• Second VCDX requirements

  I've heard that for a person with a VCDX who wants to get a second just VCDX present a design is required - no more defense.

  I'm just trying to clarify - is the VCIX for the second piece ALSO not required?

  For example, should someone who holds a VCDX VTC not pass VCIX-NV to get the VCDX NV?

  Yes it's true that if someone is a VCDX already so they don't have to defend each other (there is a limitation for people who have passed the VCDX NV for the route of the Expressway)

  In regards to another track, they will have to pass the two VCIX if they do not have a latest version (VCAP5) VCAP in this stream. If they both they choose or, if they have only one (VCAP5-DCA for eg.) while they're doing the review of design and then VCIX can present a VCDX VTC (to keep the examples) by passing the VCIX would give them the underlying Charges.

  To answer your example, I have VCDX-VTC but will have to pass the VCIX-NV before you submit the VCDX NV, but do not have to defend

  Hello friends, I started to work on the design to go for VTC VCDX certification. I already did with design and find out all the requirements and design, constraints, support of risk. I'm looking for a group that can work together with the other design review. This will prepare us to go for certification.

  According to the information given on this site Certification VMware: Cloud

  As the VCAP-CIA and CID VCAP certification exams have been removed and are no longer available, the VCAP certifications are no longer required for this specific certification.

  So after can completing certification VCP-cloud (VCP550) I directly ask VCDX-Cloud?

  YYes is correct and this is a temporary situation through the defenses of October and on VCDX5 only. After October during the liberation of VCDX6 and for 2016 based solely on defenses 6 version will be available and this waiver will no longer exist and VCIX will still be necessary. It's only for a limited time, it is not permanent.

• Design VCDX-Cloud example

  Someone at - it an example of a design VCDX-Cloud?  It would be useful to have a starting point to see what someone has done, another non-official or a skeleton / plans to build a.  Thank you!

  Once you have created and then send a tweet asking if anyone would be willing to review your VCDX design. I would choose people wisely but (normally you can tell by their profile/blog twitter link if they have a) that you do not want those who perhaps give bad comments or simply your design for themselves.

  I'm not saying you can't do it, but if you have never created a cloud design for a client then you may struggle to build a strong enough design, but read the action plan and vCAT and this should give you an idea of the level.

  As I said it is not there for people to see who is the most likely bid level is concrete projects and drawings of people want no one simply copying their design due to the work, they put in his building.

• Shortcut to achieve VCDX virtualization in the data center.

  I would like to know to achieve VCDX can choose path below to avoid to submit the design VCDX defense.

  VCP5-VTC > VCAP5DCA > VCAP-CID > VCDX - data center virtualization.

  Who currently hold VCP5-VTC & VCP Cloud. VCAP5DCA inprogress... hope it will pass soon

  Yes - actually if you want the VCDX Cloud you have to earn the VCAP-CIA and certification VCAP-CID before sit you for the VCDX defense according to the chart here - (VCDX-cloud) VMware Certified Design Expert-cloud.

  The other option is to pursue and get VCDX-VTC and when you pass the VCAP-CID cert, you will get the Cloud VCDX certification.

  Can you just use the SET commands as a guideline then change to the need as we would give to a customer? Curious about it and really don't want to screw it up, it's kind of a big deal

  You can use your existing documentation DEFINED as the Foundation, but in almost all cases, you need to add that to satisfy the criteria set out in the plan of defence VCDX Design.

This case study takes a type VCDX to approach listing considerations on design, constraints, requirements etc. I believe that this document is a good indication of which should resemble a design document and how it should be structured.   I was wondering if there are examples of the type of design documents used in the preparation of a VCDX application in order to get an idea of what the creation is all about? (only after things that are non-confidential / rules for posting please)

• Path to the vcdx certification

  I wanted to ask questions on the path to achieve vcdx and get some tips from some vcdx who came before.  Of course, it takes an extremelly large time commitment, planning, strategy and discipline.  I would like to have your advice on what you found useful with regard to obtaining this certification.  For example:

  1. the kind of workplace that lends itself better to the construction of this kind of knowledge.  It is better to work as a reseller, see multiple environments on a regular basis, as opposed to the administration of an environment?  As many vcdxs work for VMware, is there some helps you get VMware as paid training, resources and other "ins" extra time they invest to help people to get what may not be available outside?

  2. What are some guidelines for study / certification in other areas of knowledge that vcdx binds tightly to like networking, storage and other areas?  For example, you need the equivalent of knowledge of network level CCNP, EMC certified level of knowledge in storage management, etc.?

  3. What are the strategies for the practical difficulties of finding enough time to study a cert like this?  Are there companies that tend to pay for the duration of the training and classes more than others?  Are deprived of many vcdx advisors who can make their own hours and so can take 3 weeks off at will through the year to study for a test?  Helps be a VCT and teach classes all the time if you still have the knowledge before you for your hour 40 a job of the week instead of trying to make all of your studies outside of your regular work?

  4. don't vcdx candidates spend a lot of time answering questions communities to establish a knowledge base?  What other ways in addition to training and classes of reading books and laboratory at home a potential candidate must use to prepare?

  I certainly agree with the statement of André on the use of the partners.  He just opened the door to more opportunities for you.

  My experience with funding for certification and training was the opposite of what logiboy123 mentioned.  There were definitely cuts my business training after the economic benefits in 2008, but the best people still got the funding (it was just harder).  My company has been really good in my path to certification of funding and now pushes me more difficult to get my VCDX completed at the end of 2011.  I'm so target VMWorld 2011 in my design VCDX defense.

  The great thing about working for HPES (formerly EDS) is that in a short time, I had hands on experience with many clients in a variety of environments.  Each client had very different needs and I had very different solutions.  I even got in missions of VDI.  These sorts of fighting force you to get your hands dirty with the storage and network for each solution your build.  You also get very deep into the material.  For me it was blades HP and virtual connect solutions.  I think that each of them will greatly benefit me when I begin to assemble my VCDX application.  I'm now pushing my boss to get on another commitment when I start to design a new environment from the ground up so I can use it as the basis of my submitted design...

• What format of presentation is acceptable to the VCDX defense

  HI all, I'm interested, what format is acceptable to defence, is it possible to use my laptop to connect to the projector to present or is do print presentation, or?, the news will be good, and another question, I'm not a good English speaker and I prepare a few additional visio diagram which will help me to answer some question as am panelist is the acceptable form of ti to use the diagram?

  In my defense, I had to bring my own laptop with a powerpoint presentation, and they have just hooked up to a projector.  So you should be able to include everything you want.  That being said, you are not allowed to provide handouts.

  No anyone can join I guess. Not that it will be of no use if you do not do the certification. I can recommend the workshop however, it is useful, as it explains the process from a to z. and knowing John Arrasjid probably beyond Z.
