Upgrade to IE10; Load PDF files is more

In Windows 7, IE 9, Acrobat 10.  All right.  A PDF file open in the browser.

Upgrade to PDF and IE not plu 10 opened in the browser.

Adobe support tried many things and could not solve the problem.

To be honest, I wasn't ready to install a non-Microsoft browser.

Found answer and displayed as an Acrobat bug in the hope he would be available to support the staff and readers of this forum.

  • My PDF files is more loaded correctly into the Chrome browser

    http://prosol1.com/Paragon.html

I don't know if this is the right forum with this issue, but it has something to do with the PDFs.  Please visit the web page above.  Click on one of the links to the PDF newsletter.  When I downloaded these files on the server originally, I tested them and they are all loading correctly in the web browser.  Now, none of them are visible in the Chrome browser.  There are error messages popping up.

When you right-click on them and save to your desktop and open, they work very well.  Also, I just tested the links above in MS IE and all 3 of them works fine there as well - PDFs loading in Internet explore as they should.

Does anyone know what is the problem?  Any help is appreciated.

  • Automaticly loading pdf files in the document (multiple pages, on several work plans) model.

    Hello

I created a few models photos in Photoshop for a prospectus (8 pages) placed on 4 work plans (front, two rear and inner pages).

At the present time, I have every linked page (I followed some tutorials), so that when I click on the layer, it opens a new window where I can paste into the page and save/close (which is that the function called again?) )

As I will do this regularly and the order of the pages will always be the samen, is there a way to automate this?

Meaning: linking the model to PDF and have it automatically choose each page and place it in the right order/location?

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thank you

    Benny

I don't know of any way to import multiple files at a time. I agree... your action does not save much if anything. I was wrong.  Perhaps using an action is not your solution.  You can try using loading files in the stack. Who would get at least all the imported files at the same time.

  • Kindle is bad in the conversion of PDF files into MOBI files.  Adobe has a better way?

I would like to read Adobe PDFs on my Kindle.  (The Kindle versions that use e - ink have the advantage that they can be read in full sun on my lawn).  Normally, to read a PDF file, I simply email it to your Kindle, with the object of "convert".   The problem is that with the scientific articles that have equations and illustrations, the results are often poor.  Moreover, even with regular PDF files, I can get titles that are somehow in the middle of a paragraph, or phrases that suddenly have a sentence fragment another among them.

I do not own an Adobe product, (apart from the drive shipped free in the browser of Microsoft Edge), but there are perhaps better converters out there.  MOBI is very similar to HTML and so I could save a PDF file as HTML in certain adobe products, and then send the result by e-mail to my Kindle (with a subject line of convert), and maybe I would get better results.

What is the best solution (apart from complaining to Amazon) on it?

    Thank you.

In fact there is no need to convert a PDF file to a Kindle format. Apart from there being no methodology 'clean' for all Kindle devices can make the PDFs.

Registered Kindle owner can send a PDF on Kindle (with no conversion) e-mail account free of charge.

Or transfer the PDF file to the desktop or laptop computer via a USB cable.

  • PDF files will not open no PSE 13

When I upgraded to PSE 13, pdf files would open is no longer the Organizer.  I'm used to be able to do this.  I don't mean I want to modify the PDF (I have not), but I don't want that I just want to see the content.  It's cumbersome to go back to my original file folders to find the file and open it upwards from there.  How can I open it from the Organizer as I used to be able to do in previous versions of the EP?

Try to reinstall the adobe reader software.

I had to go back and look at some documentation on our application server. If these steps do not work for you, you may need to click on 'Help' in your business manager and search for 'DADDY' or "Database Access Descriptor".

    According to these steps:
    1. connect to Oracle Enterprise Manager (http://finserv1:1810) - this would be the name of your server and port
    2. click on FIN_Midtier_1.finserv1 - this would be the name of your application server
    3. click on HTTP_Server
    4. click on Administration
    5. click on properties of PL/SQL (link at the top: application server: FIN_Midtier_1.finserv1 > HTTP_Server > mod_plsql Services)
    6. scroll the page to the Section of DAD
    7. click the Create button (right part of the screen)
    8. Select Type of DADDY of the general and click on Next (step 1 of 2)
    9. start to fill in the information of connectivity for DAD
10 to precede the name of DAD or a location to a / pls in this example: / pls/findadgen
    11. username: enter the user name where the stored procedure (READ_PDF)
12 password: enter the password for the user name that you just entered.
13 Connect String is the database you want the DAD to connect to (the READ_PDF where)
    14. the connection string format is: TNSFormat because the connection string is resolved through tnsnames.ora
15 get the language NLS value by running the following query against the schema/database this DAD is to be setup for:

    select value, parameter
      from nls_database_parameters
     where parameter in ('NLS_LANGUAGE', 'NLS_TERRITORY','NLS_CHARACTERSET');

    VALUE PARAMETER
    ---------------------------------------- ------------------------------
    AMERICAN NLS_LANGUAGE
    AMERICA NLS_TERRITORY
    WE8ISO8859P1 NLS_CHARACTERSET

Enter the value in the form: _.< nls_characterset="">
In our example, we have: AMERICAN_AMERICA. WE8ISO8859P1

    16. default Page: enter the name of the procedure that will be called if it is not specified in the URL. In our example, we use the name of the procedure: read_pdf
17 Authentication Mode: the default value of Basic
    18. then click on Next (step 2 of 4) at the bottom right
    19. click on next again (step 3 of 4)
    20. click OK (step 4 or 4)
    21. your done. Don't forget DAD or any changes made to the DAD will not take effect until the server is restarted. Take the necessary steps to get this done.

We then get an image with the chapters of dads who shows a name or location of/pls/findadgen, the user name, connect the string and status (green arrow - maximum)

  • Cannot open PDF files in Distiller 8

Last week I was able to open a PDF with Distiller 8.  Now, when I try to open a PDF file, this is the warning he gives: warning: Distiller is not treated. Newspaper. PDF or. The JDF file extensions

I do not understand why I was able to open the file one day and not the other.  I was able to select a PDF file and select 'Open with' and Distiller 8 was in the list and the file would open as it would if I had opened in Reader or Acrobat.  I need to open the file in Distiller to make the necessary changes.  You cannot make the same changes to the files in Reader or Acrobat, as you can the Distiller.  Please help me if you can!

Same answer three years ago, but I will state as simply as possible.

Acrobat Distiller does not open PDF files in some way, shape, or form. The only purpose of Acrobat Distiller is to convert PostScript to PDF files, nothing more and nothing less.

If you need to change aspects of a PDF file, including properties, image compression, file size, etc., you open a PDF in Acrobat Pro and use the native PDF that are appropriate.

  • loading data into a pdf file

I was using CF7 to query data and load in the pdf file using the blog of Ben Forte XPAAJ java library. It's simple, and it worked very well. Then came CF8 and LiveCycle ES. XPAAJ was free, but is not free of LiveCycle ES. LC ES does much more than load data into a pdf and cost a bit, but it's probably worth the money. Because a small part of the LC ES is the same thing as XPAAJ did, the CF8 upgrade almost completely mask XJAAP. (I got it by the judgment of the CF8, starting from the CF7 app service application service, and then restart the CF8 - I don't want to run like that for a long time).
I can possibly get into LiveCycle, but for now, no one knows something like XPAAJ that can load the data directly into a pdf file or a file Form Data Format (FDF)?
    Thanks Scott

If by 'data' PDF mean you XMP metadata, so yes: CF8 comes with a version of the iText Java library that includes classes for reading and writing XMP in PDF format. Tag of CFPDF, CF8 uses iText under the hood, but does not yet use all of its features via CFPDF, you can simply call the Java classes directly in order to access iText XMP features.

Reading and writing XMP examples are given here:
    http://www.Adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/Forum/MessageView.cfm?forumid=1&CATID=7&ThreadId=13 28338

Check the pdfUtils of Ray Camden CFC on riaForge: it contains a new method of readXMP(). writeXMP() is coming - the code is included in the above thread in any case.

If you mean that the data of the form rather than XMP data, then iText can do too. Check the iText documentation:
    http://www.1t3xt.info/API/

Here is a small example of filling out form
    http://www.peabrane.com/2007/3/5/PDF-templates-via-Rails

and cfSearching (who really knows iText in a context of CF), there is this example, note the use of the iText fdfReader class:

  • Cannot load MOV files within PDF documents in Firefox

Tell me this has nothing to do with XP, but my problem report on the Firefox support site, you can find at the following link, https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/831712#answer-199161, gave no solution, then maybe you can suggest a. And what relates to XP because the problem does not occur in Firefox on Windows 7 or Vista, but only on XP.

I have a website that loads a PDF file in the browser. Within each PDF are links to MOV files that should open in floating windows. Unfortunately, XP when I click on these links I tells me that the file is not found. It seems clear that the cause of this is that XP is looking for the MOV files to the same directory that he downloaded the PDF. The links do not specify the directory of the MOV on the server because they are all in the same directory where the PDF file. If you change the link to include the way full on the server, starting with http://, then the url www.aslparataxis.info, then the directory where the relevant PDF file and finally the name of the MOV file, then the link works successfully. But it would be a huge job to change all these links in this way, since there are 540 of them. And their incorporation into PDF files is out of the question because he too in each PDF, allowing a very long download time. In addition, if the material on the site have been moved to another directory, all links must be redone.

Internet Explorer doesn't have this problem on XP. And Firefox doesn't have this problem in Windows 7 or Vista. Again, I know that it should have more to do with Firefox Windows, but anyone can shed some light on how I can get Firefox (or Windows?) to know that on the server for these MOV files, it should look like?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

If the problem appears only in firefox, then you work with Mozilla on this.

    Support for Mozilla Firefox

You can try to perform a clean boot and check for the issue. A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

If your problem is resolved after the clean boot, and then follow the steps mentioned in the article above to refine the exact source.

After resolve you your problem, you can follow the steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    Hope this information is useful.

How to combine more than 12 files in a single PDF file? That's why I've upgraded to Adobe Pro XI.

    Hi Marshall32,

If you have Acrobat Pro, you can combine more than 12 files by choosing File > create > combine files into a single PDF file. 12 file limit is only imposed by the online Adobe PDF Pack service. Acrobat itself isn't such a limit.

(If you haven't already done so, you can download Acrobat here: https://cloud.acrobat.com/acrobat.)
