Used to install Dreamweaver extensions

I have the latest version of the Manager of extensions and Dreamweaver.   I'm trying to get some extensions to install but it will not.  They say "this extension cannot be installed, it requires dreamweaver 12.0 or higher.  And I have the latest version.  any help. I had installed first the Manager extensions and dreamweaver.  If that matters.

Effective in 2015 CC, Adobe killed their EM.  You now need to use 3rd-party EMs or install extensions of the page modules to Adobe.

This EM works for me on CC 2015.

Try reinstalling the Ext Manager. And make sure that you use the

  • How to install the Dreamweaver extension in 2014 Sellerdeck

I am installing a Dreamweaver Extension in 2014 Sellerdeck. I went through the 'normal' process to download the extensions Manager and I have installed mxp and zxp fiels. I told myself I need a version of Dreamweaver later then CS6 but I bought just CC2014.1.

    Geoff ([email protected])

Thank you for using CC and not CS6 extensions Manager. This should solve your problem. But please be aware that the extensions Manager will be only unzip the ZXP files. MXP is now obsolete.

  • Dreamweaver extensions will not install

After only a few recent updates for the applications Adobe CC, my application Dreamweaver (as described in installing some extensions should be reinstalled), in particular the Extension Manager CC, will not reinstall my extensions.  And these are needed because they are my menu extensions - I can not change, add, etc. without them.  I get an error message of the extensions manager that Dreamweaver 6 or higher is necessary for this extension.  I checked, this version of Dreamweaver is 15.  So, what gives?

I tried to pass by and deleting preferences, same found Extension Manager installed yet - C6 removed that too.  I need some advice on what to do.

    Thank you.

I'm sorry this new topic, I posted this problem in another topic because I didn't know how to start a new topic.  Well, currently the pencil icon above to start a new discussion.

Updates in this topic that I had uninstalled and reinstalled the extensions (7.3.2.39) Manager and still get this error:

    Screenshot 2014-10-14 10.05.51.jpg

As I said in other post, the current CC of Dreamweaver is version 15.  The photo above was taken only after uninstall/reinstall another handler extensions 7.3.2.39.

Head - scratching and cannot afford to lose more hair!

    Thanks for reading - Tom

Just checked, have Dreamweaver installed 20141 CC.  I uninstall and reinstall and try again.

As the image below shows, none of my Dreamweaver extensions are available for the new CC extensions Manager.

    Someone knows what to do?

You can download the CS6 version from http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/em6_download.html . Convert MXP ZXP, to only Extension Manager CS6. You don't have to install other applications CS6.

Here's what I've done so far:

    • read a lot of forum posts... =)
    • contacted support (twitter and in chat) to figure out what to do
    • downloaded adobe application Manager (installation failed with the error message appears, that I am not connected to the internet)
    • dreamweaver online and offline facility did not work, after the serial a message appeared who told me "to connect to internet to sign-in" - once again, the connection was good and functional
    • Downloaded CCleaner to get rid of all the files of adobes that could interrupt the installation
    • has a verified file such that recommended by the assumption (looking all interupting or corupt files that could be the source of the problem)

So far, I wasn't able to install dreamweaver cs6, nor had the support.

Does anyone have an idea what to do?

    Thanks guys...

    Hi Benjaming13557969,

'Download Support Advisor' is a generic error, and we need to understand what is causing the problem. Most of the time, its a problem with the download was not successful or downloaded correctly. So, in this case, re-download the software and do not forget to compare the file size of the file downloaded with the file on the server.  Download Creative Suite 6 applications

Allows you to check in this case as well and make sure that the download is complete, if the size of the file is correct, to the install.log file.

Navigate in the log files in one of the following folder:

    Mac OS: / Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers /.

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\Installers\

The name of the log file includes the name of the product and installation date, followed of ".". log.gz."the .gz extension indicates a compressed format.

You can use any file unpack tool to extract the 7z or gz file:

Once unzipped, the log file is a text file, open the .log using TextEdit (Mac OS) and notebook (OS Win)

Scroll to the bottom of the log. Look in the section - summary - for lines that begin with ERROR or FATAL and signals a failure during the installation process.

Copy and paste this section SUMMARIZED here so that we can check for errors. Alternatively, you can analyze the logs yourself. http://helpx.Adobe.com/Creative-Suite/KB/troubleshoot-install-logs-CS5-CS5.html

Let us know if that helps.

  • After creative cloud update, all Dreamweaver extensions gone/don't not be reinstalled

After update Creative Cloud (7 June 2015) last night, I found that all my Dreamweaver extensions are now absent from the Dreamweaver menu bar. When I try to reinstall no matter what extension (Cartweaver, PVII and other extensions) I get a dialog box in the extensions Manager CC saying "impossible to install this extension, it requires Dreamweaver Version 9 or greater. I use Dreamweaver CC 2015.0. All of my Adobe products are up to date, and I'm a creative cloud subscribert. If I try opening creative cloud, all I get is a blank window which will spread to the House, Apps, and other items at the top. Rebooting the computer did nothing to solve this problem.

I run on a Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.4 running.

I am at a complete loss as to what to do and an inability to work until this is resolved.

    Thank you

    David

It's true.  There was a lot of buzz, in this topic in the forums lately.

    See the related links below.

    Bye, Bye the extension manager?

Extensions in DW CC 2015? no more.

The area of Get DMX extensions Manager (it's free) and it seems to work with several extensions of 3rd party (PVII, WebAssist...).

    http://www.DMXzone.com/go/22670/DMXzone-extension-manager-for-Dreamweaver

However other problems persist.  So, your best avenue is to revert to the previous version of DW CC.  If you don't remove it during the installation of 2015, you still have it on your system.  If remove you the installation (by default), you need to reinstall the creative cloud 2014.

Or obtain the release of June 2014 DW direct links below

I hit on my end to try to get the Chrome Safari. I am trying to install some extensions for Safari adblock, ghostery, trafficlight and lastpass.

None of them install. I get an error message "Safari cannot install this extension."

    I tried:

    Turning off FileVault

Keychain node deletion (it was not)

Restart in safe mode and try to install

After safe mode reboot and try to install

Tried to install directly from developer without going through the extensions Gallery

    Using Safari/Safari Extensions to install?

If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your account and see if they will be there install.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  • I am trying to install an extension that requires FF 4.0. I downloaded 4.0 yet the extentsion says I still 3.6.16 when you try to install.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled FF several times. When I try to install the extension (which requires FF 4.0), I get a pop up that says I'm still using an older version of FF and asks me if I want to upgrade. When I click on "About Firefox", it says that I have 4.0. In February, I downloaded Beta FF I understand, could be a problem. I also read that you must manually remove the beta files that I made. I did a search of system to see if all the Beta files exist and none were found. I want to just make sure that FF 4.0 is installed and be able to install the extension FGS.

Sorry for the error in the link. Looks like spelling like that older that I've always had with "Web Sites" instead of "Web Sites" is more work. I've corrected it.

  • Action menu is empty; "You have not installed the extensions.

In the system preferences panel, the only options on the left are all and share Menu. Share menu 'not allowed' in gray below. Everything indicates "you have not installed the extensions.

Please read this message before doing anything.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

    Step 1

The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is localized to your user account.

Select the feedback connections* and log in as a guest. Do not use the Safari connection only 'user comments' created by 'find my Mac '.

While signed in as a guest, you will have access to your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you use them for the first time. Do not be alarmed by this behavior; It's normal. If you need any password or other personal information in order to complete the test, save, print, or write them before you start.

Test while signed in as a guest. Same problem?

After testing, log on to the guest account and in your own account, disable it if you wish. The files that you created in the guest account will be automatically deleted when you log out of it.

    * Note: If you have enabled 'find my Mac' or FileVault, then you cannot activate the guest account. The login 'User comments' created by 'Find my Mac' is not the same. Create a new account to test and delete it, including his home folder, after testing.

    Step 2

The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is caused by changes in the system of third party that load automatically at startup or logon, by a device, by a police conflict or corruption of system files or some system caches.

Please take this step regardless of the results of step 1.

Disconnect all devices wired except those required to test and remove all the expansion cards from secondary market, as appropriate. Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including an audio output and a Wi - Fi connection on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

The login screen is displayed even if you normally connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

Test in safe mode. Same problem?

After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of steps 1 and 2.
