UPS for h8 - 1540t

I have a desktop H8 - 1540t and to install a UPS System.  How many watts should I allow?  The APC BE350G is the cheapest on Amazon, and it has 200 watts. The BE550G has 330 watts and is more expensive, and there are other models with more watts and more money.  Any suggestions?

Hello

The following link shows its specifications:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03650832

It uses 460W or 600W PSU. Probably you need the same power for inverters.

Kind regards.

  • Good UPS for two machines

I have two mac pro which are used as file servers, so use the power minimum and idle most of the time. I would get a UPS that could hold them for 5-10 minutes (time for a script to execute in order to turn off the power). APC seem to have some nice models and I think that the SC620i would be a good choice but cable management appears to be serial. Can anyone recommend a good UPS for me that has a usb connection and a software for a mac to allow me to run a script to stop the machine.

  • UPS for workstation hp z 840

    Hi guys,.

We bought a new z840 and z 640 hp workstation. right now we are little confused about buying a UPS for my computer. the people where we bought the workstation suggest buying UPS apc.

they give us the option to 3 ups

    1. APC 1500-980 watts
    2. APC 1300 - 2000 watt
    3. APC-1980 2200 watt

According to the product page of the hp z840 have a diet 1125 watt and z640 925 watts required Power suply. Anyone have any suggestions?. We will use two monitor for each workstation that consumes 20 watts per each (27 inch led screens). can I use the apc 2200 for two or more workstations? any help?

I would be more than enough for two workstations with monitors the APC 2200.  I use a much smaller for my computer and the monitor with no ill effects.  Just be aware that if the power goes off and no one is around to shut down computers, etc. that the INVERTER will be only last a while, then the computers need to be stopped.  Using the PowerChute Software will stop the computers in a predefined time assuming that the software is configured correctly.

  • What UPS for Alienware Aurora R4?

Anyone has any ideas on what would be the right kind of UPS for an Alienware Aurora R4? My understanding is that, to calculate the (approx.) VA required, you multiply the AMPS of POWER. The label on the back of the R4 says 7.9 amps, and voltage is 230. Allowing also to 24 "display (1.5 a) = 9,4 x 230 = 2162 going

    Spec as follows: Core i7 3930 k at 3.9 GHz, 16 GB Ram, 1 x 660 GTX (1.5 GB), sound card Creative, Win7 64 bit, 24 '' Dell screen.

The PC only will be not clocked at full load probably almost all the time (did ever?), so I was watching an of these: http://www.criticalpowersupplies.co.uk/idialog-ups-1600va-idg-1600

When UPS cuts inside is not necessary to maintain the PC while 5 minutes long, would probably be plenty. Long enough to turn electricity back and resume normal operations or if the electricity is back, no time to turn off the PC.

Is this any way to measure the amount of energy of the PC is usually to help. I don't know what the R4 feeding efficiency index, but it is 875 watts.

Someone else with a R4 has experience of this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Sphinxy,

Alienware Aurora R4 system are delivered with 875 Watt Multi-GPU approved Power Supply. Therefore, you can use any UPS between 1200VA to 2000VA depending on usage. The UPS you provide can be used.

There is no way to measure the power of the computer as sent with this computer power is at maximum power.

  • Get a UPS for a 51 x: Pure or simulated sine wave?

Long story short, the x 51 is my first office. I got in early 2013 (probably R1?) and have been very happy with it. A few months ago a power failure has occurred, and after that (and despite a surge protector) it became obvious that my graphics card was damaged and had to be replaced. A week ago I went to a friend and she had a UPS for his computer. I had not experienced anything as it existed and I'd like to get one since the power here is not reliable in the past months.

I've done the research, but my big question is: do x 51 computers require pure sine wave or would be mine to agree with simulated type? I continue to see Active PFC mentioned in critical UPS but I don't know if it's important or not for my machine. Someone said that the technology after that 2007 has and requires a pure sinusoid to work properly, that is why I fear that my computer needs it. I'm already trying to keep UPS devices which are more than 400 Watts, according to the recommendations I've seen on this site.

Any help would be great. Thank you!

I used a simulated sine wave (gradin sinewave) on my X 51 for years now (RS600 APC) - it works perfectly well despite numerous power cuts we have here (im in India). I'm using only a pure sine wave inverter (APC SmarUps 750) for my Entertainment Center (TV lcd, audio/video receiver, bluray, etc.).

Power supply for PC/Ada can handle simulated sinewave of sources very well. It is only the components of analog high-fidelity that actually benefit from a sinewave pure Ups imoh.

You just set up the new TC and plug the old TC... copy the sparsebundle existing old TC to the new... but we do not recommend to do this.

It's much better to start a new backup TM on the new TC and keep the old one for several months until you have a fair story and if you need never old file the chances you decreases considerably with time.

  • Help determine the correct UPS for my office

I have a hp media center pc m8120n and I want to get a UPS size correctly for this. Operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit), memory is / 3GB. It has a DVD/CD burner and two 300 hard disks of BG. The display is a H - P w2207, 22 "LCD.

FYI, the screen shoots 65 watts, the computer has a 300 Watt power supply, and the label at the back of the Cabinet says 8 amps. So the question is, how do you determine the correct (I would like to be able to operate on battery power for at least 10 minutes) the capability of the inverter.

I suggest a 750va for your application unit. You can also run the APC UPS Selector and see what he suggests.

  • Can I have 2 completely different set ups for FF (different users - visually impaired)

I've been using FF for several years and love the way I can make the text larger and the size of fonts on the toolbars, among other things. My wife, however, is very limited vision and has been using IE and she can't do it all and she had other problems of IE. I just installed Chrome to check it out and it doesn't seem to be a way to do this either (so much Chrome). There are the 'high contrast' themes, but they didn't do enough, are the wrong colors or cause a lot of problems with some pages. Is there a way I can use 2 completely separate FF, with different toolbars versions, screen fonts, colors for toolbars, sizes of fonts, a way to have 2 completely separate lists of bookmarks and preferences, etc. ? As the computer is shared, it should be able to switch between users and configurations. The ability to configure FF you like is really so far in front of other browsers.

You can create another folder of Firefox profile for your wife if you both use the same Windows account.

    See also:

You can add - no.-distance to the command line to open another instance of Firefox with its own profile and run multiple instances of Firefox at the same time.

Note that you can not open external links (i.e., click on a link to open the browser by default) in a Firefox instance that is started with the - non-commutateur command line to distance.

You can watch this extension to adjust the font size for the user interface.

You can use the NoSquint extension to define the size of the font (zoom text/page) and the color of the text on web pages.

  • I need allow the pop - ups for an upcoming webinar, he says that Firefox blocking them how fix this?

This is from a visualwebcaster.com, and my security settings are not on pop-ups

You can "afford" a site under

    Tools > Options > content

using the first Exceptions button on the right.

But pop - up can also be blocked by some toolbars as a bonus feature. You can check out their options. In particular, I would check bars such as McAfee security software.

Even if a toolbar is not normally displayed on a full-time basis, he could still be active. You can use view > toolbars to view and check its features.

Phoenix Contact has 24 VDC UPS.  They alarm contacts to give warnings when it goes on the backup battery.  You can use a digital input of your system to read the State of alarm contacts and use it to stop your program and system.
