  I have my VCP5-VTC review on 9.12.2013. I was wondering if the version under review covers what's new in vSphere 5.5? What about configuration maximus - what is should I be familiar with?

  I asked my instructor for VMware, new courses and he said that VMware will ask the common thing between different versions (5, 5.1, 5.5). Is this true?

  Well, it's not reassuring. In my opinion, should be a clear statement from VMware that they understand the new version in review. This is especially important about maximus configuration.

  I just checked plan review and him I see not everything related to 5.5

• Pre - Req courses before registering for the workshop course for certification VCP5-VTC (confusion)

  I intend to attend examinations VCP5-VTC and all through vmware site I found to attend this certification, must complete one of the courses of training to get the pre - req certificate. One of the pre - req given on the site is "Trouble Shooting Workshop", when I checked the details for this course, it is said below pre - req.

  Prerequisites include completion of one of the following:

  • VMware® Certified Professional 5 - virtualization data center (VCP5-VTC)

  • VMware vSphere: Fast Track [V5.1]

  • VMware vSphere: optimize and scale [V5.1]

  Administration and knowledge equivalent • experience with ESXi and vCenter Server

  Experience with the work on the command line is strongly recommended

  I need to know if I'm not VCP5-VTC and also did not attend the Fast Track or optimize and scale, I can't save for the course of the workshop? I must firstly fill Fast Track OR optimize and only then I'd register myself in over course "Workshop" scaling?

  Technically, anyone can book themselves on the workshop, but the advanced/content issues are not really suitable for those who meet these prerequisites listed - those who do not know how what is fast track and Optimize classes & scale would have difficulty with the workshop.

  You don't HAVE to be a VCP5 VTC either, but if you are then you will be at a level equivalent to a person who did the FT/O & S classes - that's why certification is listed as an alternative condition, as well as the "equivalent knowledge and experience.

• Upgrade VCP510-VTC at VCP6 VTC certification

  I got my certification VCP 510 on 14 may 2014. (expires May 14, 2016)

  What I have to reach 550 VCP Delta review first, or I can directly take the consideration of delta/beta VCP6.

  VCP550D is necessary for you to keep your current VCP5 VTC to take one of the VCP6-VTC exams without also having to be trained, so as long as you plan to upgrade to VCP6-VTC by may 2016 you can ignore VCP550D.

• Recertification VCP4-VTC at VCP5-VTC

  I'm about to start my recertification because I have time until March 10, 2015 for that.

  There is an option for the exam VCP510 or VCP550.

  Could someone tell me what is the best approach for this renewal of certification?

  If I take VCP510, I will be eligible for an additional upgrade directly to VCP6 when it's available, or I would need first put to VCP550 and then to VCP6?

  VCP510 and VCP550 provide the same certification, the VCP5 VTC.

  They prepare you for the future.

  VCP510 is based on vSphere 5.0/5.1

  VCP550 is based on vSphere 5.5

  How to book review VCP5-VTC?  I'm on the train, and I think it means that I have a way to be able to do the review.  I was told that I can't do the review, unless I follow training.  What is the cost of the review too?

  I guess you're new to VMware/certification exams. You have a choice of 2 exams which you can take - VCP510 is based on vSphere 5.0/5.1, and VCP550 is based on vSphere 5.5.

  You are very well - the web page is usually updated to show the latest version of the class.

  You can take exams VCP510 or VCP550 - VCP510 is based on vSphere 5.0/5.1, while VCP550 is based on vSphere 5.5 - submitting a review you will win the same certification VCP5-VTC.

  I assume you mean to "qualify" as you were trained on vSphere 5.0 or 5.1.

  The minor version of your training has no influence on which exam you can take — you can take now to VCP550 (less the D) which relies on vSphere 5.5.

  From VCP550 is by far the easiest option for you to have passed an examination certification on vSphere 5.5.

  But the title of your certification will tell VCP5-VTC regardless of whether you pass VCP510, or VCP550, or VCP510 followed by VCP550D.

  Yes... VMware has added VTC - just to differentiate different VCP tracks available as I told you on my previous post.

  Yes, but 5.5 subjects is available only on the second edition of the book.

  To answer your question, yes you will have to follow a course of qualification - and the exam - in order to get a certification. The complete requirements and courses are listed here: (VCP5-VTC) VCP-Data Center Virtualization based on the background you shared, you would follow path 1.

  I would like to know how VMWare to approve my request for review with control of the pre - requisites.i past VCP510-VTC, will I get the certificate if I completed the required course [VMware vSphere: what's new [V5.x] training (two days, version with instructor)] or I have to retry the exam after completion of the training.   I would like to ask some questions about the program VCP5-VTC.

  (1) I must first of all win the VCA - VTC cert goes prior to the VCP5?

  (2) is the mandatory VCP5-VTC course?

  On the 2nd question, I don't have enough money for the course so I can entirely rely on self-study since I was 10 years of experience in the information TECHNOLOGY sector, I really can't go to class. I have all the gear necessary for my practical training.

  Yes its need.

  And NO, they won't ask you for evidence. You can take up the certification even without authorized VCP course but your certification will be complete and you will not receive a certificate until you have completed the training.

  Think of it as a two-step process to obtain certification. Even if it is not completed, you will not be done.

  With the new test covering 5.5, it is more "agnostic."  If you plan to take the new exam you must specifically study 5.5.  If you have taken a course 5.0 or 5.1 to be eligible for the examination, you should find all the information of "What's New" is 0-class especially for 5 participants, who will see the most difference and you'll have to read the "what's new for 5.1 and"what's new for 5.5 Articles. "

  I need certifications in virtualization data center and Cloud computing, what are the areas that I am currently doing. Already certified VCP5-VTC.

  I came across articles saying vCloud Director is no longer a standalone product and it has been integrated with vCAC.

  1 - is this average vCloud Director certifcation VCP-Cloud does not add much value to the profile now?

  2. are there official certification for vCAC?

  3 is vcap5-DCA has a real demand in the market as VCP?

  I need your thoughts/Advisor, to spend my time in relevant courses/certifications.
