  I just tested the behavior of Dreamweaver CC open in browser window. It creates slightly different Dreamweaver CS6 code, but it works correctly. This is what is created in the HTML code:

  In regards to the _self and _blank not working do not, I find no problem with how Dreamweaver CC manages them.

  If this is the case, I think that it is perhaps a good idea to uninstall Dreamweaver. Before you reinstall, make sure that your personal configuration file has been deleted (see reinstalling Dreamweaver (or the extensions Manager) fails to solve problems). You should then have a completely clean copy of Dreamweaver has again the default settings of the program.

  Dreamweaver has no functionality built int to create a slideshow (there no Slide Show behavior for example), then you either have to get the code from a third party source, or write it yourself.

  The simplest script slideshow I met is jQuery Cycle2.

  HTML and CSS are the same new deal including the editor you are using.

  For example, you can migrate safely between versions.  However, the features that are available in one but not the other (Spry menus, for example), will not have the same level of support for Panel.  But you can work with the code.

• Dreamweaver CS6 version conflict

  I got creative cloud since it came out and love it. However, Dreamweaver CS6 in the following Creative cloud has no support for Coursebuilder exit to SCORM 1.2 and the apparent manufacturer, etc. So, I had to buy e-Learning Suite which includes CS6 Dreamweaver with Coursebuilder, etc.. However, after you downloaded and installed, there was a conflict between the two apparently. I was told to uninstall the creative cloud s/w, then run a patch for the Application Manager and re-download all the s/w. I did it. Now I am unable to start the Creative Cloud Dreamweaver version to turn it off because I was told to do. I get an error message and it refuses to start. At the moment I'm downloading a version track on Adobe.com. I see two problems here... it's most likely a problem of Adobe service between suites and it affects customers who need to make e-learning. I paid a great price just buying the extensions that I have to publish on SCORM. Now I have spent days trying to get the s/w to run even. I don't need duplicates of Flash, Photoshop etc I have as a result of Cloud and certainly no need of the Captivate unfinished and buggy. All the products I need are in the rest of the cloud, EXCEPT that I can't publish on SCORM. Does anyone know how to solve this conflict. The only thing I see is to run a second machine.

  The server for the browser widget was taken a few years back. It is no longer available and has been removed from later versions of the program.

  You can still get extensions from the page modules https://creative.adobe.com/addons Adobe or third-party developers however.

  I bought Dreamweaver CS6 but the serial number supplied with the box did not when I tried to register my product.  I bought Photoshop CS6 earlier and I was able to save it. The seller says that Abobe won't do that because everything is on subscription. Is this true?

  I installed Dreamweaver CC on my laptop (Windows 7 OS).  I am able to build new web pages using the checkerboard to fluid.  But when I try to open previously designed web pages that have been built using Dreamweaver CS6, Dreamweaver CC breaks down.

  I was told today in the cat, by Technical Support, it was a problem of compatibility between Dreamweaver CC and Dreamweaver CS6 (for grid of fluid).  This can be confirmed?  I have no problem to return and rebuild previously designed fluid grid of web pages.  I just want to know that there is no fix/work around available?

  Problem solved.  It lacked the brace "}" involving the Media Queries page .css.  (Please see my response to Arindam_G in the Discussion 'Crash Total (CC) on the attempt of fluid to create checkerboard!').

  Is it practice to consider connect my DW CS6 trial to an existing wordpress site, pulling down a local copy of the site, edit in dreamweaver (add a page, a few images, legends) and tem loading to back up the web server where she once more like wordpress? I got to the extent of my limit of danger having pulled down a local copy that has just about everything I see up on the web server.

  However try opening the local site, I am besieged with advice that I need to "discover things, etc. I overestimated the ability to wait for DW? Thank you

  Lol WordPress is filled dynamically the content stored in the MySql database as well as a laundry list of side include files server.  In short, there is nothing to edit in Dreamweaver.   Once your WP site is deployed to the server, you MUST use the WordPress Admin Panel to edit and maintain the content.  Otherwise, you will break the site.

  Feel free to use Dreamweaver to create a new web site or to customize a new WordPress theme.

  To the best of my knowledge, you can't. It's one of the drawbacks of the CS6 "perpetual license". You can use it indefinitely without additional payment, but its functionality will be still stuck in April 2012, when it came out originally.

  Is there an update for this?  I see that there is some version of cloud.  Are they only update that, and people who bought the CD are out of luck?
