User accounts is no longer present
There are two user accounts that no longer appear when I turn on the machine. I searched for them and they are always present on C: but I can not change user. When I go to the user accounts the icons are no longer present. How to enable these to appear again without creating a new account
Suggestions:
Go to safe mode.
Restart the computer > immediately and repeatedly by pressing the F8 key until you see a black and white screen. It's your safe mode > down and select Mode safe mode with networking.
While in safe mode with networking...
1 make sure that your computer is clean. Run a full scan.
If you want, install Malwarebytes to help you do it. It is one of the best.

Is your keypad double up with some of the letter keys? If so, you can inadvertently turning on the keypad. There is normally a "switch" by one of your Fn keys to do - find a symbol of pad on the Fn keys.
It is also possible, I suppose, but less likely, that you may have entered the passwords with the active keypad and it is now inactive. If this is the case then I would recommend changing your passwords to be what you wanted in the first place.

When I made the other day all my desktop icons went I have all the documents, pictures, etc. I though I had lost them up to what I went to c/users/selected my user account and everything is there. When you create a new user, the directory will not present until you connect for the first time this new user. The fast way so disconnect and connect under the newly created user. After that, the folder would be present.

First of all, is your account of usual user "Administrator" or "Standard user"? Go to control panel > user accounts for know.
Even if your account is an account 'Administrator', Windows 7, local administrator accounts run as a standard user except when specifically authorized to do otherwise. Is impossible to turn on the guest account. Cannot create new user account. This has proved to contain leads to a difficulty. Have to admit, when I read everything the first time, several days, I did indeed find it confusing and even the parts that I "heard" (sorta) does not appear to be related to my symptoms.
It turns out that the answer of JDMICHAL May 17, 2011 contained this:
(1) C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows open live
(2) this directory has two subdirectories with a single file of each. Go into each directory and apply the following:
(a) make a right click on the file, open the properties.
(b) click the Security tab.
(c) it will issue a message: "to continue, you must be an administrative user with permission to view this object's security properties. Would continue you? ». Click on the button continue.
(d) click on the Add button...
(e) ' everyone' type in the box at the bottom of the dialog box. Click on "check names"; It should be emphasized the "everyone". Click OK.

My iMac freezes during a turn on and between two switching user accounts
My 2011 iMac has been crashing for weeks. Usually, it freezes when I turn it on, connect to switching user accounts or user accounts.
I upgraded to Sierra yesterday and I continued using for hours and it was fine.
I turned on today; some of the Apple applications do not work... Mail, App Store, Safari (this is what I tried). Responsible mail application, saw a list of emails, but when I click on a particular message, the message will not load. Safari cannot load a Web page at all (I'm now using Chrome). AppStore cannot load anything too.
I asked for help here before the crash but I was reluctant to share the report of being. Now, I've read about it and understand how it works. The report says "failed".

10.11.6 updating killed my apps from user account
I just installed the latest updates on the App Store (10.11.6 I guess) to find when restarting the Apps on my main user account (an administrator account) no longer work. The account is running very slow and lazy, struggling to load anything and beach regular balling.
I have a second account, which is a Standard account and Apps work fine here. Since the Standard account, I created a second administrator account and the new account works fine too. Two of these other accounts running at a normal speed with no problems.

Two accounts using Apple ID on the same user account

I just bought my two children, who are 7 and 9, an iPod Touch each. I would like to implement separate Apple ID (with the sharing of the family) then we can use and iMessage, find friends - but I don't want to set up separate user accounts on the Mac Mini that we (the two user accounts would be unnecessarily complicated for them).
All the tips I found online seems to suggest two user accounts, then someone can tell me if logging in and out of the Apple ID in iTunes even work for them (as identifier Apple is much broader than iTunes just used by Mac system)?

I wasn't using the java plugin for a long time.

You must first update the Java plugin. Older versions have been blocked since Firefox due to a serious security problem, so update should help. Let me know if you still have problems (make sure that you uninstall any previous version)

Sorry for the long question. The issue is that totally impossible to install Firefox 9.0.1, so it can be used by the two user accounts on this desktop computer. I tried several times to download the update and install when running the second user account. It does not seem to install - page 'About' Watch 'Apply Update' - which then seems to do nothing. When I go to the primary account user Firefox is fully installed and functional.
If files have already been downloaded, then delete the files in the folder of updates\0 and updates or you need to run Firefox once as administrator on each account where the files for the update has been downloaded.

Cannot create a new user account
Hello and good evening,
I have a laptop HP Pavilion I've had for about a month. I was creating a HP recovery disk. As I didn't have the right amount of available disks, I cancelled it. The next time I went to do the same thing, there was a message in the HP support assistant saying that the recovery disk was no longer available. So I created an image of the system in case I ever needed to recover my OS. It was stored on drive C. I copied and pasted into the recovery d drive [I don't know if you can do].
Anyway, some things have changed after I created the image of the system. The C: disk OS folder has been renamed Windows C:.
I felt a little uncomfortable about the whole, so I thought that I create another user account. Hoping that this would also restore my HP Recovery disk.
In any case, I went to do this and all seems to be OK, install applications and so on, until he came to a blue screen that says "Please wait". He remained on the screen for about 2 hours, after which the battery was flat. I repowered it and he started upward. He returned the same screen. I took the battery and plugged a USB based recovery disk. This led me to the Welcome screen, and I could log into my original user account.
I'm not game to try again to create another user account in case something terrible happens and it does not restart.
What should I do?
1. create another user account give back me my recovery drive originalHP?
2 could have another go to make him a corruption on my hard drive?
I don't know if it's an HP or a problem of Windows 8, so I posted both.

Hi jcdck,
I see that you have some problems with your recovery disk. Create a new user account won't get your recovery disk. The same file structure will be implemented regardless of the user account. You should not generally be copy or save anything on the recovery disk.
You should be able to restore your PC to factory settings , but you need to back up personal files on an external drive or burn to a CD. It might not get your recovery back disc because this isn't the Windows function of HP.
Your only other option is to order the recovery CD for your model. If you can provide me with your product number I should be able to get your link to order. Are which country you located?

Deleting a user account will also remove installed applications?
I recently had to create a different account on my Macbook because the application does not not on the initial user account (long story but not important for this). Now that my new account is set up, I would like to delete the original account. I'm afraid that if I do it all the applications installed on the original account will also be deleted... or will they? Can anyone help with an answer to this please?
Applications must be installed in the application and not in any user account. You can check by opening the Application folder and verify that the applications are installed.
Remove a user should not affect any application.
