Upgrade from CS4 Extended education at CS6

Two issues here. I bought the educational of CS4 Extended version when I was in school. Is no longer at the school, I would like to upgrade to no educational CS6. First question: I can spend with my educational license at a non educational? Second question: can I make CS4 Extended CS6 standard? I have no need of extras with Extended.

Thank you.

Not sure what you mean by there. Cs6 is the "last" standalone version. For anything else you need to register for creative cloud and at best your existing license will be good for a discount on the first year. The rest is irrelevant by all means.

  • Upgrade from Photoshop extended cs6 demo to full no extended software

    Hello

I was wondering, when the upgrade of my extended demo of Photoshop CS6 to the full version of Photoshop CS6 (not extended) the demo extended must be completely removed first to prevent conflicts?

Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CS6 Extended are installed from the same files, available for download. By default, the trial enable the full functionality of Photoshop CS6 Extended. If you choose to buy Photoshop CS6 rather than Photoshop CS6 Extended, you can simply enter your serial number for Photoshop and Photoshop Extended for 3D design features and scientific analysis will be disabled and hidden in the view.

  • Upgrade from CS2 commercial education full CS5?

    Hello

I'm new to this forum. I have a question about upgrading to CS5. I don't think that there was another question on this specific issue I have. If there is, I'm sorry to see it again.

Basically, I have a copy of version CS2 Design Premium Education. Now, I would like to upgrade to CS5 Design Premium Commercial version. I didn't need to work from home before, so never really need commercial license for my laptop. But now it's time to get one, so I can work anywhere.

I know there is an upgrade from CS2 to CS5 version I can buy, but it doesn't tell me if it can be used on the education version too.

Can someone confirm that the upgrade works on an education version too?

    Thanks heaps.

    Leanne

You can use the teaching license to upgrade to a commercial license. In fact, it's one of the reasons that adobe has created the educational license to encourage you to purchase a commercial license when you went out on your own. However, you new license replaces the old. You cannot use the old computer software one and simultaneously use the new license on another computer.

  • No way to upgrade to CS4 Extended CS4 versions?

Looking at the options of upgrade/eligibility under Photoshop CS4 Extended Upgrade in the store, there is no list for Photoshop CS4.  The difference in price (full-full) is $ 300.  So, if I am not mistaken, if I'm still "allowed" to update CS4 to CS4 Extended, it will cost me $50 more than if I had just bought CS4 Extended pure and simple?  Is this correct?  I can spend my old version of CS (8.0) for the same amount.  This does not seem right to me.

You can contact Adobe to upgrade railways are not.

  • Upgrade from CS4 or go directly to creative cloud?

    Hello

I have CS4 installed on my old iMac (now at his last breath) and have recently bought a new machine. I'm hoping to get some advice on the question of whether I should reinstall (download and activate) CS4 on my new iMac or launch directly in the creative cloud? This means that if I put in place in the creative clouds, it will be not necessary to buy all updates since CS4 - CS5 - CS6? If I transfer my work overall, my CS4 files will open in creative cloud or, if I am to CS4, it will be compatible with the new environment of Mac OS X Yosemite?

I mainly use Dw, Ps, Illustrator, Adobe Pro and now Lr under the new mounting platform for my photography work?

Before I go any further with the installation or set up, all the advice of users/technical support would be welcome.

    see you soon

    Tracey

Creative cloud is a completely independent product. There is no requirement for all previous versions. CS4 files should open very well, although of course a few things may be different. CS4 is not compatible with Yosemite, so this isn't a viable plan.

  • Upgrade from CS4 to CS5.5 as a student?

    Hello

I have Creative Suite design premium for PC (CS4) and I want to upgrade to CS5.5. I'm a student as a graphic designer, but I can't find anything on the purchases of upgrades as a student, only complete products?

    How can I do this?

You better not, you simply buy a new license of discounted student if you still qualify. It's just the way it is.

This means that the previous version was a part of a suite as Design Premium or it was an academic version.

I upgraded from Dreamweaver CS4 to CS6. but now when I want to download, I "MFP error - cannot establish a connection to the host. I spent hours with the technician of the host and we can't find the error. I reinstalled DW4 and it connects to accommodate perfectly. Anyone else seen this problem?

    Mac OS 10.8.5

    DW6 error code.png
None of these issues are causing the error in DW CS6. We double-checked all of them and we did everything right. Also I have exactly the same SiteSetup in DW CS4 and that works perfectly well. Might need to factor 6 which did not exist in the 4? Something that is not in the SiteSetup but in a hidden dialog box?

I can also download my host using Fetch, a third party FTP. And like I said that DW CS4 works very well. So the problem is not with my host, sound with DW CS6 in particular.

You are most likely missing something fairly simple (some goofy box cache you in some menus random). The best way to solve this problem, without playing 20 questions...

1 open the site in DWCS4 and go to Site > Manage Sites > export to create a your site settings .ste file.

    2. close DWCS4 and open DWCS6

    3. go to the Site > Manage Sites > Import to import the .ste file to create a new site at DWCS6

This will create an exact copy of your CS4 settings in CS6. If it still does not work, let know us and someone should have another idea for you.

  • Trying to upgrade to CS4 from CS3 Extended

I'm trying to upgrade to CS4 CS3 Extended.  Web page States Adobe to call Adobe support for this upgrade.  I call them before I try the upgrade to ask what I should do.  They tell me to intall it and recall.  I get to the screen series and call, they tell me to fully install in trial mode, then remind.  I have this and remember, but notice that he installed CS4 Extended, CS4 No.  They tell me that they cannot help me because I bought only CS4.  That's all I want is CS4, so I uninstall CS4 extended and try again.  Once again (from disk) installation install CS4 Extended(At least that is what the title page says).

Do I need to uninstall it before installing version CS4 CS3 Extended?

    Thanks for any help,

    bdriscoll

The behavior is normal. Advanced features are dictated by the serial number when you buy the full version, but the trial still runs as PS Extended. Installation is the same, anyway.
