Upgrade memory HyperX on E520 - need advice

I have 4 GB of RAM and you want to spend to 8 GB.  I am considering getting HyperX RAM.  I'm not a gamer, but I use the computer heavily every day, with many programs/windows open.  I also want to have the best performance while doing video editing.

I don't really know anything about it, so I need to know:

1 HyperX settles on the E520?

2. If so, changes to the system to do?

3. If Yes, where can I find this info?

4. is there a difference in the performance of the system, even if I'm not a gamer?

5. What are the advantages/disadvantages of the use of HyperX on the E520?

6. problems/issues using HyperX on the E520?

If experienced system users can tell me that the upgrade with ordinary memory be more sufficient for my needs, I'll be happy to do so.

All the advice in making this decision will be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

I hope that this is the list of "stay away" from lead_org

I got lucky with Crucial.

There are a good number of reports of problems with Corsair.  I don't think it's a bad product, in general, but there seems to be problems with Corsair and Lenovo.

It depends on what Mac model you have and is not possible for all models. Go to the website of OWC or Crucial and check.

  • Need help with problems upgrade memory on Pavilion DM4

    I have a Pavilion DM4 1201us with original DDR3 2x2gb memory cards.

I bought a pair of Corsair DDR3 1333 Mhz 4 GB memory cards.

I have the latest BIOS (F.27) and I'm running the OEM Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - Bit. SP1.

The BIOS recognizes the 8 Gb and when I run the BIOS memory test it runs without error.

When I try to boot Win7, it gets somewhere before the logon screen and makes a BSOD with a message about a new memory being installed.

I went back the Corsair Memory cards, but you need to know if there is a problem with any upgrade up to 8 GB of memory with my particular setup. HP offers an upgrade to 8 GB with the same spec boards. (I'm beyond the warranty period!)

    Any thoughtts?

    Interesting!

I can tell you that the model only supports 8 GB memory: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02704310

Have you tried more than one kit of 8 GB?

The reason why I ask is with memory DDR sometimes reticular sticks will pass all the tests if the two sticks are installed then a stick could be bad without you knowledge.

Also you tried a bar of 4 GB and a 2 GB stick to see how it worked?

  • You want to upgrade drive HARD need advice...

    Hello world

I have a compaq presario CQ 40-330 YOU laptop with 160 GB hard drive. now, I want to upgrade to say 320 or can be prefarebly 500 GB 7200 RPM HARD drive. my system won't be able to manage this update? need your opinion very much. I hv seen on the external HARD drive option but the drive external HARD come with a USB 2.0 interface and I think that it data transfer will be very slow. which is why need a HARD drive upgradation internal.

My main concern are about heat of the system. Is - this upgradation advicible?

    Regarding

    Gerard

Well Yes, you can add 500 GB HDD to this book... In order to reduce the thermal problem, I suggest go with 5400 RPM... You may not really need upgrade memory for the performance of 500 GB hard drive...

  • Need advice on disk HARD and memory on Satellite A100

I am buying a Satellite A100-756 which has a 120 GB of HARD drive memory and 1 GB.

I've seen what seems like hatches for easy access to these two areas. Is it easy to upgrade, and this will affect the warranty?

I also try to find out if the HARD drive with the laptop's SATA? Can someone help me with how to do it?

    Hello

I'm not 100% sure, but the latest and all the latest Toshiba laptops models have SATA hard drives. To be honest you I really understood why t HDD upgrade. A100 is a newer model with really sufficient HARD drive capacity. Compare with the other laptop models and you will see 120 GB is more than enough. Upgrade of RAM is always good.

In any case the decision is yours and you can do what you want. Upgrade memory should not be problem because the coverage of memory is in the lower corner. Sorry, but I can't tell you where is the HARD disc, but the fact is that, probably, keyboard must be removed.

I recommend you contact your local dealer and clarify this point with him. Upgrade memory should not be a problem but to upgrade the HARD drive, it is necessary to disassemble the camera (not all), and it definitely the warranty valid.

  • HP ENVY Sleekbook 4-1000en: upgrading memory on ENVY 4-1000en

    Hello

Since I have some basic computer knowledge, but I want to be sure before you go for it, I need your advice.

I have a HP ENVY Sleekbook 4-1000en and I have recently upgraded to HDD and the OS.

I think the upgrade of RAM have, as far as I know that you need 2 memories of the same type, so I guess I can't buy an another 4 GB right?

Do I need 2 x 4 GB of DDR3 memory, of the same type to make it work? For example they would work very well

    http://www.corsair.com/en/vengeance-8gb-high-performance-sodimm-memory-upgrade-kit-cmsx8gx3m2a1600c9 ?

Finally the upgrade memory requires any other configuration after plugin in? Is a format for example?

    Thanks for your time.

    Hello

The following link shows the specifications of your computer:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03362810

It has 4 GB of RAM now. The question is 4 GB in a dwelling or in the two slots (2 + 2).

b in the case of a home, you can just buy another 4GB with SAME part/characteristics of the EXISTING RAM and install in the second slot.

    (b) if in 2 slots (IE 2 + 2), then throw them both and buy 2 new sticks 4 GB each. Agin use even care.

You don't need to format RAM. Moreover, we have only to format HDD/SSD but not RAM. And Yes, push in the two slots must be same same specs even marks to be able to get all the benefits.

    Kind regards.

  • Question about upgrade memory

Need advice on upgrading memory. I recently decided to upgrade my current memory 256 MB to 512 MB by adding an another 256 in an empty slot. My question is when I install the memory, I have to do something in the BIOS, or the system will automatically recognize the newly introduced memory.
    Thank you

    Hi Roohbir,

You have to change anything in your BIOS because the POSITION normally detects the available RAM modules. I would recommend watching the BIOS during the initial boot process to ensure that the new memory is found.

Soory if you already that, but please make sure that you clear yourself of any static build-up before touching your RAM modules. They are very easy to damage with a discharge of static electricity.

    Good luck with your upgrade.

  • Upgrade memory on an all in a single LX830

I may upgrade the 4 GB provided to meet the requirements of the program. Additional memory needs to be installed in pairs? The existing 4 GB occupies a dwelling, can I mount 8 GB in another location or it will be incompatible?

Well, mainly upgrade memory depends on the support of the chipset/CPU.

Not quite sure what computer Toshiba LX830 do you have exactly but as far as I know the L830 all in one units would support up to 16 GB of RAM.

A property used by a 4 GB RAM module and housing is free.
This is why it must be able to use another additional module of 8 GB RAM.

But of course, another module of 8 GB RAM should be compatible with the current 4 GB of RAM.
Otherwise, you will get some compatibility issues

  • Re: Equium A60 (PSA670) - upgrading memory

    Guys,

My brother bought an Equium A60 a few years ago and is trying to improve memory. The current configuration of the memory is as follows

    Slot 0 256 MB
    Slot 1 is empty.

I can't seem to slot 0, but I am able to access the location 1. I plan on 512 MB or 1 dildo DDR 2700 memory in slot 1. But I do not have the specsso of the motherboard I don't know what the memory configuration is supported.

I tried the Toshiba site, but could not find all the manuals. Anyone here know the spces are to know where I can download manuals.

    Hello

The maximum RAM capacity is 1280MB and the 256 MB internal memory and can't be exchanged for 1 location is available for the upgrade of memory.
This means that you can install the module 1024MB of available memory slot and you need memory PC2700 specification.

By the way: the user manual can be downloaded from the Toshiba website, that s no problem:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download user manual

  • Upgrade memory voltage

Hi - I have a HP Pavilion t685.uk, with 1 GB of RAM - I want to add more RAM. Memory cards are DDR-400 s, however, when I look online to purchase one, I find there are 2 different voltages available - 2, 5V and 2, 6V. I looked in all the documents that I have for the PC, but nowhere no it tells me the RAM voltage.

    I noticed here...

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/desktop-hardware/upgrading-memory/m-p/124/highlight/true#M3

This tension is not mentioned - but it is certainly important?

In any case, I need to know the voltage and the purchase of the module OK, or is - this important step?

If I need to know the blood - how will I know?

    Thanks in advance!

    Robin

PC3200 is THAT DDR SDRAM designed to operate at 200 MHz using DDR - 400 chips with 3 200 MB/s bandwidth. Because PC3200 memory transfers data on both fronts and clock, its effective clock rate is 400 MHz. (Source here)

See here the memory (in number thereon) refers to the PC-3200 (200 Mhz).

The final answer: you can install up to (4) 1 GB PC3200 DDR400 modules. The system will show around 3.25 to 3.5 GB of memory. (Please don't ask, it's just the simple truth about 32-bit OS).

  • Upgrade memory for Tecra A5

Hello, if anyone can help, I would be very grateful.

I have a Tecra A5 that I bought a few years ago and recently it has become quite slow. On the suggestion of a colleague, I rebooted the machine, remove a lot of unused programs and it seems to have improved.

However, I would like to upgrade the RAM. Currently, the task manager tells me I have 1 GB of available, and I read that the Tecra A5 can handle 2 GB, which seems likely to boost performance.

However, looking at the manual and at the bottom of the laptop, it only seems to be a slot to expand memory. Looking at websites selling RAM upgrades, there only seems to be 128, 256, 512 and 1024 MB memory upgrades.

Here's the question. Should I buy two memory upgrades 1 GB (and if so, where did I put the other?)

I have a feeling that when I bought the laptop, the seller has provided two upgrades memory of 512 MB.

Thanks for any advice on this.

You are right. Your Tecra can be upgraded up to 2 GB. Compatible RAM module has PA3313U-2M1G part number. Are you a location is available downstairs?
This old Tecra is unknown to me, but what I do know, is that all laptops with a RAM slot at the bottom have an another slot memory under the keyboard.

If you want to have full access to this slot machine, you must remove the keyboard.

  • Upgrade memory - 4100XCDT

    Hello
I am the proud owner of a 4100XCT satellite.
I have upgradet the HARD drive on a 30BG drive.
I also tried to upgrade memory (RAM live) but the 256 MB Dimm PC133 so-built by A-Data, with I ordered seems not to be compatible with the laptop. (The system no longer starts when the new RAM is installed.)

An update of the BIOS would help solve this problem?
And: RAM that is compatible with this laptop? (Is there a witch of memories 256 MB are compatible?)

    Thanks for reading.

    Hi Katzenfreund

The nice thing about Toshiba and memory upgrades, it's that we don't need to think about what technology or the speed to use. Just use original (recommended) or search in the referencetable of the provider to use, their module that is compatible with the partnumber Toshiba memory you want.

Toshiba PA-numbers for the 4100 are:
    PA3004U - 64 MB
    PA3005U - 128 MB

    Good luck

    Tom

  • Upgrade memory 4 GB on Satellite A200-23W

    Hello
I asked Toshiba service here in Greece upgrade memory than my A200 23W and they buy a 2 GB memory module (I noticed that there was no need for 2 because there was that one module in this topic but anyway...).

I did and installed the new memory, but since than, in the information system, I can only see this:

Name of the Microsoft® Windows Vista Home Premium operating system
    Version 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001
Another Description of the OS is not available
Manufacturer of operating system Microsoft Corporation
    Name of COMSPI08-PC system

    SMBIOS Version 2.4
    Windows directory C:\Windows
    System directory C:\Windows\system32
    Boot Device \Device\HarddiskVolume2
    Locale Greece
Hardware Abstraction Layer Version = "6.0.6001.18000".
    User name-
    GTB time zone
    Physical memory (RAM) 4.00 GB
    3.00 GB total physical memory
    2.01 GB available physical memory
    6.19 GB total virtual memory
    5.12 GB available virtual memory
    Page file space 3.29 GB

So my question is WHY AVAILABLE PHYSICAL MEMORY IS STILL 2.01 GB? When I installed 4 GB and the system can see that only in theory.

There is nothing wrong with your system. As you have already posted, windows displays your total amount of 4 GB of physical memory and the total physical memory to 3 GB.
The part with the available memory is a thing of windows and displays how much memory is left for other programs, because windows needs some of them your own sound.

So, if you want to use all of your 4 GB you will need to use a 64 bit version of Vista, because 32-bit versions are limited to a maximum size of 3, 29GB as already indicated your page file space.

Hope this cleared some things now.
