Video quality not good after installing Windows 7

Original title: videos have lost quality, sometimes plays like 240 p.; videos bluray 720 p does not play smoothly

I performed a custom installation of windows 7 ultimate (64 bit) of windows xp professional(32bit). Win7 worked well, but when I played a video file, which played very well under xp smoothly with good quality, it is int playing well as it was in xp. some videos that were 720 p bluray (brrip) files do not play smoothly. I also noticed that microsoft had provided me with a graphics card that was previously matrox millineum g series under xp. Sound, video, game controllers also changed the device to microsoft. If a total of 143 recommended updates were automatically installed and verified by windows, I have the problem again. Should I have to install win xp or should I update my graphics device? My custom pricing windows is 1.0.In win 7, internet, videos play very smoothly. Should I try to win7(64bit) to win7(32bit). Thanks for the help.

    As it is has no drivers 64 bit Windows 7 on Dell Web site, your best chance is to install the 64-bit versions of Vista (if they exist) in compatibility mode, viz:

    Right click on the Vista driver, then select Properties > Compatibility tab. Now choose to run the program in Vista compatibility mode and then apply > OK. Right click on the file and select run as administrator to install it.

    Do you really install any drivers after installing Windows 7? Maybe you have forgotten something and so it doesn t work.
    Micro is a part of webcam so be sure that driver webcam is properly installed and driver sound, you need to as well.

    After that, check the sound settings. Make sure that the Microphone is enabled and test it again with amp active microphone.

I just hope that you have updated the BIOS to the version of Windows XP Home edition. It must be 5.20. To work well WXP you need this version of BIOS.

    By the way: I don't know about you but I believe that SP3 is not yet supported, and I just hope that everything will work well. Otherwise, install Windows XP SP2 home edition. It should work without problem.

  • Keyboard backlit Y500 does not work after installing Windows 7

    Got a y500, love, installed Windows 7 (experience challenging, but glad I did now that it's done). Everything works like a charm, EXCEPT the backlight on the keyboard. By pressing FN + space does nothing. The keyboard does not blink when starting upwards, either.

    After repeated calls to the line of Lenovo, the responses I get are simply: we don't know why the keyboard backlight lights with Windows 7 installed.

    I don't want to go through the hassle to put Windows 8 on just for the backlight.

    There must be a way to activate the backlight of the keyboard while running windows 7. Lenovo, can you please go to the top of the chain of command to those who are working on updates of pilot and see if there is a way to make it work? Or tell me if I do something wrong?

    TL; Dr: keyboard backlight worked while Win 8 has been installed, put win 7 on, is no longer works.

    I would check the cable connections, the most likely problem.

    You can get a new keyboard on ebay for ~ $40... I'd rather spend than that being without my cell phone.

    There is no Windows 7 drivers for your model. Laptop came with vista, usually the vista drivers should work. On the download page, select Windows vista for your operating system then "original drivers" will be available on the "filter files by type:" field.

  • My CD/DVD burner does not work after installing Windows 7.

    Given that the troubleshooter could not see the CD DVD drive, you can try to navigate to the following location in the registry editor and deleted the upper filter and lower filter keys and check if it helps you get the job of CD DVD player.

    1. click on Startand then click all programs.

    2. in the start menu search box type regeditand press ENTER. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.

    3. in the navigation pane, locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

    4. in the right pane, look for UpperFilters and UpperFilter key and select it.
    Note You can also see an UpperFilters.bak registry entry. You don't have to delete this entry. Click UpperFilters . If you do not see the UpperFilters registry entry, you may still have to delete the LowerFilters registry entry.

    5. on the Edit menu, click delete.

    6. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.

    7. exit the registry editor.

    8 restart the computer.

    Note: Sometimes, this problem is due to two Windows that have been corrupted registry entries. To resolve this problem, you must use the registry editor to delete the corrupted registry entries.

    However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.
