Validation in ADF messages

Hi all

I use ADF BC, JDev11g. I use 2-3 entity objects. I need to replace the default ADF Messages and define new messages. Error, message, I defined should appear. Any aid granted to achieve this would be very useful.

Thanks and greetings
Jyothi

    Michelle,

I have good news. I was able to reproduce, locate and bypass your problem.

    The problem is the following:

works very well in JSF pages, but it does not work in JSF fragments (which are part of a glued TaskFlow, what is included in a page parent as a ) because ADF when executing a miscalculation of the value of of 'for' - attribute when it is part of a region BTF. For example, suppose that the has id = "it1" (as it is in your JSF fragment above) and this TaskFlow defined in included as a with id = "r1" in a parent page. Then the internal ID of the input text field will be 'r1:0:it1', but at runtime, the framework will set the value of 'for' - attribute to the 'r1:it1' (which is wrong) instead of "r1:0:it1" (which is the correct value).

You can work around this bug by specifying:

    Instead of

in your code above. In this way the framework will make up the correct value for the 'for' - attribute at run time and will not work correctly. Don't worry the caveat against a non-existent ID in the JDev source code editor.

You must do this trick only in fragments JSF and you should not do in JSF pages.

  • Validation of ADF to create the user form

    Hello

I have used with success of validators ADF for forms of resources (unix user, for example).

However, what I have to do now is to implement validators for the form user. Here's what I do:

    (1) open a self-service session, create a sandbox, go to users, click on 'create '.

    2) click Customize (after having filled in all the fields of the agent), Source, place you for example "inputText: User Login»

    3) Add Content, has chosen "Web Components", then "Input Text", click close

    (4) export sandbox

    (5) in the exported sandbox, go to oracle\iam\ui\runtime\form\view\pages\mdssys\cust\site\site\ and unzip userCreateForm.jsff.xml

    (6) the XML looks like this:

    <? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "UTF - 8"? >

    " < mds:customization version ="11.1.1.64.93"xmlns:mds =" http://xmlns.Oracle.com/MDS "motype_local_name ="root"motype_nsuri =" http://Java.Sun.com/jsp/page ">

    " < = xmlns:af af:inputText ' http://xmlns.Oracle.com/ADF/faces/rich "label ="Label"id ="e4300172496"/ > "

    < / mds:insert >

    < mds: change the item = "_xg_17" >

    < name mds:attribute = "label" value="#{bindings.usr_last_name__c.hints.label}"/ >

    < / mds: change >

    I change to

    <? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "UTF - 8"? >

    " < mds:customization version ="11.1.1.64.93"xmlns:mds =" http://xmlns.Oracle.com/MDS "motype_local_name ="root"motype_nsuri =" http://Java.Sun.com/jsp/page ">

    'Closed stream '.

"ADF_FACES-60097: for more information, see the error log of the server for an entry beginning with: ADF_FACES - Exception during the PPR, #27 60096:Server.

So, what is the correct way to implement ADF Validations in the form of the user to create, if not the case? And where would that be documented in the documentation of the IOM?

It should work. Also, make sure that the parent attribute value that is _xg_42 in your case is the id of the field on which you want to add a validator.

  • Number of Validation in ADF-Colombia-British

I use 11.1.1.4 JDeveloper and ADF - BC in my project.
In one of my pages, I displays a table and a form of Panel for the rows of the table in my page.
In my Panel form, I have two fields ex: mining and maxAge.
On line/save changes, I need to display a validation message that mining should be less than maxAge.
I tried to use EntityLevel atrribute validation-> rule compares with less than the Viewobject attribute.
But it doesn't work and it's always compares with the value of the first line only.

How is this type of standard validation implemented in ADF - BC projects.

    Please suggest...

    Praveen,

Use an entity-level validation, not an attribute of OS one. From there, simply compare the values of two attributes.

    Nicole

    Hi Nicole,.

    1. what changes have been made to your computer before this error message?

Follow these steps and check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:

I suggest you put your computer in a clean boot State.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you can go ahead and disable or uninstall the same.

Note: Put your computer in normal mode by following step 7 of the hyperlink after you identify the third-party application that caused the problem to occur

    Step 2:

It can also be caused by a virus, I wish that you run a full scan of the PC using your updated security software or a scanner using the Microsoft Safety Scanner.

I have windows 7 64 bit version and it is now installed and works very well with my client files old husbands and he is so happy.  What you need to do is put the CD in the drive and then go to windows Explorer and click on the D drive (or whatever your external drive) and look at the files that are on the CD.  Find the configuration file and click it.  Simple as Hello - it will install.  He just won "t install when you do it directly from the CD in.

  • Show a custom before validation on Form Message ~ ~ Custom.pll / Personalization

We have a requirement where we need to display custom before form validation using form customization message is or Custom.pll. I've tried a few things on VALIDATE to the relaxation TIME, is showing the message several times.

Personalization you cannot access to the events of validation, then you won't be able to use it for your condition.
A when-validate-record trigger fires for each new record was changed and so will be shown several times.

If you are using forms of MFC, you can capture the event VALIDATION POST-FORMS using the HRMS custom.pll.

    Otherwise, it is not possible.

    Hope this helps,

  • After validation in taskflow message display.

    Hi all
    I created taskflow as follows.

Action of CreateInsert-> template (page)-> Commit action-> CreateInsert (action)... This will repeat.

The validation works well. I want it is after Commit (action) I want to show popup or a message to the user that the record saved successfully.
I can add cycle 1 page between Commit (action) and CreateInsert (page), but I want the popup to be published in the same content page... So, how can I do this in taskflow...

    Santosh,

You can write a Java method that creates a new FacesMessage and then add it to the FacesContext (http://download.oracle.com/javaee/5/api/javax/faces/context/FacesContext.html). You could then add that as a method of activity call to your workflow.

  • Interactive validation report error messages...

    Hi guys!

I was looking for answer to this question for some time... is it possible to change the interactive report validation error messages?

    With respect,

    PsmakR

    Hello

There are validations more than you think. Anthony Rayner has prepared a good summary in a blog post [url http://anthonyrayner.blogspot.com/2010/08/apex-40-enhancements-validating-form.html].
You see in this post, where and how to disable the validations, but also, that you cannot disable all the. The only way to avoid all postings would be to implement yourself the report completely.
The good news is, you can replace these messages. The following documentation tells you how to:

  • Change the error ADF messages that pop out

    Hello once more

I created a Web page using the ADF technology that Jdev provides you with.

One of the things that is most useful is the error messages that will automatically eject if for example you leave empty field that must be completed. Or you type a value that is out of range, etc. The only problem with this is that while I can read English, some users in my country may not.

So my question is how can we change these error messages for my mother tongue? I can translate easy, but I don't know where to find the code that contains the text that they show.

If anyone can help Id really appreciate it

I'm guessing "Oracle JDeveloper Handbook" is the McGraw-Hill book published by Duncan Mills and Peter Koletzke Avrom Roy-Faderman:
    http://www.Amazon.com/Oracle-JDeveloper-11g-Handbook-development/DP/0071602380/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&QID=1279005819&SR=8-4

The 11g version of this book replaces the earlier versions, 10g, etc. 9.

As a general understanding JDev ADF & text it is recommended to read. As Michael says, I don't think it covers internalization, however.

There is a more advanced guide "Oracle Fusion Developer Guide" by Frank Nimphius and Lynn Munsinger:
    http://www.Amazon.com/Oracle-Fusion-developer-guide-applications/DP/0071622543/ref=pd_sim_b_1

This is a more advanced text not recommended for beginners, but recommended reading once you understand the basics.

Back to the original question in this post, internalization is covered in article 21 of the Guide Web ADF:
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E14571_01/Web.1111/b31973/af_global.htm#CHDGCAFI

If you are looking to customize the error ADF BC it is covered in the section of the Guide Fusion ADF 37.8:
