  SSP Essbase server shows but for all groups roles has beed deleted.

  When I try to re - assign particular group roles, I realized that Essbase server does not show in the left pane.

  This means essbase struck with Shared Services? If so can you please let me know the steps to register again?

  I know to remove the instance Essbase Shared Services and new Externalize user will do, BUT can you please let me know y at - it problems doing?

  Problem has been resolved. Worked with Oracle and review Essbase.

  It is corrupt and possibly RDBMS openldap.

  Solution: Manually (via MaxL) has deleted all requests for services shared and deleted essbase server then outsourced to the users to register with Shared Services.

• Problems w / Essbase 9.3.1 Installation

  Hi, I'm new to essbase. I installed the SSP and essbase server admin services on a Windows XP computer. After going through all the steps in the config util and all services for tomcat deployment, rebooted the machine and started all services (shared services, ldap, bi + analytic and admin services), I couldn't see the inside the SSP essbase server. the only thing I could see inside the project folder of shared services is "business rules" If the installation has been completed successfully, I should be able to see "Analytics Server: servername" inside the folder of hss project. Also, I didn't see the server essbase w / in the console of Directors svc. If anyone know what I did wrong in the installation? I can't clear the checkpoint.
  
  When I install first of all, I installed in this order: hss, eas, essbase server. then I uninstalled and reinstalled in this order: hss essbase server, EE. However, I noticed that the tomcat component and settings remain and not all directories have been deleted. After the second installation, it looked like he had the rest 1st installation of time setting. any suggestions? would really appreciate help w / this. THX.

  Hello

  The essbase servername directive will be the host name of the machine that you installed essbase on.
  You get the error message is due to username/password incorrect name, make sure that when you add the essbase server, you enter the same name of user and password you set up when you set essbase.

• Error when using the SmartView Ad - hoc analysis

  When I use the Ad hoc analysis of SmartView, it has this error message you are invited to:
  
  "Cannot perform the operation view cube. OLAP error (1020011): maximum number of lines [5000] exceeded. »
  
  I modifed a line in the essbase.properties "service.olap.dataQuery.grid.maxRows = 5000" the value between 5000 and 10000 and it's still not working. I restart all services of Hyperion and it's still doesn't work.
  
  Can anyone give me some suggestions?

  It will be in the APS, in V11 directory, the directory is % HYPERION_HOME%\products\Essbase\aps\bin\essbase.properties, to 9.3.1 is % HYPERION_HOME%\AnalyticProviderServices\bin, after you have updated the file, restart the APS service.

• Essbase not from V11.1.2.2

  I installed V11.1.2.2 on Windows 2003 server with oracle 10g under database.
  My installed components are Foundation Services & Essbase.
  
  I'm being transferred to unique managed server so I see the service as ' Hyperion EPM server - web application.
  During the startup of this service, I am able to connect on HSS with my Admin account.
  
  Then I try to connect to my Essbase.
  Services EAS is started & EAS connection is successful.
  
  Now, when I try to start my services essbase (tried with OPN & startessbase.bat) to connect to Essbase, unfortunately I see the error below.
  I checked this forum & experts suggested to check the number of the agent in the configuration file (.cfg) can see it correctly points to 1423.
  
  Unable to start service (ohsInstance3250625901) to manage the Oracle process on local computer
  Error 1053: The service did not start timely demand
  
  I even checked the event viewer, but unfortunately could not find any information.

  I noticed that downloading of OTN (evaluation) do not have Essbase Admin 11.1.1.2.0, if it presents Essbase provider services, client & server downloads for Essbase. The Essbase V9.3.1 has all the modules.    Can someone explain why the Essbase administrator is missing in V11.1.1.2.0?

  If you get a CRC error, it means that the file you downloaded corrupted in some way, you will need to download again as it should extract without any warnings.

• Essbase server URL of the SSP sub-folder of application groups can not see...

  I installed successfully hyperion EPMA 11.1.2.3 on windows server 2008 R2. I can connect to all the components hyperion essbase except succussfully. While trying to connect to essbase by EAS it gives me below error.

  "Error: 103: error unexpected Essbase 1051293 Error: 1051293: connection fails due to invalid credentials".

  In shared services, I do not see essbase cluster while the other components are visible.

  I'm working on 11.1.2.2 EPM platform and I need to change the connection essbase to Shared Services. I want to connect to another instance on another server. So, I think to start the Configurator on the new server to connect the essbase to the new instance. However, what about the existing configuration? I have to cancel the configuration it? Is there a procedure that I could follow?

• SSP does not show my Essbase Server

  Hi, im wondering if someone out there can help.
  
  I worked on a new Installation of marchandises9.
  
  I installed all the software base (Shared Services), analysis of the Web on a 32-bit windows 2003 and installed the Essbase application on a 64-bit windows server. I went through the Setup process and all the products registered with shared services, but when I connect to shared through services: http://application-tier server: port/interoperability/and sign I do not see the essbase Server? IM really lost thereby and don't know what to try.
  
  I set up my SQL databases and shared comeprehesive speaks for them I suppose that as works of SS. (HSS, BIPLUS)
  
  On all configurations, I left the standard default credentials as the same. so now the install essbase user name is admin and the password, password for instence. Does make a difference?
  
  Any help will be greatly appreciated as I am very lost thereby.

  There is no switch inversion.

  You can however, stop Essbase, rename Essbase.sec to something like Essbase.sec.externalized and remove Essbase.bak (so Essbase does not seek to recovcer him), then restart Essbase. It will be just like Essbase was first installed - not outsourced. You have lost all the powers of security and that a draft of Essbase in Shared Services. This project should be deleted which you can do through the interface user of SS.

  I am currently working on Hyperion 11.1.2.3 and have installed Hyperion essbase and planning for the same thing. Until a few days back I was able to connect to my server essbase in environmental assessments, but now it gives me error that says: error: 1042006: Network error [10061]: unable to connect to [WIN - 1K6GBOF63C0:1423], where WIN-1K6GBOF63C0 is my machine name.

  The error being generated using relates to Essbase is not able to connect to the registry of SSP database, or the database is corrupt.

  Are a set of services to automatic, maybe that the database has not increased and running prior to Essbase trying to boot against the register of Shared Services.

  Confirm the relational database is finally up and running and you can connect, then clear the Essbase logs, start Essbase, and post again the same newspapers.

• Essbase cluster without stopping

  I have implemented an active-passive cluster of Essbase via OPMN with (restart death = false) on v11.1.2.3.506

  However when I want to stop the Essbase agent on the Active Server using stopall opmnctl, the Essbase agent stops but then it starts on the passive server!

  So, I have to perform stopall opmnctl firstly on the passive server then on the Active Server to stop Essbase.

  = > Is this the right way? Since this is the user requesting the closure, it is not as a failure?

  Hi, which version of Essbase using? I did not use the Security Manager, but when I want to export security there is an option in the node of server called security, just as you must click and the .sec file gets exported to the folder that you specified on the Essbase server.

  Unfortunately or fortunately, we get from the entire server security, security of individual applications cannot be obtained with this method (Ver 11.1.2.1).

  In addition, you can go to the SSP and get security. Here you can try to get for each application separately.
