  Running currently on OS X El Capitan with Update Version 10.11.3 installed January 27, 2016

  Problem: I was on the purchase of 2016 Office for Mac and tried to install the update of El Capitan OS X 10.11.1 which is necessary to solve the problems with this version of Microsoft Office.  During installation, the following error message appears:

  "OS X El Capitan update cannot be installed on this drive. This volume does not meet the conditions required for this update".

  You are using a newer version of El Capitan that the updater contains and so cannot install it.

  I read all the posts on the thread "iPhone 6 freezes after iOS 9 update" and tried ALL the options mentioned in the thread, including taking the phone to the iPhone "geniuses" (ha! What gumption) and after 3 months of running around they gave me, the problem still remains. It's December 28 and I first started noticing symptoms appox when iOS 9 was released in late September.

  Apple won't admit they should be Recalling all these phones, but it's the right thing to do. My 1 year warranty expired in November and now I'm SOL.

  Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

  • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
  • Press and hold the Home button
  • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

  Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

  If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.
