validation in adf

Hi am in jdeveloper 11.1.1.9.0 how can I do the following validation, I create my ViewObject as line filled programaticaly not to the query

Right now, you have two ratings running on the same ground. Who is running?

Blow an and work with each other.

Why don't you use the validation rules on the attribute?

    Michelle,

    I have good news. I was able to reproduce, locate and bypass your problem.

    The problem is the following:

    works very well in JSF pages, but it does not work in JSF fragments (which are part of a glued TaskFlow, what is included in a page parent as a ) because ADF when executing a miscalculation of the value of of 'for' - attribute when it is part of a region BTF. For example, suppose that the has id = "it1" (as it is in your JSF fragment above) and this TaskFlow defined in included as a with id = "r1" in a parent page. Then the internal ID of the input text field will be 'r1:0:it1', but at runtime, the framework will set the value of 'for' - attribute to the 'r1:it1' (which is wrong) instead of "r1:0:it1" (which is the correct value).

    You can work around this bug by specifying:

    Instead of

    in your code above. In this way the framework will make up the correct value for the 'for' - attribute at run time and will not work correctly. Don't worry the caveat against a non-existent ID in the JDev source code editor.

    You must do this trick only in fragments JSF and you should not do in JSF pages.

  • Do we not have any tab of the validations in ADF?

    Hello world

    Do we not have any tab of the validations in ADF?

    After something in the text field and immediately after being out of the text box that we can do some validation?
    Is this possible in the ADF?

    If Yes, then how?
    All suggestions will be really useful.

  • Validation of ADF to create the user form

    Hello

    I have used with success of validators ADF for forms of resources (unix user, for example).

    However, what I have to do now is to implement validators for the form user. Here's what I do:

    (1) open a self-service session, create a sandbox, go to users, click on 'create '.

    2) click Customize (after having filled in all the fields of the agent), Source, place you for example "inputText: User Login»

    3) Add Content, has chosen "Web Components", then "Input Text", click close

    (4) export sandbox

    (5) in the exported sandbox, go to oracle\iam\ui\runtime\form\view\pages\mdssys\cust\site\site\ and unzip userCreateForm.jsff.xml

    (6) the XML looks like this:

    <? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "UTF - 8"? >

    It should work. Also, make sure that the parent attribute value that is _xg_42 in your case is the id of the field on which you want to add a validator.

  • Number of Validation in ADF-Colombia-British

    I use 11.1.1.4 JDeveloper and ADF - BC in my project.
    In one of my pages, I displays a table and a form of Panel for the rows of the table in my page.
    In my Panel form, I have two fields ex: mining and maxAge.
    On line/save changes, I need to display a validation message that mining should be less than maxAge.
    I tried to use EntityLevel atrribute validation-> rule compares with less than the Viewobject attribute.
    But it doesn't work and it's always compares with the value of the first line only.

    How is this type of standard validation implemented in ADF - BC projects.

    Please suggest...

    Thank you
    Praveen

    Praveen,

    Use an entity-level validation, not an attribute of OS one. From there, simply compare the values of two attributes.

  • How to get a partial validation in ADF?

    Hello

    Here's the thing. I show a popup with the af:dialog tag. There is a view entity object in the pop-up window. I have enabled ok and Cancel buttons in the dialog box. If the user is available in captures any information and press button ok in the dialog box, the details should be saved temporarily (similar to the post in Oracle Forms & reports). This temporarily saved data should appear when the popup is invoked once more. Instead, if the user comes in and between all of the information and press Cancel button, the details should not be saved at all and should not appear when the popup is invoked again. I couldn't have used DBTransaction.commit since there are other objects of view involved. I guess you could understand the situation.

    Please suggest me a solution.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Vivek TS

    You can use the transitional View object and store the data you want in there and change running. Then, when you finlize the data in the view of the transitional object you can copy it to the real object of the view.

    Check this thread:

    https://community.Oracle.com/thread/3529357

    Visit this link for creating object View transitional:

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E16162_01/Web.1112/e16182/bcstatemgmt.htm#ADFFD1322

    It is the same way for the creation of the object from normal view, but select programmatic and don't forget to make the editable attribute always you will find this option in the new wizard view object

    / * do something...*/

    super.beforeCommit (transactionEvent);

    }

    Can someone explain to me why and help me with the solution. Thx a lot.

    This is probably related to database change notifications.

    Maybe you have enabled auto-refresh on this VO?

    In addition, postings in beforeCommit() method of coding is not very good practice: this is the 'overall' method so it is called for each commit on each page, and in some cases, this method can be called by framework: http://andrejusb.blogspot.ba/2013/03/coding-validation-in-adf-bc-view-object.html

  • Ignore the validation for required fields when you navigate to other tabs

    I have 2 tabs in my application. In the 2nd tab, I save a command button and the 3 required fields. I've added my validation to my managed bean method, for example:

    < af:inputText id = "MyField", validator = "{#myBean.validateField} ' < / af:inputText >"

    The validation works well.

    The problem is, as these 3 fields are required fields in my 2nd tab, so I left blank for these 3 fields and try to navigate to my 1st tab, I got validation of ADF error, saying: "you must enter a value.

    I don't even click the button Save, why I get the validation error.

    I tried to put SkipValidation = "true" in my page for my 2nd tab definition file, it does not work.

    Please advise and thank you.

    Hello

    I think that you should seek immediate ownership of your tab (showDetailItem or perhaps panelTabbed) and set the value to true.

    Hey and a more. and I've known on lov lov cascading and its blah blah dependent in the adf. so I don't know which links.

  • AF:table filter; ADF_FACES error date field

    Dear all,

    I have a problem with the validation of the date field found in the default filter of an af:table.

    If I enter characters in the text of entry date the above error is generated.

    Is it possible to put this text as read only as a way to prevent the validation of ADF?

    Hi all, finally I found the solution to this exception.

    I did the following steps to solve the problem.

    1. create a bean and use this method

    public void tooManyObjectsMatchExceptioHandeler() {}

    Add the code in the event here...

    System.out.println ("inside the Handeler");

    FacesMessage message =

    new FacesMessage ("Type your friendly message");

    message.setSeverity (FacesMessage.SEVERITY_ERROR);

    FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance ();

    fc.addMessage (null, message);

    }

    Now, drag and drop the file above java projects in data controls in the browser of the application.

    2. drag a workflow method call (where u get exception as Houston-25013) and call this method as an activity of the exception handler,

    Now, do a right click on this--> definition of the page method call create or go to definition of the page--> create a link Action method and select the above method in the select and file def page this method call in the workflow then go to properties inspector set out fixed property (here name of activities of method call) u give.

  • Ignore the validation of attribute in adf levels

    Hello, I use JDeveloper 12.1.3.

    I have a simple question.

    How to ignore the validation of the attribute levels in the adf, when I pass between tabs?

    I can't use immediate = true, because then I wouldn't be able to commit the changes.

    Thank you all.

    Concerning

    You can try to make the the showRequired = true required = false and carry them out manually, validation in your beans for each of the fields that you want to be mandatory.

    I had a problem similar to yours. I think (and I said) that it is not a good practice for autoSubmit = "true" in many areas. You even not the disadvantage that if you try to change the fields too fast that they be emptied... As well, the view is suspended for a second while submitting. This should be a no-no for forms with several fields.

  • [ADF, JDev12.1.3] Best practices for maintaining a form validation

    Hallo,

    in my application, I need to create a registration form which contains fields that must be validated (for example they should follow a format like e-mail, phone number, tax code,...).

    If the data inserted by the user are ok, a new record in my custom db table Users will be created.

    I would like to know which are the best practices for maintaining the validation, which means the place where the controls must be made and a message to the user who fills out the form when something goes wrong.

    The best vo or EO or managed bean? Or some controls should be put in the OS, others in the VO and other in the managed bean?

    I would be happy if you could give me some examples.

    Thank you

    Federico

    Assuming you want the validation on the value of the field to any screen data can be entered in (and possibly web services that rely on the same BC ADF) then put the validation on the definition of the attribute in the EO.

    If you want to add a little more friendliness and eliminate some of the network traffic to the server, you can also implement the validation client in your page - for example by using the regular expression validator.

  • ICX session sharing between EBS and ADF. Navigate from EBS page by page of ADF custom application. but every time I get the session as a GUEST, even if I give valid credentils to enter into EBS.

    Hello

    I am integrating EBS and ADF through sharing of session ICX. Navigate from EBS page by page of ADF custom application. but whenever I get session as GUEST (VALID_GUEST), even if I give credentials valid at the EBS system. I should get a valid session that I have connected with a valid user. As it it a VALID_GUEST that the status of cookie icx, back (he got newspapers/debug) and I am.  Comparing with status cookie VALID icx, so every time system opens the Apps login page.  I used fndext.jar to do this.
