• Problem updating existing Playbook - failure-104 Android app

  I signed a new version of my Android apk file and to prohibit the converted file. I use the Eclipse plugin to do this - Blackberry tools-> sign to the Blackberry World. So, no mistakes here.

  I downloaded the new versions several times and this is the first time I have problems.

  I compared the manifest of the last bar of file with manifests of all older versions of files bar. All names and IDS are the same in all files, - the package name, package id, package-author, version of package-authod-id number, name of the application, the application id, are incremented.

  The only difference I noticed is that in the last manifesto for 'Archive-created-by' is 'Apk2Bar version 1.6.0. All previous manifestos have value 'Blackberry BAR package v1.4'.

  What it means and it can be a cause of update of the question I have?

  I must say that I always use the same way to sign by Eclipse and that if I have already uninstall the Playbook application - installation of the new version is perfectly fine. Is just updated that is not working.

  I don't want to publish on Blackberry World because it is until I found what is the cause of this problem.

  The error you see is an incompatible certificate error being reported by Android (INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_INCONSISTENT_CERTIFICATES = - 104).

  Have you changed your signature Android keystore since you last deployed your application? You can try to remove the previous version of the application on your playbook first and try to redeploy.

  Have you checked RenameLeaf and RenameLimb system preferences?  I think that by default, only the administrator can change the name of the node, but you can grant this possibility of additional roles.

  APEX uses internally the Worskspace ID, not name. If the only code that is affected is your code that uses the workspace name!

  It teaches you how to change a file path programmatically according to the date that the data acquisition; It also uses a State of the machine do.

  This way you will have only one file per month even if your VI works with non-stop for 5 months straight...

• The file names changed in wingdings, including the file extension and I can't delete, change them, open, etc. Here are the pictures.

  Have (had) a file with multiple files it contains with pictures in each file.  A week ago the pictures were there.  Now, the names are replaced by wingdings as names and file extensions.  When I try to open it, it is not accessible and that the file name, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect.  When I try to delete it, it says that the file name you specified is invalid or too long and specify a different name.  When I try to rename it, it tells me that if I change the file name extension, the file may become unusable.  If I try to change anyway, it says I've specified file name is not valid or too long.  Only tried for the name 1.  I did a restore in the case where a program interfered with that.  However, nothing has changed.  All of the suggestions.

  If you have Vista Basic or Premium of Vista, you don't have a shadow, but there is a free program for you that does essentially the same thing called Shadow Explorer: http://www.shadowexplorer.com/.  I suggest that you download and implement as soon as POSSIBLE to protect you if you accidentally delete or modify a file.  It will not help you in this instance, but it can help save the next time.

  I'm more concerned about why this has happened in the first place and prevent it from happening again.  I saw file names change before, but never of wingdings which then do not let you open, edit, delete, or rename.  We will check some of your system files: go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

  Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.  If you find any these corrupted files, try to post them here.  Maybe we can replace the good files on the disc.

  While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  It will scan and try to solve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a cause.

  If this does not work, then please post repetitive errors in Event Viewer about the name change (Start / Control Panel / administrative tools / Event Viewer).  Here's how to use Event Viewer: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic40108.html.

  If this does not work, you will need to do a repair/system upgrade using the Windows Vista Installation disc authentic (you own or that you can borrow from someone).  Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html as well as the upgrade from an earlier version of the Windows section of the following: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918884.  Although this will not affect your data, settings or programs, you should always back up your data before you start just be on the safe side. If other procedures do not work, it is almost certain to work - but it will probably not fix your renamed files.  You can have a lot of updates to re - install (including all you need to remove service packs).  If the version on system with SP1 or SP2 preinstalled cane and the disc is an earlier version, then you will need to do a slipstream drive as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/151606-vista-sp1-slipstream-installation-dvd.html.

  I need to write a user interface application based for playbook that needs to interact with C++ code

  an existing application of the playbook.

  I was wondering what would be the best option

  #1 develop the user interface using native C/C++ SDK - interface with C++ application code

  #2 develop the user interface using native Java SDK - Java interface for my C++ application

  #3 develop the UI using AIR - use a feature of the NDK to interface with C++ library code.

  Option #1 seems straight forward. Option #2 and #3 might need an interface to call a C++

  methods of Java or AIR.

  As I'm new to developing Playbook applications please let me know what would be the best option.

  The PlayBook has no support for Java outside the Android player, resulting in applications with a feeling distinctly not native.

  However, AIR has an interface fairly good native extension let's you call native code. AIR also has a current user interface infrastructure which is very good.

  The native SDK currently has no native toolkit UI and will not be until the release of Cascades. So if you design your user interface with the native SDK, you will need to bring your own UI toolkit. You'd probably want to focus on Qt.

  So, unless you are already a Qt or willing developer to wait for waterfalls you probably want to do UI in the AIR.

  It all depends on if you are looking to the future as EPMA will die slowly, most of the new features is pushed to the classic, but I understand, it can be quite a big change.

  If you are going to stick with EPMA then you should really create the ASO application in EPMA and try and use some features shared dimension to enjoy.

  Earlier this year, we have created a multi-folio for a client application and it is available in the app store. We are working on the updating of a folio in the multi folio and have difficulties to test updates before they go live.

  We have transferred the files through Folio Builder under the same ID as the original folio was built. A private time has been selected, the folio direct since the app store was removed from our iPad and was no longer available for download.   Once the revised files are uploaded through Folio Builder, we can connect to Adobe Content Viewer to review updates but the content viewer is not always a perfect finished product representation (ex: videos).

  We have an application multi-folio as well and we test in the Adobe Content Viewer application. You can either sign with your publishing Adobe ID and it will appear or share the folio in InDesign with a different Adobe ID if you prefer.

  There is no integrated case that will capture this.  The virtual machine has the dns name property that can be extracted from the db, or using one of the vi toolkits.  You can run gets against these data and validate it against the previous value, but no direct case is only triggered when the host inside the virtual machine name is changed.
