Use of AutoCad

I have a Pavilion dv7 - 4053cl, using Win7, 4 GB of ram.  Can I do something, such as a change or upgrade the video card, to allow this computer to be managed AutoCad2011?  He hesitates a few seconds on the more basic commands as the draw a line.  I use Windows 64-bit and 64 - bit AutoCad.

Yes, laptops can not be upgraded to a desk type graphics card, all graphics laptop are now on the motherboard and cannot be changed.

  • Vista Business 64-Bit with AutoCAD 2009 does not seem to use all 8 GB of RAM available.

A workstation newly built (S5000XVN Intel / Xeon / 8 GB RAM / 2 GB RAM video) with Windows Vista Business 64-bit is used with AutoCAD 2009 (64-bit).  The workstation hangs under stress, apparently because not enough RAM is available.  ("Stress" is "Turning entirely made of a certain complexity 3D drawings")

The Task Manager / Performance tab indicates never to use RAM above about 3.25 GB, even if ten or more concurrent applications are loaded, including IE 8 (6 graphically heavy windows) and AutoCAD with 6 or more complex drawings open at the same time.

There are two issues, I think:
    1. in the event that a busy workstation indicate use RAM above the 32-old bit of 3.2 GB limit?
2 are there MS Windows Vista settings that are necessary to ensure the use of RAM available?

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the reply.

I studied the installation of AutoCAD 2009.  It's actually the 64-bit version that is installed, and the Task Manager reports it as a 64-bit application when it runs.  (In other words, it is not marked as a 32 bit application.)

I must admit that I no longer believe that the machine is running out of resources or do not use all the resources available to it.  We tested the machine by throwing 18 complex, fully rendering the 3D drawings within the Academy, in addition to two cases of IE 8, three instances of Explorer Windows and MS Windows Mail.  Use of the RAM did climb, reaching finally the 4.06 GB, clearly indicating that the 32-bit 3.2 GB limit has been exceeded.  It seems that just drawings don't take up that much RAM.  BTW, there was no increase in the paging activity that I could see.

However, the application does not seem to be frozen or looping when the client attempted to turn one of the drawings.  The CPU on the two wires (Xeon processor) usage increased to 55% and remained there. the State of the process, as reported by the task manager went to "Not responding" and stayed there; and the display of the image froze on an empty workspace, with a three seconds flash drawing on every 20 seconds.

So: It now seems that there is a problem with AutoCAD, not a Vista problem.  I would appreciate comments, however, if you think that this analysis is wrong, incomplete or based on wrong assumptions.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Portege R700 - Autocad 2011 does not recognize the graphics card

    Hello

I have toshiba Portege R700 with 64-bit win 7 installed.
I need the computer for use with autocad 2011.

For some reason any auocad does not recognize the graphics card installed on the computer.
I suspect it because very little memory is allocated for the graphics card.

How can I change with the memory allocated for the graphics card, or perhaps, can someone show me where can I find a driver that supports autocad.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

What Portege R700-xxx you have exactly?
As far as I know the graphics memory cannot be assigned manually.
Everything is controlled by the graphics driver and you have no influence on this

You can try updating the graphics card driver maybe it would help.
The most recent driver found on the page of the European driver Toshiba
If not, you should check the manufacturer of the graphics chip driver

    Good luck

  • How to install AutoCAD 2007 on Windows 7?

I recently bought a new system to upgrade to 64-bit with Windows 7 (home edition).  I would like to install an AutoCAD program on the new computer. Preference of AutoCAD 2007 ((j'ai les versions R14 et 2007))

I do not own or operate a business, and my use of AutoCAD does not generate income, so it is not profitable to run out and buy a new copy of AutoCAD, whenever it is updated (GETS expensive).  Running out and purchase Autodesk - AutoCAD 2010 is therefore not an option.

So what can I do to circulate and operate one of these two versions of AutoCAD on this new system?  ((I really need to do market.)) < pulls="" hair=""> > I thought conversion on Windows 7 XP would be GREAT... but NOW I'm starting to regret!

    Hello phnx428,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

    The site of AutoCad:
    Both 32-bit and 64-bit AutoCAD® and AutoCAD LT® 2010 2010 are compatible and supported on Microsoft Windows® 7.

Autodesk does not officially support the versions of AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT 2009 and older on Windows 7. If you choose to run older versions of AutoCAD on the Windows 7 operating system, you can opt to use the Windows compatibility mode.

I would try to install in Compatibility Mode for XP or Vista. If you have an older application for Windows XP or Vista, which does not work in Windows 7, you can make it work properly by running the program in compatibility mode.

    1. to start, find the application or the shortcut which is the cause of the problem, and then right-click on it and select Properties.
    2. then, select compatibility in the menu tabs at the top of the properties page:
    3. now check the box run this program in compatibility mode "dethrone" and select the operating system you want to emulate. For most applications, this will be Windows XP SP2. Once you are finished, click OK.
    4. When you then run the application, it must run under compatibility using the OS mode you have selected. If it runs properly, try another selection of OS in step 3, and then try again.

I hope that this will help solve your problem. If this isn't the case, you will need to communicate with AutoCad to see if there is no work around.

    Sincerely,

  • DesignJet 800 42 ": Windows 10 and DesignJet 800

Did anyone had success with the DesignJet 800 on Windows 10.  For some reason, HP seems to have abandoned this plotter and have no specific drivers for Windows 7.  In view of the other older conspirators such as the 70 and 500 are both supported on Windows 10, I find this very disappointing.

Even with enabled bitmap printing, some systems have had problems printing to the DJ 800 on Windows 10 using the current DJ 800 driver at the time of the upgrade.  Even though the printer was present and its properties can be opened as usual, the pilot was rejected by trying to use in AutoCAD.

In these cases, the printer have to be removed, sometimes forcibly through the registry, then reinstalled before it would work.  In others, DJ 800 driver failed altogether and the DJ 500 driver to be used, which was not always easy.  When the printer is shared from a server, the driver must sometimes be installed locally, then the installed shared printer and finally the local printer removed in order to leave the shared printer works.

I've improved the DJ 800 RAM 192 MB, and it meant that bitmap printing can be disabled.

  • How to open dwg attachments in mail on a mac

I have a problem with the opening of any type of attachments in e-mail messages from the PC. I downloaded several programs, for example, dwg, jpeg, winmail.dat, but they can only open the text no attachments. I use the El capitan.

The ".dwg" extension is used for AutoCAD drawing files.

If you need to view only, try the eDrawings Viewer.  If you need to edit DWG files and are looking for a budget option, you can try the free version of DraftSight.

  • Symbols of the forest

I use the trial version of Ultiboard 10.1 Pro with permissions to export Gerber files for insurance before buying the product. I think I'm already sold on the package that I am also an owner of LabView and big fan.

The idea of exporting the drill symbol Table is a great idea, but in Gerber format it is kind of useless for me. I really need the table of symbols in DXF format. Can I export all the layers very well - it works great!
I can't see to get Table Drill symbols in DXF format.

My policy on the companys on the AutoCAD drawing drill formats requires the drill symbol table & plot Board and each layer for inspection of PCB incomming.

I hope that this issue will be addressed in a future release. At the moment, I have no way to meet the requirement for the drill symbol table in a format that I can use in AutoCAD.

    Or I'm just something wrong?

    Thank you
    Gary

    GaryAtAMI,

Yes, sorry for the confusion on feature requests, please let me explain:

When a feature is requested by the staff, it is not a guarantee that it will get into the product.   We have a lot of applications pending which do not get addressed in the product for various reasons and other factors.   Some of the reasons include that other higher priority requests get scheduled before these features (due to the frequency or severity of other applications - or other strategic initiatives) and/or other technical capabilities that could be hard to do within a single.  Some of them must be divided into several phases of the product then be implemented.

For this feature, although this has been asked several times, I can certainly tell you that right now, we have no immediate plans to include this - because of competing priorities within the R & D.   We are starting to work on some of the underlying import / export capabilities Ultiboard, but right now I can't give you an exact date when this feature is applied.

As a community, please continue to comment on how you feel on the priority level of this feature as we continually reassess these requests.

OK, that being said, I have a possible work around.    However, it is not ideal, here is a solution of possible manual workaround that I used on several other designs to include the table of symbols in DXF.   Please let me know if this is feasible for you or not.

    1. you generate a table of symbols automatically .gbr file. (File-> Export...-> select Gerber RS - 274 X-> properties)

    1. navigate to the bottom of layers available and select "Drill symbol" and press the right arrow button (->) and press 'Ok '.

    1. press the button 'Export' with the type of Gerber RS-274 X selected.

[At this point, you can use a third-party tool 3 to convert him Gerber to DXF format (last time I checked there are tools in the ~ $100 range)]

    To generate DXF manually Ultiboard

    2. open the .gbr just created...  He will be in the format "ProjectName (FileName) - drill symbols-copper copper-Top Bottom.gbr.

    3. copy the screen (depending on the size of PCB, you may need to copy multiple parts) in Microsoft Paint (I usually 2 copies of painting open)

4 invert the colors so that the background is black and Council information is white.   Save this file with a black and white. BMP file (the background should now be black).

    5. in Ultiboard, within the same project, open a new design (you can copy the layer outline of the Board of Directors of the old design to scale BMP import properly)

    6. click on the mechanical layer (mechanics 1 or 2 mechanics) and choose the location-> chart-> photo... and choose the BMP black and white has created.

7 draw a rectangular box to import BMP in the mechanical layer (you need to resize according to scale).

[At this point, you can add some dimensional information for the Board of Directors]

    8. now given that the table and the jury is out on a physical layer of Ultiboard, you can export the mechanical layer in DXF format (file-> export-> DXF [choose Properties - 1 mechanics and Export DXF])

OK, I didn't say it would be simple - and yes I do agree that an automated way would be better.   I zipped BMP and JPG images sample to show the imaged steps...

    Kind regards

  • If I replace my processor of pentium from Intel with an Intel i5 the rest of my system will be compatible?

My laptop is the HP sleekbook, 15-b011nr version.  I bought it new with no previous owners. I love it, it's the perfect computer for me. According to me, there is no laptop better than what costs $198. I want to make a laptop faster so I can use it for the basic as well as the responsibilities of the school play. I don't think this thing is slow, but I know it's possible to make it faster. I know how to use extremely good computers, but don't know anything about their operation inside.

    The games that I use it for;

Program space kerbal (a NASA Simulator. This is the game that most need improved CPU)

    Arma2 (a combat simulator)

    World of tanks (tank Simulator)

    The school programs that I use;

    AutoCAD (3 versions)

Microsoft Office (including powerpoint, word, exel...)

    General things that I want to go faster;

    Can you help me?

    Here is your Service Manual:

    Manual

First thing. The CPU is soldered to the motherboard so it won't be an upgrade of processor that is reasonably possible. Second, this thing is a bear to remove. Replace the memory module is on pages 69 and 70 of the manual, and there basically remove the motherboard to replace the memory. The hard drive is much easier. It culminates with 8 GB of RAM. You have an open slot so if you can get in there all you need to do is add a 4 GB of DDDR3 module - 1600 SO - DIMM. Works at 1333 mhz, it can use the speed of 1600. Make sure you do not try to mix memory 1.5 volts and 1.35 volts, and it would be better to go there, see what you have and buy another identical module. You have a very slow hard drive 5400 RPM and it would make the difference in the world if you install an SSD. He would fix most of the issues that you're not happy any other game, for which he will not do anything.

If you purchased from or registered your adobe acrobat, go to your account to find the correct version - Adobe ID.

Make sure that you use the adobe id when you purchased/registered.

If you have purchased form someone else, check with the seller to find out what you have purchased.

  • How wink on objects?

    Hi guys,.

I don't know if this is a bug ID CS4 or sometimes I mix the ideas of change to work with Illustrator and InDesign, but wink on objects or objects the edges to be more precise, the rectangles in this case does not work good for me. I don't know if the snap is the word just for InDesign in English is the one I use in AutoCad. I Zoom in closely and even it is not perfect. If I turn on the guides, it will jump on the grid even if disabled (Snap to Grid). This is a sample.

If it's your program, then it seems to be a common problem - http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/tag/0xc000007b/tg-p/tag-id/25168/category-id/3001

There are some suggestions in some of these messages about the esp ' MSVCR100. DLL' replacement. I would advise not to download "all-out" on the internet, but there are alternative methods which means certain positions, and there are a few other possible corrections suggested.

I have not tried one of these, just found by a search. I don't have the program or the problem, and it assumes that the link is on the same program that you are referring to.

It will be useful. (at least until the other suggestions come in).
