  • (BB10) Label multiline

    Hi all!

    I tried to return a label multiline without success.

    There were methods 'multiline' and 'wordwrap' before, but they aren't there now, so I can't force a label field to be multiline.

    When you extend there is a 'isMultiline()' method, but cannot find a way to put it.

    Any idea?

    Use:

    this.label.maxLines = 5; or what ever

  • Ability to vertically Center the slide show?

    Hi people!

    I'll build a static website header and footer for the homepage. I only put a slide show as a homepage. I would like to make it between the footer and header no matter what the user's screen size/resolution.

    Now, what I can achieve is to keep the same distance between the top of the slide show and the lower part of the header, but it is not possible to make it move as the screen resolution or browser window size changes.

    Is there a way to do this in Muse?

    Please do not hesitate to ask me to re explain because I do not know if I'm quite clear on this one...

    Thank you very much!

    There is no way to do it at all. Browsers have a bottom edge to calculate the vertical center.

  • Vertically Center an image in a div

    I tried centering a selection of images in a "main content" div, their formats vary, some will be portraits and of other landscapes so margins and filling do not work.  I have a table of inches who do this using text alignment center and auto margins in my css, and it works very well.  I have centered the photo in a table cell unique to help align Center and vertical align middle in the 'main content' div but when I try this without the table using css (text align auto center and margins or text centering and vertical align middle) it is well centered horizontally, but vertically aligned to the top. Can you tell me why this is and how without table?  If you go to http://tinyurl.com/4g6vnkg you will find a page to view the source, if you then replace the file test.html by css/commercial3.css you also have the style sheet.     Thanks Chris

    Hello Chris,

    Here is a link I have, I have downloaded the page on my server. http://www.patrickjudson.com/example/example.html

    I also reworked the code, there are a few mistakes that I made. The removal of text must have a negative value.

    This method works for IE 6 upwards. Personally I do not make or support IE 5 and below.

    Example: text-indent:-10000px;

    This simple post the text out of sight, the text is there but just out of sight. Now, is there a way to display the text if images are disable or not available on a device, but is a little advanced.

    To answer your question: when you use links, you add a title, a tab index and access key for accessibility, if you wish. The user using assistive devices will get the title of the link. You can add a descriptive title for each link. The same applies if you add images to the div.

    I'm a little confused by your post?

    But whatever rocks your boat is cool also.

    Thereafter.

    Thank you Patrick who responded to the questionnaire,

    I've been playing with it all day, I was initially interested in the 'main content' div on the right, but I would like to come back later for inches.  If I understand correctly, you are unable to center an image in a div just like this but you can center in the cell of a table as I did in the table of an inch on the left and the big table single-celled simple on the right.  However, you can vertically Center an image only as an IMAGE of background directly in a div, correct?  Is this image & alt text visible to a search engine that the address field is in the brain?  ('visible' in contrast to spry where images stay in the folder)  You can see the change @ http://tinyurl.com/4elwfjb css has not changed, the single cell table has been removed and a style has been added to the head.

    This page has been generated from a model and there will be a lot, the only difference between them is this large image in the div on the right, I don't want to focus each image on each page, so the style would be written in the model but must remain editable. Each image would be responsible for the css palette in the head rather than in the div. of main content as I understand the law of that party, I have a few questions about the stacking of thumb.

  • Design of the Vertical axis labels

    Hi all

    I am a newbie to Flex and has difficulties with a BarChart, where the vertical axis labels are small enough to be almost unreadable. I would like to increase the EIS of the labels, while keeping the overall size constant.

    I've added an AxisRenderer to the vertical axis and specified a styleName with a fontSize 10. The effect has been to reduce the size of the labels even more! (In fact, the mere presence of the AxisRenderer without a specification styleName was sufficient to cause this additional reduction). Later, I defined a color in the style just to check that the style has been applied (if only partially).

    Is there a better approach for dimensioning of the axis labels? I'm using BF 3 Beta 3. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

  • Custome ItemRenderer - Vertical Center for label

    Hello

    I extend the LabelItemRender.

    I have a label called labelCategory.

    It is set to multiline and wordwrap.

    I am also from the override of the method of layoutContents and adjustment: labelCategory.y=(unscaledHeight-labelCategory.textHeight)/2;

    It works fine when there is only one line of text.

    When there are two lines of text, it is off by 2 or 3 pixels.

    Maybe it's the maximum height for rendering and it clips the label, not sure.

    The extent of substitution, I put:

    measuredHeight = Math.max (labelDisplay.textHeight, labelCategory.textHeight) + TEXT_HEIGHT_PADD ING + 10;

    TEXT_HEIGHT_PADDING is 4.

    How can I Center the vertical labelCategory even when it is 2 lines?

    Thank you.

    Measure and layout multiline text can be tricky.  I would say looking at IconItemRenderer how it for her (check out layoutContents() and measure()) messageField.

    Also, it seems that you are the size parameter and the position of the elements through the properties of x, y, width, height, but you should use setElementSize() and setElementPosition().  This will result in better performance by avoiding unnecessary available (set before the position size) passes.  It is a best practice for converters element ActionScript that inherit from the LabelItemRenderer class, but also ActionScript skins that inherit from the MobileSkin class.

    Can you tell me the docs where you got this code example of?

  • Vertically Center a LabelField several lines on a screen

    Hello

    I am trying to vertically align a LabelField several lines on a screen.  This turns out to be more difficult than it should be.  I am calculating the upper margin of the LabelField with:

    int topEmptySpace = (Display.getHeight() - label.getPreferredHeight()) / 2;

    label.setMargin(topEmptySpace, 15, 0, 15);

    It works, but only if the text in the LabelField is a single line.  When it becomes multi-line, getPreferredHeight() value does not change, and therefore the LabelField is not perfectly in the Center.  I saw a couple other posts about it, without a solution...

    Thoughts?  Thank you!

    Because getPreferredHeight is just a suggestion. A field can know its peak that it is laid out. It is too late for setMargin (in general - there are all kinds of tricks). Fortunately, you can easily calculate the actual height your aura LabelField - multiply its getPreferredHeight by ( + 1). Unlike many other text fields, LabelField never Word encapsulates and respect only line breaks.

  • Label multiline in CustomListItem

    Set multiline to true in my tag is not working (there is just a single line). Is there anything else I need to do?

    CustomListItem {
        dividerVisible: true
        Container {
            Label {
                text: ListItemData.title
                multiline: true
            }
            Label {
                text: ListItemData.pubDate
            }
        }
    }

    If you want to the first label dynamic rather than fixed height, you can set a minHeight for the container and then set the autoSize.maxLineCount.  Something like:

    listItemComponents: [
        ListItemComponent {
            CustomListItem {
                Container {
                    minHeight: 200.0
                    Label {
                        text: ListItemData
                        multiline: true
                        autoSize.maxLineCount: 2
                     }
                     Label {
                         text: "Second line"
                     }
                 }

  • [SOLVED] Headers of columns (horizontal and vertical) Center

    Hello.

    I use JDeveloper 11.1.1.7.0

    I need to center headers of columns (horizontal and vertical), a < af:column... > classic within a < af:table >

    It is very important that one header is centered. The content could be left, Center or right-aligned.

    I tried this solution to another thread (alignment of the column header in the table of the ADF in the Center), but it does not work:

    <f:facet name="header">
        <afh:rowLayout>
            <afh:cellFormat halign="center">
                <af:outputText value="column header"/>
            </afh:cellFormat>
        </afh:rowLayout>
    </f:facet>

    Any suggestion? Thank you

    The solution is for JDev10g.

    Have you tried the alternative

    Set the align of af: column in the Center, it aligns the header and the data at the same time in the Center, if you only want the header to the Center, the inlineStyle value ' text-align: left;' in addition to the align property

  • How to vertically Center the text in its container

    If a button or a piece of text, I don't see any way to center the text you type * vertically * in the container.  I'm not talking in the item box.  I mean just the text element itself.  If I size a text box and start typing in it, I should be able to say centered vertically.  That's what I'm looking for anyway.   Help much appreciated.

    Text items cannot be centered vertically as they are not containers. However, you can fake that a very big little thanks to the row height. But this means that if you have a text that spans two lines it would be very remote however

  • Is it possible to VERTICALLY Center a symbol?

    Hi all.

    Im just a beginner on adobe edge and all that I can say is: GREAT TOOL

    However, I have limits, especially in the Center objects.

    I have centered a symbol HORIZONTAL, but I need to center it VERTICALLY too.

    How can I do this?

    All the apreciatty you sick answer.

    Hi, in this way?

    1: create the new symbol

    2: add items to the coast. -ex: circle with a radius of 50, the top of the page:-50, on the left:-50 (adjust the 'centre')

    3:set the symbol pos. top: 50%, to the left: 50%

    In this regard, pos of the symbol is at the center of the parent prim.

    Instead, if you want centered stage to the browser window.

    You can calc $(window) .height () & set the css $("Stage").

    var stageHdl = $('#Stage');
    var centerTop = ($(window).height() - stageHdl.height())/2|0;
    stageHdl.css({margin:'auto',top:centerTop});

    Thank you.

  • How can I text perfectly vertical center with different font sizes

    Hello

    I have a frame:

    http://www.Flickr.com/photos/82397830@n03/7960870684/

    I tried a vertical centering by defining block of text Options > vertical Justification > Align: Center, but my text is not always get centered vertically. When I put in English words instead of Hebrew ones Gets the text vertical centered.

    There is a sort of invisible box around characters in a font. The measures of the frame of the lower part of the characters below the baseline (such as p or j) to as high as high as the tops of the Capitol letters for diacritical marks such as umlauts and accents. Given that most of the characters are not completely going toward the highest handle or down to the lowest decender, it may seem that the text is not centered between the two vertical points.

    If you need the text to be centered exactly, you can cheat it by applying the vertical offset, but keep in mind that if you change the text, you may need to adjust the amount of vertical offset again. You can use the vertical offset for the text itself, or change text frame options and change the Baseline Options. Also, in your screenshot, I see you have rounded edges on your block of text. The vertical justification works on rectangular text blocks, it's why that doesn't work.

  • Impossible to vertically Center the text in the rectangle with rounded corners

    Hi, I use InDesign CS4 on my Mac.  I want to confirm if it is possible or not to Center vertically the text in a rectangle rounded.  So far, it seems that if I change the corner on a rectangle options, InDesign will change the vertical justification to the top of the alignment page.

    Someone else has done this successfully?  Thank you!

    You need to change the inset to match or exceed the rounding RADIUS.
