Use of Oracle insalled components?

Hello

views of options of $ dba_registry and v are there to find the components installed in the database, but at the moment I'm not able to find their use in the database. I forgot this point of view by which you find that by example space is used or not, or other components, etc. I have not unchecked space when creating the database. Also, I saw by chance in the doc that it costs extra to use space, isn't it?

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

    Hi friends,

    I need to invoke a web service using PLSQL - oracle 11 g.

    This time, for a COP, I need to get the same entries in the XML response.

    could you please help me.

    In this case you certainly many firewalls between the VLANS and subnets and a Web proxy.

    If the web service must be reached via proxy, use the proxy feature of UTL_HTTP.

    With regard to the tests from a browser. You can test the web service via a browser by asking its definition. Just add the text ? WSDL the Web service endpoint URL (that you had initially).

    It is not really feasible to call web service with an envelope using only a browser. In this case, consider a tool such as SoapUI (the Open Source version / free)- because it lets you test web services easily.

    SoapUI and the proxy details are also given in that I talked to you on the display with the example code.

    Newer versions of oracle have implemented a great new technology to help solve problems, called "error messages."  Unfortunately, I can't find any reference to an error message named 'is no longer able to connect.

    And why you are moving your site from inventory?  When you have installed oracle, he put the inventory where he wanted.  There is no reason to try to change or replace.

  • Application is not able to connect using the Oracle SCAN chain

    Dear Oracle gurus

    We have 11g r2 11.2.0.3.0 2 cluster nodes

    We have configured the scanning using scan-vip single using/etc/hosts file resolution

    Our app to work correctly using the string of double local Vip (10g method)

    Scan works very well in the database server when we check using sqlplus

    Works very well in the database server Oracle SCAN

    Sqlplus DB - 1 test bench / testbed@my-db-scan:1521 / orcl

    When we use it below URL JDBC in Tomcat Version-6 then "doesn't allow not to connect even if there will connect a while but connectivity isn't stable when we reboot the tomcat"

    Hibernate.Connection.URL=jdbc:Oracle:Thin:@My-DB-Scan:1521/ORCL

    Application is not able to connect using the Oracle SCAN chain

  • SSL mutual authentication using the Oracle stored procedure

    Hello

    DB version:
    Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64 bit Production

    Is possible to perform mutual authentication SSL uses the Oracle stored procedure?
    I read articles and forums saying that it is not a good approach to call the Web service using the Oracle procedure (and I don't know if it's even possible authentication using procs). But I would like to know if it's possible and how.

    In other is words there a way to incorporate the client certificate information into a procedure that calls a Web service.

    I read the articles to do it in JAVA or .net. But please advice how we can achieve using Oracle procedures.

    Thank you.

    To learn more. SSL what for?

    Oracle PL/SQL only supports client standard TCP sockets. However, interface for HTTP, Oracle PL/SQL also supports HTTPS - which requires the certificates of authentication of the server to be stored in a portfolio of Oracle web and used during the transmission via HTTPS. See the code example {message identifier: = 1925297} for more details.

    Forums and articles written by idiots. For idiots.

    And no, I'm not to embellish my response to this pitch that you met. It is false. It is written by ignorant people who don't know ANYTHING about the use of Oracle and PL/SQL. And feel free to forward my response to these idiots. They find me here if they want to argue...

    As an example of how to call a web service, see {message identifier: = 10158148} and {message: id = 10448611}.

  • Creation of data Mart: OWB, SSIS or the use of Oracle?

    I'm working on creating a data mart as a new application for my work. I am a developer pl/sql, but I have no experience in DW. I am looking at what technology to implement this. Each instance of the project for which I work is quite complicated to deploy. Therefore, the easiest way.

    Could someone advise me on the use of Oracle Warehouse Builder? be useful to use it to create a simple data mart?

    Could I have all of the features needed in a mini - data warehouse by simply using jobs of oracle for the planning of the ETL process created in pl/sql (bulk collect) without using another tool? Is this possible? We do not want to use SSIS.

    The DB is 10g EE R10.2.0.1.0, but we could move to 11g as needed

    Help with that I will be grateful.
    Concerning

    You can surely OWB to create simple to complex datamarts or Data Warehouse of company.

  • Impossible to compile the Java Code using the Oracle API

    Hi all

    I use the following code for use in Oracle 11 g. What pots of IOM should I include to get this to compile? I seem to have all the necessary jars, except the one that contains Thor.API.Operations... If someone could point me in the right direction for this, I would be very grateful.

    package AdTest;

    Thor.API import. *;
    Import Java.util;

    public class {AdTest

    public void AddProcessChildData (long pKey) {}
    try {}

    tcResultSet childFormDef = (f.getProcessFormDefinitionKey (pKey), f.getProcessFormVersion (pKey)) f.getChildFormDefinition;

    childKey long = childFormDef.getLongValue ("Structure Utility.Child Tables.Child Key"); If there is only 1 child for the form table parent on the other you have to iterate over the result set

    Map attrChildData = new HashMap();
    String NUGroupe = "someValue";

    attrChildData.put ("UD_ADUSRC_GROUPNAME", NUGroupe);

    f.addProcessFormChildData (childKey, pKey, attrChildData);

    I guess you're hurting understand the definition of Client instant, there isn't a tool or application or tool GUI as a sql developer or another that you can start using. It's just client installed with the minimum characteristics
    If you want to use the right application tool install sql developer in your instant client or simply running sqlplus

  • Send an e-mail using the Oracle database

    Hello!
    I installed Oracle 10 g (10.2.0.4) and I need to send an email using this database. In some notes said to run the following script, but in my case Oracle I don't have the owner "MailSender" or the AptMail function.

    Start
    dbms_output.put_line (mailsender. AptMail ('p_from', 'p_to', null, null, 'p_subject', null, 'p_smtp_host', null, null, null));
    END;

    Can someone explain if it is the right method to send an email using the Oracle database? If so how can I install it?

    Thank you

    Oracle 10.2 comes with UTL_MAIL package.

    Give it a read through the documentation. It's pretty simple to use.

  • When to use WebADI Oracle and Oracle HRMS API?

    Hello

    I'm a little confused?

    When to use Oracle WebADI?
    When to use DataPump?
    When to use the Oracle API?

    What is the difference between WebADI and in terms of functionality of the API?

    Thank you

    For example, "migrate data from employee work.

    Indeed a technical expert may use WebADI is not quite black and white - just a guideline I recommend. Here are the reasons why I recommend the direct use of APIs more WebADI:

    (1) WebADI does not have any competition. If you are a considerable migration and want to ensure multiple-CPU server, I would use a simultaneous multithreaded program to load data from the staging tables employee in HRMS Oracle by the PL/SQL API. A strong migration may take 72 consecutive hours to load - multi-threading, which would significantly reduce.
    (2) WebADI is fickle and unreliable when you speak many lines. So often the bomb out and you will have to start the loading process. An Automated charger is reliable.
    (3) WebADI has no decent error handling. If a line fails the lot fails. An Automated charger can handle elegantly errors (and there will be errors) without affecting the overall load.
    (4) WebADI is manually intensive. Of course, it does a great job to make life easier. But you must still download unprotect, insert rows, lose its time to copy and paste, upload etc. You are dependent on people doing this at the right time and she of all right. If you load in multiple environments (and you're usually), it's a heaviness. Automated loading is fully automated, reliable, can be planned and can be repeated.
    (5) other reasons. For example, WebADI does not support CLOB, BLOB large amounts of text and all kinds of other things.

    I might consider using WebADI to migrate data from employee work if it was a small client with only a few hundred employees and migration data was not the critical moment.

    My question is very simple. -(uniquement pour les autonomes de base de données dans 10g)

    For my / any stand-alone basic in 10g, when oracle will use ASM_HOME?

    If used, it should show some files (once ASM instance is created/started).

    YES also not inviting to enter ASM_HOME.

    Direct response - ASM is instance only - no database file (only memory is allocated) not control files and database files

    When you want to place your database in disk-groups - based on usage of redundancy and volume - management provided by ASM

    Update:

    ASM is striping and mirroring to ensure safe and balanced storage

    Doc Oracle provides

    The ASM instance

    ASM is implemented as a special type of Oracle instance with its own system Global Area (SGA) process and the background. The ASM instance typically has an LMS that is much smaller than a database instance.

  • ADF 12 c - create and consume WebService using SOAP and business components

    Hi all!

    I am trying to create two separate projects. One who creates Web services using the components of the company and another to consume these services.

    For now, I created the basic operations of VO (search, update, Get,...) and even a find with use of criteria.

    I can easily use the Get functions (by id), nor on the criteria to get a customer by one of his name.

    The problem is that I need a function to retrieve all customers (without any criteria) in a table, and then modify the selected customer, perhaps with the update function. I tried this but, there is no collection on the data control to do so.

    On the last days, in that I wanted a resolution to my problem but the tutorials I've seen, none seems to be exactly what I need. At least none that I could clearly understand it is being implemented.

    Can someone give me a hint or two on how to make this implementation using BC/SOAP?

    Off-topic question: is there an advantage over the use of SOAP on REST, since the REST seems to be faster due to the possibility of using JSON?

    Thank you!

    You can create the custom method in your AppModuleImpl class that presents the signature.

    Something like:

    public List getAllRecords(){
        List result = new ArrayList<>();

        ViewObject vo = getYourVO();
        vo.executeQuery();
        while(vo.hasNext()){
            ViewRowImpl row = (ViewRowImpl)vo.next();
            result.add(row);
        }

        return result;
    }

    And in the AM editor expose this method as part of your web service.

    Then in the other project to create this ws-based Web Service data control, call the getAllRecords() method (as method activity in some task flow, or drop it on the page as a button) and in the end, expand getAllRecords() day in data controls pane and drag and drop 'result' to your af:table page
