  • Lightroom CC gel when you use the adjustment brush

I recently discovered the power of the adjustment brush for Dodge & burn my RAW photos. I am progressing through a photo editing however, my Mac gets slower and hangs with the beach ball. I upgraded my RAM from 8 to 16 GB and updated from a disk to a 1 TB SSD HARD 750Gig, but it always crashes when I get into an editing tool. My computer is a MacBook Pro 13 "(mi-2012), processor: 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7, memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB." In the Lightroom preferences, running, I get an error message when I click use GPU: "acceleration of the graphics processor has been disabled due to errors. Everyone knows about this problem? It drives me crazy. Surely I don't have to buy a new, more powerful Mac just to use the adjustment brush properly?

This slowdown/gel is a known problem with make a lot of adjustments and/or healing spot on a single photo.

There are a number of possible remedies

    1. Get a faster CPU (speed of the car and the amount of memory and power of the graphics card will not affect this problem)
    2. All of your brushing and/or spot as the next step in the last edition and the last step, the healing light up any correction of lens (if desired)
    3. Make the brush in Photoshop Elements or Photoshop
  • Cannot add other changes by using the adjustment brush in Lightroom 5.

Use Lightroom 5 - when I go to a previously published picture to do more to change by using the adjustment brush, I opened the effect I want to use (Dodge, for example), but all of the sliders are inoperative. The word "Dodge (Edited)" appears in the header of effects. This is why I can not make any further changes to the image. I open the drop down menu effects and ticked 'restore default presets', but nothing helped. All welcome solutions.

Make sure that the flow and the density are not set to 0 or another low value. Try setting the two to 100.

  • Using the adjustment brush to the size of the image 100%

I have used the adjustment brush in ACR ver 8.1 in CS6 & CS6cc.  I can use the brush to place the mask but wish I could edit the mask to 100%.  This requires that I move the image around the use of the hand tool, but by selecting the hand tool to deselect the PIN for the adjustment brush.  After moving into a new place in the picture and select the adjustment brush, how do I turn on the PIN to touch up the mask?

When you work with the ay tool in Camera Raw, hold the space bar will give you the tool moving for as long as the space bar is pressed - and back to provious tool when leave.

  • compensation to the previous settings when you use the adjustment brush

I want to add sharpening to the eyes on a photo, so I take the adjustment brush, although there are a lot of settings across the panels that have parameters. I try to click again to make a new brush through the previous settings are still there and if I start painting it is also change of exposure, etc.. What is the best way to reset all the previous settings without changing anything in my image? In other words, I don't want to erase any setting that I've already applied to the image at the new adjustment brush.

    Thanks for any info.

As soon as you click on new, just double-click on the word effect upward the adjustment panel brush. Which resets everything in the adjustment brush. But since you have chosen again, it will have no effect on your previous brush.

    Hello world!

I have a problem with Lightroom CC. whenever I try to use the adjustment brush, the whole program just disappears from the display. I open it again, and it says that the program quit unexpectedly (obviously). I use an iMac of 2.9 GHz with OS EL Capitan 10.11.4.

    Hi Apple Geek faithful.

Make sure that the program is updated to CC2015.5: keeping up-to-date for Lightroom

Also, suggest you to reset preferences Lighroom and then check: given to zero (or "Trashing") the Lightroom preference file. Lightroom Forums

  • Lightroom4, the adjustment brush does not work in the center of the screen

When I use an adjustment brush, it does not work when I move the cursor toward the center of the screen, in the rest of the image, and when I move or zoom the image that will work, if I can use the adjustment brush anywhere in the image, as long as it is not in the center of the screen.

I had exactly the same question, not only with the adjustment brush, but overall the application (for example, in the library grid view, I could not select all photos in a part of the center of the screen).

I left and restarted the app and that seems to fix the problem.

  • override the preset with the adjustment brush?

I used creative B & W low contrast preset to give a picture of my neighbor white cat a high key B & W look. I would like to use the adjustment brush to restore the color of cat's eyes. I thought raise saturation would do the trick because the preset reduces saturation to 0. Using the brush Wo does not seem to do something for the cat's eyes.

You can see the image here...

    Thanks for your suggestions.

    LR 2.4

To a proposal, the preset may also have changed the B & Wtreatment , in which case the saturation to the brush has no effect. You will need to do the other way autour and brush on the parties of saturation of the image. Or get an easy way out and use the PS and masks and layers.

  • Why the adjustment brush can not add color highlights white/facts?

  • Help! I can't use the tool brush history BUG? bug objects #rasterizing

    Hey!

When I try to use history brush it tool SAI: 'this smart object must be rasterized before. " I've never had this error before was pressed something because I rly want to change but it's keep me away... Pls help guys.

Smart pixel rendering object layer cannot be changed. They can be ordered on with filters and adjustment layers.  Do not use tool on them that actually change the pixels in layers. You may not use the erasers, brushes or filter them directly.  All smart object layers have a transform associated with the scale the layers.  The transformation is as a smart filter. The associated transformation turns to smart object layers made of pixels on a different scale. The pixels of the layer are not actually changed.

What you are experiencing is not a bug it's a correct operation.

  • SKY BLUE TO USING THE SMART BRUSH?

I'm trying to blue sky-wash using the Smart brush to 13 items. Despite what I believe to be the correct procedure (i.e. open the image in Photo Editor, click on the smart brush, smart brush tool, choose the effect of sky blue (top-left) in the effect selector, select the adjustment brush and clicking on the photo selected area Sky does any change.) Can someone advise please?

Thank you very much in anticipation.

On the layer of blue sky 1 mix 'Normal' mode or 'darken '. It works for you?

I noticed that the color palette such as displayed in the adjustment brush has changed. This is the screen for 5.0

and below is a screen for 5.2RC

I wonder if it's meaningful. I know it dosent change something about the color choice.

I was wondering. I guess it makes more sense geometrically.

The color strip can be moved and set wherever you like.

If you hold down your Alt/Opt key while placing the cursor on the color picker, you can click and drag the band where you want it. Note, this does not change the hue value (number), only when it appears on the screen.

You can set your color to 0, and then drag it to the left using the Alt-click-drag, if it bothers you.

  • Changes in the adjustment brush settings cause global changes

When I select the adjustment brush when I go to set a cursor basis he made global changes. If you ignore it and use the brush still works as expected.  Tried the repair option and restart but no change. Anyone had this happen? It just started this making unannounced.

Thanks I figured that something didn't look right, but am a fairly new user of ambient light. Thanks for the help, she collapsed and never showed when I chose the brush.

  • All of a sudden without effect on the adjustment brush

    Hello.

I use Photoshop CS5 with the latest Camera Raw.

My problem is that all of a sudden, the adjustment brush doen't work. All functions still ok, but it has no effect when you use the brush to clarify or darken an area. I think it must be something that I pressed by mistake or so.

I'm very desperate. Please someone help me before I have to reinstall the product again. Thank you very much

Ensure that the flow and the density of the sliders are greater than zero (see screenshot below). In addition, activating / disabling "Show mask" is useful when you are trying to see if adjustment is applied, especially when the adjustment slider is close to zero.

I have Adobe Lightroom installed on 2 computers. 1 works perfectly. On the other machine, the adjustment brush does not work. You can hear the fans in the Gallery of the computer up as if he is trying to work. All the other features do not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom cc, but this does not solve the problem. Both computers are running windows 7 Professional 64-bit
