Upgrade memory on Compaq 15-h050nl

I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade the RAM on the Compaq 15-H050nl. I can't always find the maximum ram supported. My model running Windows 8.1 64-bit with 4 GB of ram. Is it possible to install 8 GB? Thanks for the info.

Supports single channel memory

Support of the DDR3L-1600-MHz single channel

Single channel support DDR3L 1 333 MHz (DDR3-1600 downgrade of DDR3-1333)

Supports up to 8 GB of RAM in the following configurations:

● System total of 8192 MB memory (8192 × 1.) or (4096 x 2)

● total system 6144 MB memory (4096 x 1) + (2 048 × 1)

● System total of 4096 MB memory (4096 × 1.) or (2048 x 2)

● total 2048 MB system memory (2 048 × 1).

Looks like 8 GB maximum.

Your laptop has two DIMM slots. The maximum amount of memory, others have upgraded to 4 GB is. The maximum recommended by HP is 2 GB. The memory of replacement should be PC2-5300 667 Mhz, 1.8V

Here is a link to the memory at Crucial.com.  Only use the modules of replacement by major memory creators who produce guaranteed compatible memory modules to avoid the risk of buying incompatible modules.

  • Presario sg-3320il: upgrade of RAM Compaq presario sg-3320IL

    Hello

My office - compaq presario sg3320il originally supplied with 1 GB ddr2 RAM (2 x 512 MB sticks). I bought a 2 GB Transcend DDR2 800 Mhz RAM stick (model number: JM800QLU - 2G). It worked perfectly when I removed the old sticks pre-installed and added this new RAM stick only (IE, with a total of 2 GB of memory). I bought another stick of 2 GB of RAM - same brand, same frequency, same model number too and now when that is added with the older 2 GB of RAM, it does not work properly. Some weird appears on the start screen for half the time and sometimes when I restart the system, he gets up to system boot and then hangs or restarts.

The two 2 GB RAM when used only work perfectly. Product specifications are here as well as the news of upgrade memory - http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/Compaq-Presario-SG3320IL-Desktop-PC/3697170/model/3707607/docume...

    Help, please

    Hello again @kau_shik_51094,

In the case of 2 RAM sticks not even work together, I suspect that the slot on your motherboard is damaged.

Really, there may be another explanation that your computer works with both sticks independently of each other, but not together and since they are the exact same it leaves only the motherboard as the problem.

I hope this helps. Thanks again for your post on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • upgrade memory dv6226us

I have a laptop with Vista Home Premium DV6226US and 1 GB of memory (original configuration).  The computer began to run very slowly, and I am debating whether to increase the RAM to 2 GB or 4 GB.

    (1) what is the maximum memory that can be installed on this computer?  There are two sites of memory in the chassis, but I can't find the maximum capacity in the system documentation.

    (2) has seen improved with an upgrade memory performance?

    (3) any benefit of upgrading to Windows 7?

    Thank you.

    Hello

    1. please use the following link, you can buy them or aid info (including price) to buy elsewhere:

    http://www.crucial.com/upgrade/HP+-+Compaq-memory/Pavilion+dv6000+series/Pavilion+dv6226us-upgrades.html

2 as you can see from the above link: max is 2 GB. This site can also help you to analyze your computer to check the configuration (RAM).

    3. normally from 1 GB to 2 GB, you can feel a lot of improvement, but after that time very difficult to see, even we know it's there. The upgrade to Windows 7 will help but not interesting at this stage, given that Windows 8 is the corner of the street.

My suggestion: upgrade of RAM only and save money for new machine later.

    Kind regards.

  • 6510 b upgrade memory is not recognized

I just bought an upgrade memory 4G for my 6510 b, which currently has 512 MB, but no matter what combination I install memory, my laptop does not recognize him.

Based on the specification of the laptop, this is the correct specification, DDR2 667 MHZ PC2 5300 2 x 2 GB SODIMM.

When I install the new memory on its own (a stick or both) the machine will not start.

When I install or the other of the 2G stick with the stick of 512 MB (in each slot) machine starts, but does recognize that the 512 MB.

The stick of 512 MB is a lower speed, PC2-4200 DDR2-% 533, but I don't see what is the cause.

For me, it was mentioned the memory of some (less known) manufacturers will not be recognized by HP/Compaq machines. This could be the reason? , I bought this, Web, of Koybe Inc., CA, USA.

Is there something I need to do to get my laptop to recognize the memory or should I return it as inconsistent.

    Thanks in advance.

Well, there is a version update of the BIOS out there, but I don't see anything in the revision history who does act of memory.  If you have another laptop you could see if the memory works in this machine that you may have just gotten a bad pair, or it can be the cheap good memory that is the question.  Generally, you want to stick with the brand like Kingston or PNY memory, they have a great reputation.

  • Upgrade memory on an all in a single LX830

I may upgrade the 4 GB provided to meet the requirements of the program. Additional memory needs to be installed in pairs? The existing 4 GB occupies a dwelling, can I mount 8 GB in another location or it will be incompatible?

Well, mainly upgrade memory depends on the support of the chipset/CPU.

Not quite sure what computer Toshiba LX830 do you have exactly but as far as I know the L830 all in one units would support up to 16 GB of RAM.

A property used by a 4 GB RAM module and housing is free.
This is why it must be able to use another additional module of 8 GB RAM.

But of course, another module of 8 GB RAM should be compatible with the current 4 GB of RAM.
Otherwise, you will get some compatibility issues

  • Upgrade memory on NB300-108

Looking to upgrade the RAM to 2 GB on my NB300-108

Have you looked at the website of Toshiba and the cost, but there seems to be a plethora of alternative sites with upgrades memory compatible when I put in the part number.

Would like to receive experiences in the forum about alternatives etc.

    Thank you

    Hello

    The laptop supports DDR2 800 MHz SO-DIMM or PC2-5300 (DDR2 667 Mhz) modules.
These modules are provided by different companies.
There are good quality modules and less quality modules

Of course, you can choose and buy the cheapest, but in this case, you use the risk of compatibility problems.

I made good experiences with RAM from Kingston. These are of good quality and not too expensive modules

  • Upgrading memory on the NB550D - 11 d - 4 GB of RAM are possible

To anyone who thinks of a memory upgrade on the NB550D:

The NB550D supports up to 4 GB of memory, not only 2 GB as mentioned by Toshiba in their specifications.
Upgrade memory to 2 GB is _only limited_ by the pre installed Windows 7 Starter OS, and not by the netbook itself.

I use Linux Mint 11 Katya, 64-bit and my system works perfectly well with a 4 GB ram module. If you want to use the full support for 4 GB ram, get rid of the Win 7 Starter operating system.

Specifications for more memory ram volume are DDR3 1333 MHz PC3-10600 SO-Dimm. I chose a 4 GB of Corsair module, because of the guarantee of 30 years of offers from Corsair.

It took me a while to find this out hope, that this will be a help to all those who are just as secure as I was how to upgrade memory NB550D. Good luck. (o).

    Thanks for the comments

Also it of important to mention than the 32-bit systems (not serious if its Linux or Windows) would recognize only 3.2 GB since it is a limitation of 32-bit
So to use all of the 4 GB RAM 64-bit system is required.

  • Question about upgrading memory Satellite M55-S1001

can you please recommend what to do? I want to make my satellite m55-s1001 run faster please let me know, what do you recommend: 512 MB or 1 GB of memory? I'm not familiar with updates so please help!

    Hello

First of all, if you want to go for fastest laptop, you should start with simple things.
Try to defragment the disk, turn off the background process is not necessary, etc.
Upgrade memory will the powerful laptop and of course a lot more quickly.

To my knowledge the Satellite M55 should support the bars of memory 2 x 1024MB, and I also recommend the use of 1024MB instead of 512 MB module.
