Using the Android emulator?

Everyone uses the Android emulator to preview apps DPS or folios? Experiences or advice?

DPS folios/apps can be viewed on the Android emulator. Use instead the Adobe Content Viewer to preview the sheets on a physical device. You can download the content here Adobe Content Viewer - Android applications on Google game Viewer

  • NullPointerException in MAF 2.1 Application in the Android emulator

    Hi all

I'm a newbie in the development of mobile applications.

I tried the standard tutorial provided by oracle as mentioned below

Consuming web services REST-JSON in Mobile Applications with Oracle Mobile Application Framework

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E53569_01/tutorials/tut_jdev_maf_json/tut_jdev_maf_json.html

    I get the NullPointerException

    Log attached for reference

    Help will be greatly appreciated

    Hello

I see this in your papers

[SEVERE - oracle.adfmf.framework - RestTransportLayer - readResponse] Exception reading response: java.io.IOException: connection refused

What URL did you use your connection IS MAF? Did you follow-up point 3 to step 6

"If you use the Android emulator to test, localhost (127.0.0.1) will not work for testing and you can use as the host address 10.0.2.2. It is a special alias to your host loopback interface. Set the connection IS as shown in the image below, and change the reference of localhost (127.0.0.1) for 10.0.2.2.

Note: to 10.0.2.2 you can also use the actual IP address that is assigned to your computer (assuming that your computer is on a network). »

I suggest to use the actual IP address where possible.

  • ADF Mobile: Error when accessing the app from the Android emulator

I am trying to build a mobile app ADF with JDeveloper (11.1.2.4.0) and its extension ADF Mobile Framework (11.1.2.4.39.64.69). The version of the Android API is 23 and the SDK build tools and platform version 20.

I built the app and the deployment of the android emulator has been a success, but when I try to access the application on the emulator, it throws an error indicating that the application has stopped working.

When I check logcat he showed the exception stack trace below that throws an UnsupportedOperationException

    Hi SayantanSinha,

If you look under API supported levels, the maximum is 19 API.  I can't speak for the ADF 11.1.2 but the lines of code in the (more recent) MAF, who have a similar support matrix, we have noted problems with the API 20.

You can download older versions of the API of the Manager of Android SDK tool.  Remember to update your EPCO or JDev SDK configuration with the version that you want to use once it is installed.

Looks like you have spaces in the path where you created your Mobile ADF workspace:

    C:\JDeveloper\mywork\ADF Mobile Tutorial 1

I suggest that is to run the command turned off. Close JDev, remove spaces, reopen JDev then the workspace. Try again.

The emulator can run out of space for applications - so if you have other applications that are deployed to the emulator remove them and then try again.

  • Despite the AIR3.0 and FlashPlayer 10.1 installed on the android emulator, not able to show a SWF

    (a) I tried to display a SWF file in a file HTML using WebView. I see a message asking to get Flash Player. Somehow, the emulator is not able to find the Flash Player is installed in the emulator.

BTW I use Android 2.3 SDK

    (b) I create a mobile app with Flex 4.5.1 and installed the apk for android. The application has a view that shows the SWF in a local HTM file using StageWebView. I was able to test the application using Flex emulator.

But in the android emulator, when I get to the view that shows the local HTML file - it asks Flash Player must be installed.

    All the tracks?

It seems Flash player does not have the Android emulator. We can only test on real devices

  • AIR runtime on the Android emulator

    Welcome,

I have a problem with the AIR runtime on the Android emulator: after that I installed the apk from runtime (everything's fine) I try to install the helloworld.apk compiled with Flash CS5 + Ext. Andr

Well, I get this message "INSTALLED INVALID APK failed"

    Someone knows why?

    > Just one more question: can you explain to me why whenever I compile I return this messsage?

    >' No library was linked as a Runtime Shared Library (RSL) because of your publication settings: AIR Android '

Flash CS doesn't let you link libraries such as RSL in Android. You probably use a standard library, which by default is linked as an RSL. The warning is just to tell you that linking is overridden. (Text Layout Framework is more likely library). If you do not intentionally use RSL, or don't know what a RSL is, you can ignore the warning.

  • The Android emulator VPN proxy problem

Hi, I am facing a problem with the Android emulator in a VPN.

As a solution usually followed I got to AFN-> fill out the following details:

    Name-T-Mobile US

    Internet APN

    Proxy-DMZ-proxy.oracleads.com/ www-proxy.idc.oracle.com/rmdc-proxy.oracle.com/www-proxy.us.oracle.com (all tried)

    port-80

    e-mail my username oracle

    password password

Always the emulator intercepts not the internet.

    Hello.

If you are on a Wi - fi n/w disable your LAN card adapter in the adapter settings.

    The following worked for me

    Name-T-Mobile US

    Internet APN

    Proxy-www-proxy.idc.oracle.com

    port-80

Delete the entries for name and user password. They are not necessary.

Press F8 on windows to enable/disable the network connection on the emulator. Close the browser and start again in the emulator.

  • How can I watch and download videos like youtube flash videos if flash player can't stand not for mobile phones using the android version 4.0?

My mobile android version is 4.1.2. At the present time, I can't watch and download videos from youtube. If flash player does not support any mobile by using the version of android more 4.0, how can I watch and download these flash videos?

You can always download and install Flash for Android 4.0 which still works on android versions greater than 4.0, which is located on this site (http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html), which is the own adobe site. Look for the Flash for Android 4.0 and the latest version. Although it is not advisable to use an outdated version of flash as it is not secure.

I don't know where I missed the configuration. Can someone please?

Another question is what java emulator version android uses? and where we configure the emulator to tell which version of java to use (I don't remember that I did something like that)?

    Hello.

As I said in my original reply:

    Blueberry coder wrote:
We have plans to upgrade the virtual machine down the road to a more recent version; Unfortunately, I can't be more specific as to where we expect to deliver it.

    It's probably Java 8.

  • Impossible to download or sync music from my library using the android app Apple music

I'm unable to download or synchronize my library of Apple's music on my device Android in-app music Apple.

I've been using music Apple on Android for a few months, but has recently shifted from a Nexus 5 to a motorcycle G4.

I installed the Apple music app and logged as usual. When you select the my music option in the menu, the app has attempted to update my library but gave a message 'don't miss not a Beat - find your Favorites and add them to my music, then come back and enjoy them here '.

I already have hundreds of songs in my music that I can access my desktop and access on my Nexus 5 institutions.

I tried to add new songs from the application, but this will not happen. Neither the app let me download all the music section to browse.

I can listen to music, but not to download and sync.

No matter who else facing the same problem? Or someone who can suggest me a way out?

    Hey there AppleUser_4491!

It's really nice to have your Favorites saved in the app Apple music for easy reading. If you do not check the steps described in this article: get help with music from Apple on Android - Apple Support

Try to restart the application first:

    Restart the application

Most of the problems solve if you leave the Apple music, then re-open it.

To ensure that the application is completely closed and all background processes are stopped until you reopen it, follow these steps:

    1. In the home screen, tap applications.
    2. Press settings.
    3. Scroll down to Applications and press 'Application Manager'.
    4. Press Apple's music.
    5. Press Stop Force. If you see a message that says "If you force stop an application, it can lead to errors," press OK.
    6. Return to the home screen or in your applications list, then reopen the Apple music.

Let us know how to work the steps described in the article.

    See you soon!
