  Upgradation does not mean that your current version will change again. If you are upgrading, you can have the two Elements 6 and 11 running on the same computer.

  Upgradation just helps you to buy the new version at a reduced rate, because you own an earlier version as well.

  Anyone have an example to edit the Item Description field of the Machine by program through any means?

  I tried to work with the entity of coffee, but it only adds a custom property called "description" instead of actually change the description itself.

  When you run a statement reconfigures (formerly called Edit) since the interface Web, the REST call has a couple of keys for the description... but there also all networks, storage and "PropertyBag" key.  And these keys are so long with properties and custom properties, it would be not terribly viable to build the keys based on the choice of the machine. (doable but nightmarish for support... for instance, if a custom property is added later, the key value breaks)

  I'll try to play with the REST calls today, but I don't think it will prove to be very promising.

  If you have a problem dl'g, you don't follow all 7 steps.  the most common mistake is not meticulously follow the steps 1, 2, and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system, allowing you to download the correct version of the adobe.com site).

  You should have copied the old, changed pfile file just before the upgrade and then you will be able to change the settings in the spfile by issuing "alter system set = scope = spfile.

  If you want to forward, and then run the script in the below document and based on the brand of output, the modifications necessary for the spfile:

  MX from Macromedia does not qualify for upgrades b/c it's too old.

  Your only options are to join the creative cloud and pay every month.

  Or buy CS6 outright.  Just keep in mind that CS6 is no update receiver any longer and it's 4 versions of the latest version available from the creative cloud Plan.
