Using "Image/transform/Perspective" on a layer?

  Hi all

  I'm not a pro in photoshop, but can use a computer competently. I'm actually tilt a picture in Photoshop Elements 6.0, but none of the controls under Image > transform the work. (Free transform, tilt, twist, Perspective) They are not greyed out and when I click it, the continue or Cancel will appear around my image, I click on continue (the green check mark) and nothing happens. It is the same for all four of these commands. My single layer is not locked.

  Any ideas?

  EDIT: This happens with two separate images.

  Try to use the move tool and manipulation with the angle handles. If this does not work, would reset the tool. If problem persisits, suggest that you reset the preferences.

  Are you trying to transform a smart object layer? In CS3, you cannot use the Perspective transformations or deformation on Smart Objects. You must rasterize the smart object first. Let me know if this isn't what is causing your problem.

  Uncheck the automatic selection in the move tool Options bar. That should do it.

• Photoshop Elements 9 - cannot use the brush in the adjustment layer

  I am new to Adobe Photoshop Elements and have recently purchased Elements 9. I have problems with the brush in the levels of adjustment.

  I opened a RAW image and converted to black and white to desaturate using an adjustment layer. I then try to adjust the black and white image using several levels of adjustment. I use the brush to hide parts of the image in the particular adjustment layer I don't want to change. It worked at first, but for some reason, the brush stopped working in adjustment layers. It's a soft brush the 300px value, mode is 'Normal' and the opacity is 100%. In other words, is not obliterate anything in the layer, or whatever it is appears in the thumbnail of the rightmost (these two things happened before)

  The brush works normally when you adjust an image with no level i.e. When you simply open a RAW or TIFF file and use the brush.

  I tried to uninstall the program and reinstall it, but the problem persists.

  Can anyone offer any help? It's frustrating because I can't adjust my image selectively. I do something wrong, it is a bug, or is it just a simple matter of checking a simple box somewhere in the pre-series?

  Make sure you have your brush set to black (foreground in black color)

  and that makes your painting on the layer mask (click on the layer mask

  to make it active).

  Try just paint on the mask of your adjustment layer to desaturate the photo

  with a black brush (color to come back)

  Sometimes with several adjustment layers, strokes on a layer mask can overlap

  the strokes on the other.

  If you want more control over a black and white conversion, you can try something like

  What follows.

  1. Add a hue\saturation adjustment layer and change the layer blending mode to color

  2. Add another layer of setting hue\saturation and move the saturation to-100

  3. on the first adjustment layer (the one with the color blending mode), move the hue

  and saturation for different effects, black and white cursors.

  4. If you want to add a color tint, set the hue\saturation albums layer colouring and

  I noticed there is something in AS3 that allows to "shear or inclination" of an object, but I was wondering if it is possible to do the equivalent of Photoshop refers to "transform > > perspective.

  I believe that what you're looking for is more accessible using the 10 player, in CS4 - which is to rotate a 3D object, on its Y axis. Allowing you to make the same kind of effect. There is also the package geom.... but also part of CS4 PerspectiveProjection class. If you use CS3 you can use something like PaperVision or Away3D to accomplish the same thing...

  I have a mac pro running 10.6.8. Since I upgraded my iphone 5s today 10.0.2, I am unable to use Image Capture on my mac to transfer your photos, iphoto does not work either.   I would like firefox to use images cached immediately on sertain sites, instead of exchanging a lot of pending requests for the code 304 'unchanged' on them, to make browsing it there a bit faster and smoother.

  Is there a way to do this, just change the parameters of FF, or I have to look for some addon?

• I use Image Capture to shoot pics my phone is off

  Tired of importers jpg directly to photographs, then having to export and re-name-the, I use Image Capture to extract my iPhone.  I save it to my desktop.   I got their name in the Finder.  Then, I open the pictures and import them from my office.  When I finished all imports, I delete the pictures on my desk.  I have been through the jpgs in Photos and see several that I KNOW that I have given a file name, but they have names like IMG_5677.  What a waste of time!   I HATE it that Apple makes it so difficult just give a file name to your photos!  I use filenames for reasons of family history.  I don't want to be enslaved to a convention of software as "Securities.".

  There is no automatic way to do a countdown to use images instead of numbers, but there is a solution.

  It is a type of advance but the here is one of the approaches that I could take.

  • Each of your images photoshop exports a separate numbered file their numbering from 1 to 9 and put them in the same folder
  • Open the dialog of the import in AE by double clicking on the project Panel or by selecting file > import > file and select one of the images in the order
  • Make sure part options open dialog is visible and check the box that says (any file type you choose) JPEG sequence is checked
  • Now add your images are a movie in the timeline with all images in order
  • Add your movie to image sequence to the timeline
