  I mainly shoot and video editing AVCHD from Canon C100. Typical ingest workflow is to use the import of data from Pixela. This creates individual. The MTS files on my with unique filenames (LARGE)... BUT when I put them in PP CS6 files, it defines the media start time for each clip to 00:00:00:00 (essentially erasing the reference timecode). If I simply copy all content of my raid card and then uses the media in PP browser to import images, timecode - and the media start time - is maintained growth (LARGE)... This creates a problem when restoring links images... because now I have several projects with the same file name. Any ingestion workflow recommendations?

  What Miss me?

  The context is:

  We have a process in the studio, in which we use a track with clips representing the names of shooting and their duration in the timeline.

  Later, we use this information to insert the duration of the shots to the database of our portfolio, as well as extract audio files for each shot, to insert in 3dsmax for purposes of lip-sync.

  Our current process is to export an EDL and then treat outside.

  This has some issues we want to avoid, so I want to have this process occur within a custom inside the organization tool.

  There is no API support that will allow that those clip names, today.

  You can save the FCP XML for this sequence and that parse.

• No audio with the AVCHD Clips imported in EP 11

  I have the Premiere Elements v11.0 running on a computer, Windows 8. I've updated MOUS and no more updates are available.

  The AVCHD video, I'm importing is full HD, PAL at 25 fps. The audio is 384 Kbps 6 channels with a sampling frequency of 48 kHz. I can import and edit these clips in the first elements V7.0 running on a Windows 7 PC with no problems. The project used settings are HDV 720.

  With elements V11.0, audio is not imported that I ever try the project settings. There is no error message.

  I have the latest version of Quick Time (7.7.4) installed, although QuickTime does not include the file. Windows Media Player it plays OK - video and audio. VLC media player it plays OK.

  Is this a missing codec, a bug, or another problem?

  What are the properties of your source media? What is the file extension? You say AVCHD Full HD, PAL at 25 fps. and you add the project used settings are HDV 720. Why?

  The project preset is supposed to match the properties of your source media. From what you wrote, my read on this is that you

  AVCHD video compression 1920 x 1080 16:9 @ 25 (probably interlaced) frames per second.

  If so, the project preset should be 1080i25 PAL AVCHD Full HD 5.1 channels.

  If it is 1920 x 1080 16:9 @ 25 fps progressive

  then the the project preset should be PAL DSLR DLSR 1080p25 1080 p.

  So what is the reason for defining the project preset for what you describe to the HDV 720 which I in 1280 x 720 @ 25 progressive frames per second?

  What is your audio compression... Dolby Digital 5.1 channel or AAC 5.1 channel or other?

  What camera brand model is this video with audio from a?

  How do you get the audio video from the camera for first Elements11 timeline?

  Is it only the images of this particular camera that is at issue?

• Network error mystery - Windows cannot access \\server\users when you use the netbios name, but works fine when you use the full domain name.

  Hi all:

  Mystery - I have a Win 7 work company that cannot access a particular action.  I get the following error-"you are not allowed to access \\server\users.  Contact your network administrator to request access.  However, these users can access these files successfully on other computers, and also if I use the fqdn or the IP instead of the "netbios name server", it connects successfully.

  Environment:

  -Workstation and server at the same time in the same AD Windows 2008 r2 domain.

  -All users, admin and non admin, cannot access this share when connecting to this computer only.

  -ACCESS to the other actions on the same server, as well as actions on other servers.

  -The biggest mystery to me - if I type the FQDN, \\server.domain.local\users, it works!  What the?

  I tried:

  -Deletion of the domain and add it again, no improvement.

  -Check Event Viewer, nothing jumps (not red or yellow).

  -Enabled auditing for access to objects on the server, it does not show a failure in the security event log.

  -Turn off the firewall of my computer.

  -UN-share and re - share the directory.

  -Give everyone full control (the fact that it works well with de facto authorities a little full domain name, a candidate little likely, but I have an open mind).

  For anyone wishing to offer their 'help' by asking me to make some sort of workaround as re - install windows or turn off netbios or use only of the full domain name here on out or whatever, please Don ' t bother.  I appreciate your help, but I am quite able to reinstall and I'm not interested unique hacks that affect this otherwise network well managed, I'm looking for a solution that will allow me to save time and is a long-term solution.

  I need to allow end users to designate the name of their server requested when you submit a request through VCAC.   The custom property to use to allow a user to enter name themselves is the host name (just hostname, nothing else)... That's what I put to prompt the user to our forms.

  Only two variables that Captivate allows to work with are cpQuizInfoStudentName and cpQuizInfoStudentID, but the latter is only really designed to be used for the internal information server, not a typical SCORM LMS solution.

  I have about 12 tablespoons of images recorded on several projects. Each clip has a description added to it. I'm trying to find a way to search for a specific content easier. Since so much information was laboriously on slot form of description of metadata, it would be great to be able to use it. Which brings me to the question -

  one way is to highlight all the media/bins in the project Panel and from the menu, export the batch list. This will create a .csv text file.

  There is also this option in another post, but do not know how it works. First Pro CC - how can I export metadata custom in Excel?

• Rename the source of names clip?

  In FCP7, there is a very handy feature that allows you to rename the source file to match the name of the element.

  

  This is extremely useful when you rename clips to be more appropriate/description of a project and you want to change the name of the source to match.

  Is there anyway to do something similar to the first Pro CS5.5 or you must rename each element source manually, then reconnect?

  Well... not really (but somehow). But there is a good reason why you don't want to do. Where FCP only works with QuickTime files where to rename source files to match the clip names is harmless, Premiere Pro works with a wide variety of native formats, including tapeless formats that require the naming of specific files and folders structures. If you have renamed the source file to match the clip names, formats may become unreadable by many devices and applications. Our concept is to 'do no harm '.

  However... If you want to consolidate and rename your source files to match the names of your clip (this is the part "kind of"), you can do so via the project manager (project > Project Manager).  Simply select the option 'Rename files to Match Clip names of media' when you cut your project. The reason why this option is available here, without you worry about corrupting your tapeless media structures is that Premiere Pro makes new copies of the multimedia files and puts them in a new location. In this way the original media remains intact and is not harmed. Premiere Pro can still access and open these files, since it requires structures of specific folders and naming conventions to import the files. Other applications and devices that need these structures of folders and naming conventions can always access the original source media that they were created from.

  A schema is just a collection of objects belonged to a particular user. If you do not need to create a separate schema: the schema is created automatically when you create the user.

  To connect to the database, a user must CREATE SESSION privilege. To create a table, the user has the CREATE TABLE privilege and should be given a quota on any tablespace will be created in the table. If you don't care management quota or limit the storage space that a user can create tables, you can grant the user the UNLIMITED TABLESPACE privilege. If you care the management of quota, you must run commands like

  ALTER USER <>
    QUOTA <>
    ON <>
  

  for each tablespace for the user to be able to use.

  I am relatively new to the use of Premiere Pro.  I have a video that I am preparing for use on the web.  After mounting and registered as .mp4 file, when I play it using Windows Media Player, briefly (3 seconds or more) it shows the name of the item (file name) in the upper left area of the video. How can I stop this behavior?
