Value of color box

Hi, what is the relationship between the value that comes out of the box color and the color selected in front panel as in the attached picture?

The value is relevant. Check the attached vi.

  • Random colors are too dark. Questions on the color boxes

    Hey all,.

    I'm trying to change the color of the plots on a graph of mixed signals remotely using the 'color box' which works very well. However, I'll also put squares of color to a color at random when the program starts first of all which is where my problem lies.

    What I am doing, is that I have a random number generator pumping a number then I multiply the number by 10000000, just to give me some brighter than the dark colors, and then I wired to I'm defining the random color on the color box control. The problem is that even if it does not the decent colors some colors produced are quite dark and difficult to see on the graph of mixed signals.

    I could make the graphic background a different color if I have to in order to see a majority of the colors coming out, but I would rather that have the colors come out on the side that is bright and colorful.

    So I have two questions for you guys and girls:

    1) how the colors of the colorbox get determined using the unsigned int 32?

    Such an example of why I'm confused, is that the number I had is 5726420 from the random number generator (+ multiplies), but under the control of colorbox RGB value is R:87 G:96 B:212. Why is this?

    2) there is any type of algorithm out there that someone did which can produce random values that will give the kind of colors neony? or whatever it is semi bright indeed?

    Any help is very appreciated!

  • System color constant color box

    Hello

    I want to know how LabVIEW manages the system color values in the case of a change of system. For example:

    I develop a VI on the 'A system' and choose the colour system of the 'window' to the constant color box. Now I run the VI on another "system B".

    From LabVIEW now the system color "window"System B"or retrieves a fixed value of time on 'System' of LabVIEW Development?

    Kind regards

    Christian

    It uses whatever colors are the system colors for the machine on which it is actually being run.  Use the colors of the system B.

    Same for fonts.  If you use all the symbolic as fonts dialogue, application,... and they are attached to the dialogue system fonts, application, menu (I could have these names wrong or mixed) through LabVIEW or .ini file "app" of the exe, it will use whatever windows are fonts.  This can cause problems for an application where the façade was based on an older OS size where the system fonts are different and smaller by pressing the app gets on a newer OS such as Win7 where the police are something else, but also larger by one or two points.

  • framed color box color changes randomly - with red, blue and yellow

    Hello

    I want the user to do something when the color box changes from black (ready) to green (together), then red, yellow or blue (go). The user wil know what colors come to them.

    The user will will push a specific sequence of buttons depending on the color.

    Success will push the sequence of buttons assigned to a specific color. There are 16 push buttons. (this is to recall and response time)

    In any case, I can write the program without problem.

    The user can test red (push a specific sequence of buttons according to red), then blue and yellow. I can get to repeat a color so they will make four tests.

    Sorry for being long-winded.

    My question is how I randomly generates a color to begin a trial.

    If this set of tests is unclear by the subject on go the color was presented randomly as a guest.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanking you in advance,

    NK

    If you have a fixed set of colors, put them in a table and generate a random number between 0 (Array Size-1) and an element of the matrix of the index. Multiply the random number (0-1), multiply by the rounded and maximum value at most closely to get your index.

    If you want to generate a truly random color, use the RGB color VI and wire 3 random numbers between 0 and 255 to generate a random red, green and blue component like this:

    Hello

    I wanted a color box to be used as a control so that when left clicked, there are 4 colors that they can select which will dictate what will do the program.  Currently, make a left click on the color box brings a variety of colors, and the only ones I can control are the colors of the "user", which I modified it to display only the four colors I want.

    However, the remaining color cursors and colors of history etc. are always displayed.  Is it possible so that only the four 'User' colors can be displayed by clicking the color box?

    Thank you.

  • Use the drop-down menu to set the value of check boxes

    Hello everyone, I am using a drop-down list field in a form to also check or uncheck the different boxes, based on the value. I'm looking for something like the following:

    f = this.getField (event.target.name) .value;

    g = this.getField ("Checkbox1");

    h = this.getField ("Checkbox2");

    If (f is 'Value1')

    {

    g.Value = true;

    h.Value = false;

    }

    on the other

    {

    g.Value = false;

    h.Value = true;

    }

    and so on. It works the way I want. This is probably a simple syntax or a thing of terminology. Can someone advise? Thank you!

    The value of the boxes is not true or false, but one channel (either 'Off' or the value of exports).

    You can also set the like this, but:

    this.getField("Checkbox1").checkThisBox (0, true); check one

    this.getField("Checkbox2").checkThisBox (0, false); to clear a check box

    Edit: fixed the code

    Hello, if your range variables are in the scope of your function (which is the case here) you need not pass them as arguments to your function.

    Then you can simply activate what wrote you in a function already and call on events, something like this:

    doIt() function

    {

    var

    targetWidth, numFolderItems, lineValue, ProjectName

    modifiedLayers = new Array(),

    numItems = app.project.items.length; collect the number of project items

    teamLogosFolderMov = locateProjItems (FolderItem, "teamLogosMov"), //Use CompItem for comps

    teamLogosFolderRaster = locateProjItems (FolderItem, "teamLogosRaster"), //Use CompItem for comps

    teamLogosFolderVector = locateProjItems (FolderItem, "teamLogosVector"), //Use CompItem for comps

    model,

    I, c;

    If (textBox.line03.text! = ' ': textBox.line03.text! = defaultText03) lineValue = textBox.line01.text + textBox.line02.text + "\r\n" + "\r\n", textBox.line03.text

    ElseIf (textBox.line02.text! = ' ': textBox.line02.text! = defaultText03) lineValue = textBox.line01.text + "\r\n" + textBox.line02.text

    else lineValue = textBox.line01.text;

    for (c = 1; c<= numitems;="" c++)="" if="" (="" (comp="app.project.item(c))" instanceof="">

    {

    for (i = 1; i<= comp.numlayers;="" i++)="">

    {

    case 'textLines_GD ':

    targetWidth = 1720;

    setTextLayer_caseSensitive (comp.layer (i), lineValue);

    projectName = lineValue;

    If (scaleTextLayer (COMP. Layer (i), comp.layer (i).sourceRectAtTime(1,_true).width, targetWidth)) modifiedLayers.push (comp.layer (i));

    break;

    case 'teamLogo_GD ':

    numFolderItems = teamLogosFolderMov.numItems; Get the number of items in the folder teamLogos

    swapTeamLogo (numFolderItems, teamLogosFolderMov, teamTri, comp.layer (i));

    break;

    default:;

    };

    };

    };

    myPanel.grp.buttonGroup.renderButton.onClick = needs;

    If instead you want to write a function that is independent from the UI variables, IE not dependent on variables of string, then you must pass these values as arguments:

    function must (text01 text02 text03, defaultText01, defaultText02, defaultText03)

    {

    same start

    get lineValue of arguments

    lineValue = text01; If (text02! = "" |) Text02! = defaultText02) {lineValue += "\r\n" + text02;}  If (text03! = "" |) Text03! = defaultText03) lineValue += "\r\n" + text03 ;} ;

    same end

    };

    myPanel.grp.buttonGroup.renderButton.onClick = function() {has (textBox.line01.text, textBox.line02.text, textBox.line03.text, defaultText01, defaultText02, defaultText03) ;};

    Note: I changed my computer var = app.project.items [c]; (does not work) to comp = app.project.item (c); and if (textBox.line02.text! = ' ' | textBox.line02.text! = defaultText03) (risky) if (textBox.line02.text! = ' ': textBox.line02.text! = defaultText03).

  • dynamic changes to decimal or text fill color box

    I already asked a question on how to programmatically change the background color of just the object checkbox box.  The code (which was working fine) was:

    xfa.resolveNode("form1.page1.cb.ui.#checkButton.border.fill.color").value = "255,255,0;

    Now, I need to do something similar for other types of objects.  In particular, I need to change the color of a decimal field and a text field.  I tried to find similar tags in the XML source that could give me some advice.  I tried the following (based on my review of XML) for the decimal field, but it did not work:

    xfa.resolveNode("form1.page1.cb.ui.#numericEdit.border.fill.color").value = "255,255,0;

    and

    xfa.resolveNode("form1.page1.cb.#numericEdit.border.fill.color").value = "255,255,0;

    No indication on how I'd change for the decimal and text fields?

    Thank you
    Emily

    Hi Emily,.

    You are on the right track. Check the XML source will highlight the syntax to access this property.

    Over time, I adapted the script to include collecting the SOM of the object and use it in the script. This way if the name of the object (or the name of the subform) is changed, so the script still works. The only thing you need to change is the reference of the user interface based on the object type.

    The numericEdit will work on decimal objects and textEdit will work on text fields.

    var vName = this.somExpression;
    var fieldObj = xfa.resolveNode(vName + ".ui.#textEdit.border.fill.color");
    fieldObj.value = "255,255,255"; // white

    /* Check the type of object and change the .ui reference:
         Date field =      #dateTimeEdit
         Dropdown =      #choiceList
         Checkbox =      #checkButton
         Text field =      #textEdit
         Numeric field =     #numericEdit
    */

    Good luck,
