Various computer problems - Windows 8 SONY VAIO

I own a SONY VAIO computer with Windows 8. Recently, I have corrected a problem with a temporary profile. When I had this problem I was getting at all times 'blue screen of death '. After you fix the problem, I noticed different types of malfunctions;
-J' still have the blue screen of death which says something along the lines of KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR and I know it has something to do with the RAM/memory. (I noticed that I usually get the screen when my computer is too overworked and that when he sat for a long time.
-L' computer gets very hot around the fan area.
-It crashes in a weird way. It does not freeze only when it is too overworked by opening things, sometimes very shortly, but when it happens it remains frozen for a long time.
-I don't know if it's just my imagination but the hard drive C: / / is half full for no reason. I checked most of the documents/music/pictures, which I entered the computer and they do not occupy so much space that the player shows. I tried to delete unnecessary files but the amount of GB remains exactly the same thing!  355GB is busy on 672 GB... I'm sorry, but how is that possible even if all my personal files don't even reach 40 GB? In addition, the 355 number changes over time even when I make no changes to the computer at all, the number rose to 354 while we're talking.
-J' installed an antivirus but it detects any problems.
I don't know if this is how laptops are supposed to work, or if I did / I am doing something wrong, but I would appreciate the help.
I know that this isn't a very specific problem, but I just started to use this laptop 2 months ago and I certainly don't think that it is a normal behavior.
I am ready for what it is, even if it is formatting the computer altogether in order to make it new, once again.
Any help is very appreciated,
Aggy.

Thanks for your quick reply Aggy88,

because the symptoms are similar to referring to the HW, but in the history of your laptop, we cannot assume any question of HW, the first thing you can try is a complete reset. First make a backup of your personal data, then open charm change of bar/setting/PC settings/general/remove all and reinstall Windows. During the reset procedure, you can ignore the window related to Bitlocker. When the system restarts during configuration to ensure that you are able to connect to a network and enter a valid Microsoft Account. If the system sounds works fine, first first navigate to Windows Update (charm bar, settings, settings, Windows PC update change) and manually check for updates. Don't forget to check the updates manually, because when you have a lot of them to install the system installs the first wave, restarts, and then manually check and install several times until you have more warning about new available updates. Follow this procedure and let me know if you face the same problem.

Kind regards

Easywin.

  • Cannot load Windows (Vista-Sony Vaio VGN-NS110E)

So I bought this computer off a friend for $50, knowing very well the problems she experienced. No im hoping I can get some help and do this thing running.

When I start the computer, I get a screen that says...

"Unable to start Windows. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.

    I have two options below...

Start the reboot system (recommended) - Insert windows instilation disk and restart... Well I don't have the instillation disk

Start windows normally - goes to loading with green bars screen and handle everyday if I let him

I downloaded this (iso 120Mo thing) vista recovery disk and he put in the computer and ran the startup of many times repair... 20 times or more.  the only thing I get is "system on the disk volume is damaged." it dosent have one

When I boot computer and press f8, I get a screen with many options... I can't load the safe mode, safe mode with networking, or safe mode with command prompt and any of the other options seem to give results.

When I start the computer and press f10, I get a disk read error occurred press Ctrl-alt-del to restart (done nothing doin it just stay on the same screen)

When I boot the computer and press f2 it evokes the thing of the bios I think and he tell me that I HAVE a HD 250 GB installed in the computer (which seems really odd because when in the Startup Repair and I click on the button "LOAD DRIVERS" I am able to look through the hd and see all the old files left there by my friend BUT HE DOES WATCH THE HD FOR) BE a 140 GB HD?)

    THINGS OF IMPORTANCE MAY BE:

He mentioned something about someone who replace the hd for him goin for the smallest 140 now 250 gb hd... but it seems strange that the computer is tell me 2 things different in 2 different places (250 GB in bios f2 thing) (140 in the button drivers load the Startup Repair tool) and MI is still able to browse the folders on the hard drive

    his display I have 3 drives c:local disk (140 gb) e:recovery(8.89gb) x: start (33.6 MB)

loading safe mode it gets stuck on this file crcdisk.sys for awhile and then just restarts the computer

IF THERES NOTHING ELSE I CAN SAY YOU OR I CAN TRY THINGS PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK... REALLY WANT THIS COMPUTER

EDIT-I TRIED ALSO REINSTALL IT WINDOWS OPTION AND ASKED ME TO ENTER THE PRODUCT KEY I DID USING THE LABEL ON THE BACK OF THE COMPUTER SIAD INVALID PRODUCT KEY AND IT AND I CHECK AND RECHECK IT SOME TIME... IT WAS JUST BUT NOT RETURN INSTALL ME WINDOWS AGAIN? //?????

    MODIFIERMODIFIER - DISBLED REBOOT FAILUER - HAD A BLUE SCREEN WITH A FEW _ ON THAT 'PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED' AND THEN IT INSIDE "* STOP: 0Z0000006B (0XC0000102, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0X00000000).

UNRESPONSIVE WORTH... FOUND A DIAGNOSTIC TOOL ON MY HD MANUFACTURERS SITE. IT SORTA UNDERSTOOD WHAT I NEEDED TO KNOW

NO. DRIVE FOUND ERROR/STATUS CODE: 0120

WHILE THEY INSPECTED THE SITE FACTORY AGAINST THIS CODE... I GOT THIS...

An unknown error occurred during testing. This may be an anomaly. Check the connections and repeat the test. If the error repeats, replace the drive.

HE RAN 6 TIMES WITH THE SAME RUSULT... SAME ERROR CODE

I HOPE THAT MY FRIEND KEPT HIS RECIPT FOR THIS DRIVE... AS LONG AS ITS ONLY BEEN 4 MONTHS SINCE THE DATE OF MANUFACTURE (FEB.8.2010 SHOULD OPEN UP TO KNOW WHICH DRIVE A LITTLE IT WAS :)) SO I IT DOES NOT MATTER IF IT WAS SOLD WHAT TO THINK OF THE DAY, IT SHOULD STILL BE UNDER SOME SORT OF WARRANTY ID)

  • Operating system not found - Windows 7, Sony VAIO

When I start my laptop, it gives the error operating system not found. I have a repair disc, a recovery disk and also a backup system image. I am able to do nothing, as the laptop does not go past this message. In the past, I used to get this error once or twice daily, but when I re-set with Ctrl + Alt + Delete, the system would begin. No critical errors were found in the Eventlogger. How to start the repair process?

Note  Some third-party programs or alteration of the disk can damage an MBR.

    (d) an incompatible partition is marked as Active.

    (e) a partition which contains the MBR is no longer active.

(If you use a mouse, point to the upper right of the screen, move the pointer of the mouse down and then click Search).

My computer has been equipmented with Windows XP Service Pack 1.  I was told to upgrade to Service Pack 2.  Now I don't see shortcuts or my taskbar on my desk.  How can I fix it?

If you're still under WinXP SP1, you could not possibly have a functional application of the antivirus installed or be fully patched to Windows Update. See...

  • Windows 7 / Sony Vaio random gel

my computer crashes randomly (screen upward, the fan spins, no keyboard or mouse control) when I press ctrl-alt-delete the fan slows down then that depressed and accelerates when released. It is the only answer that power forced down by holding down the button works / stop. It happens randomly while I'm watching a Blu ray or rest, with no program running (other than the substantive programmes) and everything in between. I got the Sony Tech Watch but no help... ideas?

Such things can be difficult to locate. Can be a number of causes of software corrupt to overheating or failing hardware.

    Somethings to try:

    1. Are there reports of errors in the event log that coincide with the gel, which can give clues?
    2. Try a scan for malware with free malwarebytes. (Download, install, update and run a full scan).
    3. Run a SFC/scannow to check some critical files of the OS.
    4. Run a disk error check
    5. Update your drivers for your system, esp the video, sound and if there are any blue-ray player. Check with the Sony for your PC since the last site available that they support.
    6. Do in a safe mode start or a clean boot (as a test)? Don't forget to return to normal operation after the test.
    7. See if Sony provides a way to check the operating temperature of the PC to see if its possibly overheating or a fan is malfunctioning. If they don't then consider using one of the many choices available as one of this batch maybe http://download.cnet.com/1770-20_4-0.html?query=pc+temperature&searchtype=downloads NOTE: I have not tried so can't recommend one or the other.

However, I guess Sony experts will be suggested some or all these. If they have not, then give them a try.
