VI spfile or edit spfile

Hi guys...

I made some changes to the parameters of processes and sessions.

I used:

change the process adjustment system = n scope = spfile;

change the system of sessions = n scope = spfile;

order of the db and when I started the PB I got this error because of the changes I made.

Unfortunately I don't have craete a pfile of the spfile.

Is it possible that I can change the spfile and undo the changes, and start my db or even create the pfile this spfile file.

Thank you

10 gr 2, you create pfile from spfile, even if the db is not open:

SQL> shutdown immediate
Database closed.
Database dismounted.
ORACLE instance shut down.
SQL> create pfile from spfile;

File created.

SQL>

  • Missing SPFILE

    Hi guys,.

    I would be grateful if you could help me with the following problem I am unable to locate my spfile said database.

    SQL > show the spfile parameter

    VALUE OF TYPE NAME

    ------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------

    +DATA03/cpmstg/spfilecpmstg.ora string SPFile

    When I go in ASM to the location of the said this is what I see:

    spfilecpmstg

    ASMCMD > ls - lrt

    WARNING: 'r' is deprecated for 'method '.

    Please use 'inverse '.

    Name of type Redund time scratched Sys

    N spfilecpmstg = > +DATA03/CPMSTG/PARAMETERFILE/spfile.510.859115335

    Now, when I go to the default location i.e./u02/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.4/db/dbs I see the init file:

    [oracle@ora-stg-1a dbs] $ ls - ltr initcpmstg1.ora

    -rw - r-. 1 oracle oinstall 41 24 September 11:25 initcpmstg1.ora

    The init file contains the following entry:

    [oracle@ora-stg-1a dbs] $ initcpmstg1.ora more

    SPFile='+DATA03/CPMSTG/spfilecpmstg.ora'

    Now my question is:

    1. Why I get ORA-01565: could not open the Spfile + DATA03/cpmstg/spfilecpmstg.ora. ?
    2. How can I fix?

    Note: I am running Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 11.2.0.4.0 and run Linux 6 (64-bit).

    So if you hurt the spile file, do a "create spfile from pfile".

    If you cannot dynamically update the spfile, all the dynamic parameters can be changed online even if you use a file pfile (range = memory). But of course, the pfile file must be modified accordingly to preserve changes made after the next startup.

    The static parameters must rebound by the db in any case.

    Yes

  • SPFile is dynamic. But it's Pfile. Right?

    Version: 11.2.0.3

    Citing Metalink Doc "Pfile vs. SPfile [ID 249664.1].

    "The SPFILE allows the dynamic change without requiring you to bring down the instance"

    The statement above does not give a false impression when you use pfile, you have to bounce the DB for dynamich parameter?

    The following commands are run in a DB using pfile. As I've mentioned below, I changed the following dynamic parameter without bouncing the DB.

    The only downside is that this change is not persistent resets, unless you manually change the file pfile.

    SQL > ALTER SYSTEM SET LARGE_POOL_SIZE = RANGE 300M = MEMORY;

    Modified system

    SQL > see THE LARGE_POOL PARAMETER

    VALUE OF TYPE NAME

    ------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------

    Whole large LARGE_POOL_SIZE 304M

    Yes, it gives a false impression. To avoid losing changes to dynamic parameter you can use scope = both or repeat the command with scope = spfile;

    However, you pay to the operating system for editing the pfile file (assuming that you do not use your spfile)

    If you want to change the settings on the fly and do not want to keep them, however, there is no difference between pfile and spfile.

    Yes, a binary file for editing with a text editor are GOING to corrupt the file. Computers 101.

    If you do not have a backup rman of the spfile, you can recreate a file your alerts log pfile. Every time that the database starts, all default settings are recorded in the log of alerts. Look for these lines and save them in a file pfile. Then use this file pfile to recreate your spfile.

    Change your PFILE file to specify that IFILE = 'location_of_spfile. '

    OR

    use STARTUP PFILE = "location_of_spfile."

    Ensure that the spfile has the specific parameters of 2nd instance defined properly.

    Can I use a spfile on the above command clause? If I use spfile, will be the above command copy the spfile instance database target under the DUAL command?

    Yes, you can use SPFILE. RMAN automatically copies the file to the server of the destination host settings.

    Order DUPLICATE with clause SPFILE behave differently in the case of a different structure of ASM starts in the source and target databases?

    RMAN automatically copies the file to the server settings in the destination host and updates the settings file to the server on the host of destination based on the values supplied in PARAMETER_VALUE_CONVERT and SET. For example:

    This:

    duplicate target database to testDB from active database nofilenamecheck

    Instead:
