Utility HP always chooses the wrong printer

I have two HP printers that I use a MacBook and travel with her. An I keep at home (a Photosmart C4180) and another (a Photosmart Premium C309g-m).

For some reason any, whenever I Plug one of them in my computer, the HP utility think I the other is plugged it. It is impossible to retrieve any useful information, or I can use anything directly related to the HP utility. (I can always print with the two and scan with the former.) If I choose another printer, I get a loading bar for a fraction of a second, and the HP utility does nothing. I can't remove a device, and if I try to click on 'All settings', utility HP crashes.

  • Photoshop CS5 always chooses the wrong monitor in dual monitor profile?

    The folklore is that if you go to EDIT/COLOR SETTINGS and open space RGB Working drop down, and then up on the "Monitor RGB" line in what he says is the profile monitor that photoshop is actually to aid.

    If that's true, then I expect if I run photoshop on my monitor 1 he would show the monitor 1 profile, and if I have PS on Monitor 2 it would show the 2 monitor profile. But in fact, it always shows the monitor profile 1. Naturally, this creates anxiety that PS uses the wrong profile to display my images, because I normally work with the image on the screen 2.

    My configuration: Windows 7 64-bit, PS 12.0.1 x 64. Matrox M9120 graphics card drive two monitors. MANAGEMENT of Windows CONTROL COLOR/PANEL displays a different profile active on each monitor.

    (By running photoshop on a particular monitor, I want to say I run photoshop, drag mode non-plein screen on the desired monitor and close it.) Then I run it again and it starts on this screen (including the start screen)).

    What photographers want to know, that's exactly what photoshop monitor profile used when displaying an image? Where is the answer to this question please?

    The profile associated with this display in the settings of the operating system.

    Photoshop DO fixes for each display separately, using the profiles associated with each screen and correction the same for images that run through several screens.  If you move the window, Photoshop updates the values of color accordingly.  He has done that since Photoshop 5.0.

  • Photo printing choose the wrong device

    I have a printer that is also a fax machine. When it has been configured, it created a printer id and a fax number. I set the printer as the default printer and it works very well when printing documents. However, when I print a picture it automatically selects the fax id and I have to manually select the printer id. Is it possible that I can set the default printer when printing photos.

  • Choose the right printer to print (leave the default printer)

    Hello

    I m wrote a script to automate the printing process in Photoshop. I m of the problems when tell Photoshop to set the correct printer...

    The printer I want to print is a network printer, called '\\PC1\Sony UP-DR150.

    So I tried:

    var doc = app.activeDocument

    doc.printSettings.activePrinter = '\\PC1\Sony UP-DR150.

    The result of the code is always my default printer computer. Photohop does not change the printer!

    Now another test:

    var doc = app.activeDocument

    PR = doc.printSettings.printers var

    doc.printSettings.activePrinter = pr [5] //this is the correct printer number in the table 'pr '.

    The result of the code is the same > always my default computer printer. Photohop does not change the printer to the desired direction.

    What Miss me?

    Thank you for the help

    Best regards

    Gustavo.

    I wonder if you tried...

    var doc = app.activeDocument
    doc.printSettings.activePrinter = "\\\\PC1\\Sony UP-DR150"

    As each backslash would need to be escaped.

  • DateField clear if the user choosing the wrong pattern (or validation fails)

    Hello

    I have a date field for which I have a particular pattern("DD/MM/YYYY").

    I want to get out in addition to the entered value if the user enters the value in the wrong format.

    I know that this is possible using Designer 9.0

    If (this.errorText! = null)

    then

    this.rawValue = 0;   -in the event exit

    But I am using Designer 8.2 for the current project and please tell us how this can be made possible here.

    Thank you

    KC

    I don't think it's a good idea to limit the input to the ground that one format only.

    This is going to be frustrating for users, as the validation may fail too often.

    It is better to make the entry as flexible as possible by combining several models:

    As the use of template editing:

    date {jj. MM YYYY} | date {YYYY} | date {DDMMYYYY} | date {DD MM YYYY} | date {YYYY-MM-DD} | date {DD, MM, YYYY} | date {MM/DD/YYYY}. date {jj. MM YY} | date {parag} | da you {DDMMYY} | date {JJ MM AA} | date {JJ-MM-AA} | date {DD, MM, AA} | date {JJ/MM/AA}

    and like the model display:

    date {MM/DD/YYYY}

    Users then can enter dates in many ways but always get the correctly displayed as DD/MM/YYYY.

  • Unable to choose the default printer

    Original title: System do not select the default printer.

    I just added HP Officejet Pro 8620, but does not do by default.  My HP Pro 400 is still my printer by default, but every time I print, the 8620 appears as the default even if not selected by default and I need to change it to use the default printer, so that both printers are working properly, my system does not recognize the default printer as the default printer.  I played with the default setting, modify the printers and then back to the default, I want to, but who was not good.

    Hello

    Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

    The problem may be due to reasons like print, of any conflict of third party software, virus or malware etc. settings. I suggest you run the printer Troubleshooter and verify.

    Step 1: A convenience store is an automated tool that can find and automatically fix problems with your PC.

    Troubleshooting of the printer

    Step 2: If the problem persists, I suggest you perform the clean boot in order to avoid any conflict of third party software.

    Put your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

    How to perform a clean boot in Windows

    Note: see 'How do I reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting' to reset the computer starts normally after troubleshooting.

    Step 3: Run Microsoft Safety Scanner to find and remove viruses or malware.

    The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    Microsoft safety scanner

    Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

    Note: Data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.

  • Windows chooses the wrong graphics driver

    Facts:

    I want HP dv6 laptop 7200 t I bought directly from HP.

    In the speifications, I asked a graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 630 M with 2 GB of dedicated ram.

    I am using Windows 7 64 bit in English.

    Now, I didn't have much use for such a card chart until today - I installed a game and he pointed out my graphics card sucks and the game does not work well on it - he says that my graphics card is Intel HD Graphics 4000.

    I checked Device Manager and found 2 - both of the listed graphics cards graphics drivers.

    two of them are up to date (I took care of the nvidia Control Panel to the other, and even reinstalled it just in case)

    Assumptions:

    I'm not much of an expert in hardware, but I guess I have 2 graphics card - internal on motherboard (intel) and external (GeForce) - feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

    And if that's the case, somehow Windows chooses to use Intel instead of GeForce.

    I also made sure of it by disabling the Intel HD Graphics 4000 of the Device Manager and my screen went black - guess that its safe to assume that indeed intel driver is in use.

    Question:

    If so far I'm supposed so maybe my question is simple - how can I tell Windows choose otherwise?

    And if I'm wrong, no doubt, I'm in a deep hole, what should I do?

    Thank you!!

    Alex

    Hey, Alex:

    The two GPU is soldered to the motherboard.  There is no graphics "card" in any portable consumer HP at the current address.

    Please read this guide to learn how to use switchable graphics with the Intel/Nvidia graphic installation program.

  • The wrong printer is listed on "significant change preferences.

    It s/b HP 8600 Officejet 8600 (network). I think that the transition to a wireless system, when I installed a new PC, did not get picked up by t-bird. How to change.

    No specific ideas. But removing any printer preference in config editor will not cause more harm.

    In this case I think
    Print.print_printer and print_printer must both be initialized.
    Note that print.print_printer is a legacy preference and could no longer exist in your preferences here. If it is reset. Otherwise forget it

  • Pipette selects the wrong color

    I'm using Photoshop CS5 (version 12.1 x 64).

    When I try to use the eyedropper tool on a thin (1-4 pixel) form (both pathed and raster) he chooses the wrong color and didn't give me a light, similar color.

    See below:

    eyedrop.jpg

    It's me by clicking on the right in the middle of this red line using the "slider pricision" and she chose this rose color.

    I did not have this problem in earlier versions of Photoshop.

    Anyone know why this is happening?

    See the eyedropper tool - you set to sample an area larger than a single pixel, so it's the mix of the white circle with your red line.

  • HP DESKJET 2540: My HP printer connects to the wrong wireless network

    Hello

    I use a MacBook Pro, OS X 10.9

    I have a printer HP DESKJET 2540

    I just installed a new network at my place. I'm trying to connect my printer to this new network wirelessly via WIFI.

    BUT the printer keeps on connecting to the previous network, which is an open access network (FreeWIFI)

    I've tried EVERYTHING. I pressed simultaneously the Wireless button and the button to launch the copy in black. The wirelss test report shows that my printer is currently always logged the previous SSID

    Help, please!

    Hi @JACE1,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

    I understand that your HP Deskjet 2540 guard wrong wireless network connection. I'm happy to look into this problem of connectivity for you!

    On the wireless test report, must be an IP address from the printer. Try putting the IP address in a web browser, such as: Safari or Firefox, etc. You should see a built-in Web server. Find the network tab and then select it. Then, look for the wireless configuration wizard option. (This should be able to search for the network wireless appropriate for you).

    See page 55 of the User Guidefor more details your printer.

    Hope this solves your problem and have a nice day!

Example: Print 5 copies of a 3 page document, it will come out as 11111 22222 33333 instead of 12345 12345 12345, this has been the case with reading 8-11 and also DC

    Hi Vanessa,

    Your printer can sort multiple copy tasks. For example, if you print two copies of a three-page document and you choose not to collect them, the pages printed in the following order: 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3.

    Make sure that you check the mark before printing.

    Let me know if you are still having a problem.

  • Print photos in the wrong order

    In the Photos app, I need to print multiple photos on one page.  It won't let me print them in the order I'd like, but seems to align them in chronological order.  The photos appear in chronological order on the page where I have chosen size, etc, but when the real print preview page comes, they are in reverse order.

    First of all, how to make them print in reverse as they originally appear (not?)  Second, is there a way to force the program to print the photos in the order I want them, not in chronological order?

    What presentation do you use?  Try the following:

    1 assemble the images in an album and organize manually in the order you want.

    2 - type command-A to select all the images in the album.

    2 - type Command + P to access the print window.

    3 - Select the Contact card or custom page layout.

    In two of these page layouts, images are in order I put in the album.

    4. for the custom sheet, you will need to choose a size that will get all the images on a single sheet.

    If you have not updated to 10.11.3 with Photos 1.3 I suggest you do so.  There are a number of bug fixes in both as well as new features that make the update is worth it.

  • Printer says I have ink cartridges in the wrong housing but they are not

    I have a printer HP Photosmart 7510 who keeps saying that I have the cartridge in the wrong slot. All 5 are in the correct locations.

    Take a look on the link following which treats problems ink cartridge.  Click here  You did most of these, but do not yet made steps.  The link suggests you clean the contacts again.  Make sure that the cartridges are level with each other.

    If this does not help, I suggest you do a reset of the ink system.  To do this, remove the printhead and ink cartridges.  See this link.  Close the access of transport cover.  Follow the reset instructions in the following link.  Click here  Once the printer rear lights up and indicates that the print head is missing, reinstall the print head.  Close the access door.  When the printer indicates one or more of the ink cartridges are missing, reposition one of them and close the access door until the cartridge shows.  Repeat the process until all the cartridges are reinstalled.  This aid?

  • I want to change my 'username' under Windows because when I print says the wrong name.

    I want to change my name on 'user name' on Windows, because when I print it says that bad name.  Also on certain actions in Windows XP, it says the wrong name.   I changed my username as administrator, but the Windows user name needs to be changed.  How do I do that?

    You can change the name of your Windows user profile (the name that appears on the Welcome screen when you first start the computer and also appears in the top of the start menu) using information connected by Debleena S, but (a) that can lead to confusion, because the folder of the file names do not change when you look at them in Explorer Windows and (b) doing so probably will not change the behavior that you describe (") ("when I print it says the fake name of family").

    What that means (what 'user name' have you changed?  "What does change"?) :

    I changed my username as administrator, but the Windows user name needs to be changed.

    It's a very bad idea to use the account named Administrator for daily use.

    Are what "window print" you referring?  Are you referring to something like "Comment" line on this picture that says "HP 4000 in laboratory of Steve Diamond 2-231"--> http://www.apl.jhu.edu/~hall/java/Swing-Tutorial/Printing/PrintDialog-W.gif ".

    Application, including the version, do you use to print?
