  Lately, my software VAIO Update 5 keeps producing an error which reads:

  "Cannot acquire the configuration settings for VAIO Update."

  When the application opens and begins first searchign for updates. My version of the App is 5.0.0.12090 and my device VPCF115FM (BIOS R025V6), all accessible from the system.

  Someone at sony can help me to resolve this error so that I can use it to get the latest updates that are now view the Web site?

  Just popping to keep this thread 'alive '. I bought my VAIO VPCCW27FX about 3 1/2 months, and have the same problem. When I started the computer to the top of the first, the initially loaded VAIO Update has worked - firstly it is updated, and then we found I think that 4 or 5 other updates to download and install. After that, whenever I tried to run the program, I get the message "Cannot acquire settings configurations for VAIO Update". Some people have pointed out that if they click on one of the two other options (for example successfully installed updates), then on get updates again, the program "works", but while it seems search and does not give the error message, he never actually finds something (despite the fact that he is there * are * updates there).

  Any word on a fix/new version of the Vaio update?

  Quick question... When you come out Vaio Update that can be installed directly in Windows 8.1 instead of through the Windows 8 first, then upgrade to 8.1 Windows the path is published on your support site?

  Have you tried to install Version 6.2.0.14170 of the VAIO Update software first and then install the Version 6.3.1.10120 of the VAIO Update software?

• VAIO Update - update Vaio VGN-NR110E does not work

  VAIO Update icon displays in the task bar, and yet I never got any notification of anything!

  When I right click the icon, Vaio Update Options, check for update is checked as it is automatically display the icon in the taskbar.

  If I choose to go to the Web Support Vaio, I get the HTTP 403 Forbidden error; can connect but don't have permissions to view.  Version is Vaio Update 3.0.02.05090.

  Uninstall/remove programs shows Vaio Update 3 installed at the factory according to the date of installation.  The only solution is to uninstall, there is no repair option.

  I am the sole owner of this PC and not out of the ordinary has been done all the original hardware and software.  Minimum applications have been installed; no service disabled.

  Then comes "left click" on each driver and a browser window opens in a sony support page where you can download the file.

  VAIO Duo 13 with windows 8.1

  VAIO Update always tells me that I need to install the Intel HD Graphics Driver 10.18.10.3355 update. But I have already installed 10.18.10.3410. I tried to remove this update, but it is listed as high priority and cannot be deleted. I even tried to install the update with the intention of 10.18.10.3410 then put it back, but the installation fails because I can not install an update on a later version and the continuous alert to display. Any ideas how to get rid of this alert to update?

  I am trying to upgrade my SVS131290X (which * is * listed in the expandable models)-However, when I go to run the tool to update/upgrade of VAIO indications, it just comes back and says the model is not supported.

• Sony Vaio - update software and then crash

  Good so I have found computer laptop Sony Vaio VGN-SZ740 in the trash, the other day and was delighted to find that it works perfectly, in addition to a dead battery. I take it to the library and start deleting all files from previous owners and browsed the web for about 3 hours. I decided to update the software, because a message box just kept popping up. He told me that I have to restart my computer for all changes must be made so I did and he entered the system download screen and it is 3 cycles to download everything that. He raised the download phase 2 up to 50% when he over took me to black screen and says one of the files is not good and I need to use the drive of discovery in order to get back to. Problem is since I found it in the trash, that it did not come with manual or disc and it's a big apartment to find the owner will be difficult. What can I do and how to get back to my computer. • VAIO AND VAIO CARE UPDATE has stopped working

  VAIO VPCCW21FX vaio update version 5 but does not update.
  The control panel and remove the vaio update installed at new, but does not.

  The same thing happens with the vaio care.

  Many users have had problems with these programs. There are a lot of posts in this section relating to similar issues that you are experiencing currently. I take some time and look at some of the problems/solutions that others have tried. You may receive a "generic" to one of the moderators answer to "(appelez le support technique, réinstaller, faire une restauration complète de votre système, etc.)."   FYI... just noticed that there is an update of the VAIO Care software on the site eSupport for my laptop model. The update date 29/03/2011 and the version # is 6.4.0.15030. It is said in the release notes that it is supposed to contain a fix for the problems download Self Heal and Patch a lot of posters have had problems with. Hope it works.

  Now just waiting for Sony to issue an update/fix to the Vaio Update software!
