User account deleted when I uninstalled Office 2010 Beta, how do I get it back?

Details:

  • I am using Windows XP Pro SP3
  • I had already installed MS Office 2010 Beta. When I went to use it recently, I learned the period Beta was over and I was given two options: 1) buy Office 2010 or 2) uninstall. I chose to uninstall. When I restarted the computer after uninstalling, my user account has been deleted.
  • Fortunately, I had an another user account with administrative access, but it is never/rarely used, so when I opened this account is like watching a new computer desk. I see again all my files on the C drive of the other account, but they are all read only files.
  • I restarted the computer in safe mode at a given time, with networking and could see my old user account. Now I'm trying to find a way to recover permanently.
  • Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Hello

It could be that the user account registry key is deleted which is instructed to show the user account name in the login screen. I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below.

Step 1:

I suggest to do a restore of the system on the computer and check if you are able to see the user account.

How to restore Windows XP to a previous state

Step 2:

I suggest start in the other user accounts that you have never used before and then remove the Office 2010 system by referring to the article below.

How to uninstall the suites Office 2003, Office 2007 or Office 2010 so I can't uninstall it from Control Panel?

  • Come accidentally, I did a Delete command on an entire file.  How can I get it back?

Accidentally, I got a file instead of a document selected and made a command + DELETE.  Ouch!  How can I get it back.  Not in the trash.  Uh oh.

If you just did it, use the command + z.

The file must have went into the trash. Open the Recycle Bin and right-click on it and choose put back or drag it out of the trash at the location of your choice.

  • Missing word when click right and new selected - how do I get it back?

This question was asked before sub title "Right click menu, then New, Icon. How of missing word to make it back?" published on July 23, 2012. Christophe's response suggested trying this link http://http://support.microsoft.com/kb/180257 .

I tried that link but provided one explains how to put the new command in the context menu. I already have the new command, what I want is to have Word in New.

I put an answer to Christopher on the original message, asking about it but am not sure that everyone will see it (new on this forum).

So someone can you please tell me how I can get the word in the new option when right-clicking? Also applies to the file/new in the browser.

    1. Go to the control panel
    2. Go to add/remove programs
    3. Choose the desktop in the list
    4. Click on 'Edit' or 'Repair', and he's going to repair the Office installation, including this shortcut to a new file.

  • Microphone uninstalled by mistake. How can I get it back?

While Installing Skype last week I have to somehow "fade" the microphone of my hp Pavilion laptop devices.    Need help!   I think that maybe a system restore it grow for me?   Any solution/help appreciated...

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://h30642.www3.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp59501-60000/sp59649.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

    When finished,restart the laptop.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  Left click 'Speakers and headphones' (or speakers/HP) once to highlight and then click set as default.

Restart the computer again before checking if the microphone works now correctly.

  • Uninstalled Akarmai download Mangerer, how can I get that back?

I uninstalled it accidentally when cleaning on my computer. I realized this when I tried the download/installation of Premiere Elements. When I did, it only saved its files in 7zip format, and I can't use the program.

How to get Akarmai so I can use my programs?

you have need of the akamai downloader, but if you want to install it when you download something that uses it.

regarding your 7z file, you must download the corresponding exe (which will extract the 7z and start your installation when the two files are placed in the same directory and double click on the exe file).

    Available downloadable Setup files:

Download and installation help links Adobe

Help download and installation to Prodesigntools links can be found on the most linked pages.  They are essential; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click on a link that does not have these listed steps, open a second window by using the link to Lightroom 3 to see these "important Instructions".

  • Satellite A500-1 - I uninstalled the infrared device - how do I get it back?

    Hello

I think I uninstalled the infrared device to my computer, and I don't know how installed again.
I realized as previosly I could to use the remote control to manage the windows media center, and now I can't.

First of all, I found this device on the Panel-> printers a devices--> Device Manager and I tried to download the drivers from the site Web of Toshiba (irda-20100128144012) and the new driver was not installed because the downloaded version was a version prior to my portable version.

How could I see if the infrared device is actually installed?
    How could I do?

    Thank you for your help

    Hello

Check if the infrared device is listed in Device Manager!
I'm not very well what type of tree it should be, but you should see something like irda m.
If the the irda deivce is listed, then you do not need to reinstall the driver and there should be another reason why you can not use the remote control.

    Check everything first.

PS: I recomedn to test the media remote running.
