• FLV not found

  I created a site using flash and action script, the site load diferent swf files with images and the content of the text. One of my swf files contains a component of the SWF player that links to an FLV file. When I test the files locally everything works fine. I uploaded the files to a server, and when it's time to play the FLV file it does not load. Using the activity in the safari window, I see that the FLV file is not found. I checked the server and tried simplyfing the name, the FLV file is in place on the server. any reason why it my swf don't find him when he's actually there?

  This is usually caused by 1 of 2 reasons:

  1. the server does not have the FLV MIME-TYPE establishment. Type Mime FLV Google and you will find what you need.

  2. you clicked the Browse button in the settings tab for the component FLVPlayback and created Flash an absolute URL that leads to your local hard drive. If this is the case, you must change the path to a relative (or absolute to the location on the server) path.

  My employer has some "Professional Development System" - LV licenses.

  I use one of them and I think it was called "No simultaneous" I understand I have LV installed on 3 different computers (home, work and cell phones, for example) but have only one active at a time.

  Issues related to the:

  1. the employer use Win7, I use Mac OS at home. The licens include LabVIEW no matter what operating system or is - this specific operating system?

  2. the employer uses a license server that I can not connect to the House. Is it safe to install LV at home by using the serial number connected to me?

  I don't know what are the exact rules for the different operating systems, so I'll defer on this issue.

  Regarding the home license, you can get your administrator make you a home license file.  Simply provide your ID of the computer that is located in the License Manager EITHER.  You can simply install this license file and you are good to go as long that the administrator gives you (usually somehow related to network license renewal).
