vGPU, being not recognized in Windows (but visible of all kinds in the Device Manager with!)

Hello

I hope I found the right place to ask this question.

Im trying to configure with network cards K1 on esx vGPU 6 and windows 2008 R2.

I managed to get the GPU passthrough works fine but I want to continue vGPU (last n more)

That's what I've done so far.

Installed esx6 on Cisco UCS C240 M4 (CPU value high performance max flow and mem)

installed the last grid VIB Manager

i.e. esxcli vib software install - no.-GIS-check-v /vmfs/volumes/ISO/vib/NVIDIA-vgx-VMware-346.27-1OEM.600.0.0.2159203.x86_64.vib Result of the installation: Message: operation completed successfully.

NVIDIA-smi reports 8 x 4gig GPU

Using the vmware webclient service, I create a virtual machine and assign it a profile of vGPU (180 in this case). He tells me that I have reached the maximum number of devices of this type (google was not helpful about this message).

In the vSPhere console, I see a PCI Device 0 added to the new virtual machine, it is said he has not supported with a note saying "this virtual device type is supported but support it is not supported on the current host... »

When I install windows on this virtual machine, I get a yellow! on the standard VGA graphics card with error device cannot start Code 10. Any attempt to install NVidia drivers cannot complain that it cannot detect the graphics hardware.

The thing is, I'm sure I got this work before, but now it feels like Ive hit some limits as suggested by the message "maximum number of devices.

I tested using vmware 5.5 and 6.0 tools

Any suggestions aside from just rebuild again?

Hmm, it seems that the comment on the unsupported PCI device may be an effect to use instead of the web client vSphere client. I created a new virtual from Windows 7 machine and used the provided in the package VIB of nvidia driver and it worked. In the console PCI device said still not taken in charge. I will try to update the driver in our w2k8 server now.

Update: Yes, it seems that I used the wrong driver package. It seems that I can have tried to use another driver which I suppose was for use with vSGA or pass through.

nothing to see here, move along

    Hi David

I ve checked your other assignments created here in the forum and it seems that you are an owner of Equium A100-027 PSAAQE series.
    Am I wrong?

First of all, I would like to clarify a few things.
Especially the yellow exclamation points appear in the Device Manager because anything could go wrong during the driver installation procedure or you have used everything simply a bad drivers.

I think you first need to know if you have used the correct drivers!
Please go to the page of the Toshiba driver and check again the driver versions and download again.
I noticed that many users download the bad drivers and try to install it.

On the Toshiba page, you will also find installation instructions. There are 2 txt files.
One for XP and one for Vista.

Please make sure you use the appropriate for the good OS installation instruction.
Download all the drivers, then follow the order of installation mentioned in the txt file!

Normally, everything should work ok and you should be able to install any drivers!

    Best regards

  • Stor.e slim not recognized by Windows 8.1

    Hello

A Stor.e slim external HARD drive is not recognized in Windows 8.1 (no problem with Windows 7). When it is plugged in, it s shown as a device not recognized. Driver is requested but not found.

    Hello

Stor.E Slim external HARD drive is a 2.5 HDD USB 3.0 and 900mA power it requires to work correctly.

I suppose that there is nothing wrong with this HARD drive, but with your laptop.

8/8.1 win requires different drivers and you will probably need to install a suitable driver in order to get the USB ports work correctly (USB 3.0 as well as the driver additional chipset would be also necessary).

  • Yoga Pro 2 - display not recognized in windows (hardware or driver problem?)

Out of warranty by a month!

Yoga Pro 2-256 gb, installed a new wireless card a month ago. Windows 8.1

The touchscreen still work while the screen is black.

System restarted after the mode 'sleep', in my opinion.

The Lenovo logo is displayed, seems to load Windows, but when windows loads (I don't see it so it is a hypothesis of load) drafts of the screen and the black light is on.

Can I connect an external monintor that connects after the return from sleep mode (odd). Who then off the backlight.

When the external monitor, the internal screen is not yet recognized by windows.

When I boot in safe mode, the internal display works fine with of course limited capabilities.

I rebooted on the support site display drivers.

Right now my internal monitor is not recognized by windows and is dark, and I can use an external monitor.

Someone at - he of the clues as to what my happen? Hardware, driver etc?

    Can what information I provide?

It is a pretty weird problem with contradictory observations.

    (1) screen working in Mode safe but not regular boot. (So not the hardware problem)

    (2) display on an external monitor in normal mode. (So, no drivers issue)

Have you installed the wireless card yourself? You unplug the cable from the screen during the installation of the card?

Could you re - open and check that all connections are good?

The Wi - Fi card works well?

I also recommend a complete reset of the laptop to eliminate the possibility that it is a corrupt driver. You can use the NOVO button to reset your laptop. Make sure you make a backup on an external drive for your personal files.

  • HP Laserjet P1102w: HP Laserjet P1102w not recognized in Windows 8.0; driver needed

Trying to install HP Laserjet P1102w on Dell desktop running Windows 8.0. The installer always stops and says to connect the printer by USB, but it is already connected and turned on. Had to remove peripheral devices after he worked temporarily, but now I can't find the driver - have the disc. How to recognize the driver on disk file?

    Hi @artjourneyer,

I see that you have problems get printer recognised and you will need to find the file on the CD for the printer. I will definitely do my best to help you.

The file would be .inf from the CD.

I would say to download and use the latest drivers for Windows 8. HP LaserJet Full Feature software and driver.

Turn on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation. The USB cable should not be more then 6 feet. Make sure that the USB cable is connected directly to the computer. (not a station or a hub) Try a different USB port on the computer. You may need to try another USB cable.

Try and print a self-test on the printer hardware to see if it is a hardware problem. If the printer is not in a ready state, the computer does not recognize it. Printing a Configuration Page. Select the method two.

This can occur when the printer is already recognized as the USB connection and windows does not yet detect. Remove the USB cable plugged in, remove the printer from the Device Manager.

    To access the Device Manager:

Press the windows key and press X on the keyboard at the same time in the office.

Then click on Device Manager in the list.

Verify that connections in Device Manager for the entries of the printer, under Bus USB controllers look for a USB print media or anything with an exclamation yellow, storage device or an unknown device. Right click and uninstall the device.

Then reconnect the USB cable and it must be detectable again.

You set up the printer on the wireless network?

If you appreciate my efforts, please click on the "Thumbs up" button below.

If you have any questions, please let me know what steps you have taken and the results. Thank you.
