space, and I don't think that my computer is strong enough to hold it all. My abilities are very limited. Even with CS2, I couldn't open/edit all at once.)

I say all this, to ask the following question...

How can I do to upgrade from CS2 to CS3, and it cost me an arm and a leg? I'm on a very tight budget ($150 is the highest absolute , I'm ready to go). I am unemployed and money is very tight.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi country... I just checked and RadLab also works with Photoshop Elements, and it's only about $75 right now!

  • Install CS5 UPGRADE from cs2 on Windows 8

I just bought a Windows computer running Windows 8, and I want to install it on CS 5. But I CS 5 is an upgrade, so it will not install I did not already have CS2 (my previous version) on the computer, and CS2 installs on Windows 8. What should I do?

I don't have CS2 (my previous version) already on the computer,

You don't need to have installed CS2.

If CS5 upgrade Setup cannot find an eligible earlier version installed then it will prompt you to enter the serial number CS2 instead.

  • upgrading from CS2 to 8 items

Can I upgrade my CS2 Photoshop elements 8 online?

Most of the people would not consider THAT PSE a upgrade to PS. Photoshop is the 747 of image processors, while the ESP is more like a Piper Cub. The usual upgrade would be to PS CS5, not elements. CS2 is also the last version that qualifies for upgrade PS price this time, which means that you will probably lose if you wait for CS6.

In any case, Yes, you can buy PES online, but it isn't really a version "upgrade", just a refund. If you shop around you can usually beat price from Adobe on the EP in places like amazon or your local big-box store, if that's really what you want to do.

  • Migration of a version upgrade from CS2 to a new computer

I have an upgrade copy of CS2 (I've upgraded from photoshop 5 and 5.5 to CS2). CS2 is installed on an XP machine and now I want to move to a Windows 7, but when I come to put my serial number, he wants me to point to the previous installation of photoshop (as an upgrade). I can not put the original PS5 on the PC so I need it because I lost the original disk. Anyone know how I can get around this please?

  • Get the new iMac - how upgrade from CS2

I get a new iMac in a few weeks and it will come with the new Snow Leopard operating system. I'm currently under Photoshop CS2 on a Powerbook running 10.4.11.

I know I need to switch from CS2 to CS4 to run Photoshop on the new iMac. What is the best way to do it? I don't think I can even install CS2 on the 10.6 iMac and have little place on my poor Powerbook first he set up.

It would be wonderful if I could keep the CS2 version running on my Powerbook and install a version upgrade of CS4 on the iMac. Is it still possible?

Download the upgrade to CS4 from CS2

When you install CS4 update on the new Mac simply enter CS2 serial number when prompted.

  • How can I download previously purchased Photoshop 5.0 so I can install the upgrade from CS2?

Can not find the CD but have serial number. Need the 5.0 version to install the upgrade to CS2 and it was on the old computer

If your ultimate goal is just to have photoshop cs2, then even if you had your ps 5 CD, it will do you no good, since adobe disabled for photoshop cs2 activation servers.

You can download no activation of photoshop cs2 and use the serial number on the download page.

Activation server stops for Creative Suite 2 and Acrobat 7 product Macromedia

  • the upgrade from cs2 to cs5

Hi, I have a copy of CS 4 somewhere and I also have CS2, I found. I want to upgrade to CS4, 5 or 6... whatever it is compatible with the OS of Maverick.

Not crazy about how shopping for creative cloud is set up. I don't need every month and would buy more like copy complete, tax only once.

CS6 is the only Creative Suite sold by Adobe.  If you want to buy it, you can do so through the following page, but CS2 or CS4 are eligible for buying CS6 an update, so you should buy the full version.

Then removed from my system at the beginning of this year (20100 and used another application.) But after trying CS5 on a friends PC I was impressed and decided to buy the upgrade from CS2 to CS5. I want to kow if I have to reinstall CS2 or can clean install CS5 I prefer. ?

If you deleted and that you have not used the cleanup utility then you should be able to put CS5 disc and run it. The software will ask for the serial number CS5 and can detect CS2 and not ask for serial number. If this isn't the case, then you must enter the serial numbers.

  • Can I upgrade from Photoshop CS2? [A: Novice Newbie Question...]

Complete the beginner artist only to learn PS and love it.  A free download CS2 year last of the Adobe site.  Have very limited internet usage, cannot use CC (cloud?) so I have to work offline. Can I upgrade to CS5 or?  Thank you!

Some points to note here since the responses you have received so far are not quite accurate:

    1. Download of CS2 that you used is not free. It is provided to people who have already paid for CS2. Anyone can view the page, download the software and use the serial number (no one knows why Adobe did), but it is intended only for existing customers.
    2. There is no upgrade from CS2. He's too old. You can not upgrade to CS5 or CS6.
    3. Your options are to buy a new full version of CS6 or join the Cloud
    4. The cloud doesn't have a continuous internet connection to be used. You download, install and run Cloud software the same way you always have. An occasional internet connection (all 99 days or less) is required for a check of the license, that's all.
    5. Before commit you to any purchase, make sure that your computer and operating system meet the requirements to run the latest version of Photoshop. Much has changed since CS2.

  • Windows 7 student version is identical to the full version upgrade if I'm upgrading from XP

Windows 7 student version is identical to the full version upgrade if I'm upgrading from XP

    Ronnie,

Thanks, if it is so why Microsoft sells version upgrade to the full version of its operating system, I was going to buy a full version, but if the student version will do exactly the same thing I may as well save the money. Also, I was wondering what was the difference between student and other versions of office, you views would be appreciated because it is all a bit confusing. Thank you once again.
    Regards Simon Cheetham

The difference between Windows 7 full version and upgrade versions is a matter of convenience.

The full version of Windows 7 does not require that you have a license of qualification to be eligible for the upgrade.

In order to install the Windows 7 upgrade version, you must have a system of eligible operating Windows installed and activated.  You cannot install a version upgrade of Windows 7 on a drive blank.

You can do the same thing with the student version, which makes the different student version is applied reduction if you have an account valid .edu.  There is no difference is the code of a regular retail upgrade version.

Also, I must point out, updates make it affordable for consumers to spend in future versions. For example, the PC I'm running now provided with Windows XP Professional, I didn't buy the Windows Vista Business Upgrade, Windows 7 Professional Upgrade instead of buying full versions of these newer versions.

Also, I was wondering what the difference was between the students and the other versions of microsoft office, you views would be appreciated because it is all a bit confusing.

One is a productivity suite and the other is an operating system. If you are referring to editing Office home and student, good Office Home and Student edition allows you to install on 3 computers. She is allowed only for noncommercial purposes. You are not eligible to reductions in upgrade for future versions. Andre Da Costa http://adacosta.spaces.live.com http://www.activewin.com
