  After review of this topic, I realized a solution.  So I hope that someone in my situation can benefit in the future!

  * A brief summary, I had an interactive PDF application where multiple pages are "generated" when some options (check boxes) are selected.  When the items are deselected, I needed a way to get these pages on the document.  Research of the approach of the nth Word worked, but it is become very slow, especially as the PDF has grown larger.  The approach below you will remove the pages having engineered very quickly a document based on a button/field value and can be adjusted accordingly.

  As follows:

  1. Somewhere in the document (not on the template, unless you make sure that the domain names are static when created) create a field text and format to store the numbers with decimal places to zero .  It's your container (so, for example, I named it CHES container).
  2. Then go into the model that needs to be created at a later date. In the page toolbar, right click on your model page and go to properties > Actions
  3. For select trigger, choose "Open Page"; For select Action, choose "Run a Java Script"
  4. Paste and modify the following script:

  5. This action will say your model page, when, created to identify its own page number and place it in the "container", which once again, for me, is called "CHES container.

  6. click OK and click on the button (checkbox etc.) that will trigger the removal of these specific pages.

  7. go in field properties > Actions.  For select trigger choose "Mouse Up"; For select Action, choose "Run a Java Script"

  8 paste and modify the following script:

  If the question is limited to PEF File Format, then you may have to check the size of the images as. PEF files are image format of high resolution that may take more time to load compared to other image formats.

I'm the last side connections to the same remote workstations using a windows on the excellent work of the RDP client and client and server versions. No performance problems. I'm a bit at a loss as to what could be the issue.

  Context menus in Office remote work quickly but running programs, opening and closing of windows, etc. is very slow. No conflicts or hogging on the remote system, nor the client resources.   My family uses 2 iMacs (1 2013, 1 earlier) and an Apple Powerbook at home. 2 iMac is incredibly slow, but the speed of the Powerbook is fine. IMacs both have a lot of unused storage and memory and I completely restored two iMacs and deleted unnecessary files, but they are very slow. I have everything back up on Dropbox and wonder now if the slowness is something to do with the combination of the signal at high speed and by using several connections of Dropbox in the House.  We have a Virgin Media Hub Super 2ac with advertised broadband router of up to 150 Mbps. I made a speed control using www.speedtest.com and the download speed is 105.81 Mbps and download speed is 9.70 Mbps. Any ideas anyone?

  for three years, I never had any problem with my Mac. Now, all of a sudden, from one moment to the other, it runs very slowly. Also, I have to force every time you start the Mac with pressing the button for a few seconds.   you have 4 GB of RAM that can be demanding on the system regardless of suggestion of apples El Cap with run with 2; It will be, but do not expect to use the computer for a large part to start the system.

  also you run bit torrent, any software you get this service is suspect.

  My 27 Imac late 2009 became very slow - I think especially after I've upgraded to El Capitan. Otherwise, everything in the computer works perfectly and I m using only 200 I have the 1 TB. Onyx and other tests can't find anything wrong. I mainly use my computer for word documents and to manage his photos about 30 000. The internal memory is 2 x 2 GB. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I could do to speed it up? Thank you.

  I wish I had an answer, but all I can do is rather echo to your problem. I have a 19 mid-2007 "iMac, contributed to the maximum with the RAM, 1 t disc hard less that half full, who did the same thing - he has worked with El Capitan until I updated to the latest version. Once that has happened the machine became so slow as to be unusable. It would take ten or twelve minutes to record a mouse click. When I restarted the machine, it took 32 HOURS to start (Fortunately it isn't my main Mac production).

  Last week, I tried all the remedies of common sense - by removing unused software, keeping an eye on the activity monitor (there is nothing fancy here), etc. Finally, I did all the stuff start, PRAM, run utilities disk (no noted problem) and even tried to reinstall El Capitan to a bootable USB I did with my first Mac, the reinstall, but seemed not 'take' somehow - he wanted to repeat the installation procedure again and again.

  I use the little Mac for Internet, e-mail and (as Karlis2) deal with some of the oldest pictures in my files - I'm sure that I have pictures on Time Machine, so I'm not too worried about it, but this was the first Mac way back in the day, I bought with my money and I'm a little sentimental on and would like to resurrect if possible... I wonder if there is a way to restore the operating system to an earlier version and it would make a difference?
