• Windows 8 crashes when I try to view the apps or search for what

  I use Windows 8 and everything worked well until about 1 week after my purchase, a few days ago, my computer crashes whenever I try to view my apps or use the search function. When I click on 'applications' or try to pick up anything, the computer hangs for about 5 seconds, then returns to the home metro screen. This means I have no way to open applications except statement on the desktop, open the Explorer and manually search for the executable file. Needless to say, it's still more embarrassing than to not have a start menu first. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I haven't tried the no update method after you refresh my computer, always had this problem. I decided to go ahead and download the updates last night and today no more problems!

  We will rebuild a site announcement of property in British Colombia. We can create a web application with the list view and the view of details according to the knowledge base. However what we need to do is to change the background image for the display of detail page.

  I have deployed multiple applications on my oracle server under one of the oc4j application; s.
  I want continuous monitoring to be implemented on these applications... If an individual application is upwards or downwards.
  How then? Sort with opmnctl?
  
  opmnctl returns the status of the OC4J, but not of individual applications within the OC4J.

  If you use 10gR 3 (v10.1.3.x), you can use "opmnctl status - app". It will show you the State (started or stopped) of all the applications deployed on all OC4Js.

  Today I bought a viewer DWG app for about $5. The developer is Hui Xiang.

  It seems this app does not work since January 2016... Why is it always in the App Store if it does not work and the people who complain.

  It seems that people are paying money for nothing!

• How to force Windows 8.1 programmatically refresh/update the Apps menu after start lnk files manually editing menu

  I would like to know if there is a call to API or similar which will refresh the menu apps dynamically.  Because of the way that the applications menu groups of shortcuts by default, if you have multiple items of the same seller they will most likely be displayed together.  It becomes quite confusing when all the shortcuts have the same name.  This happens more often than I like.  To minimize confusion, I have a version icons to move to a different subfolder under start\program c:\programdata\Microsoft\Windows\Start.

  For example, two versions of IBM ODM are installed, they have almost identical shortcuts but both are needed by the developer, so we have:

  c:\programdata\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\IBM\ODM 8.5.1

  c:\programdata\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\IBM\ODM 8.7

  In the view menu apps, all will be grouped under "IBM."  I moved and renamed ODM 8.7 to:

  c:\programdata\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\IBM ODM 8.7.

  However, the menu apps will always show both sets of icons as everything under 'IBM' however a game does not work (because they have been moved).  without any other process, the only way I found to refresh, it's to open a session and return twice.  Reboot, restart explorer.exe (someone suggested that) or other tricks mentioned in the links down below has no effect.

  Steps to recreate:
  1 see the menu apps

  2. rename any existing subfolder which is directly under start\program c:\programdata\Microsoft\windows\Start

  3. open the menu of apps again.  the modified file should be not displaying and in the old group of folder shortcuts no longer work.
  4. open a session once and relog in.  Still, the change should not display.
  5. open a session once and relog again.  The change should now display.

  This delay in the update of behavior has been observed by several people, one that suits that I remember:

  For now, the only way to view the apps in the App Store goes to the store in Windows 8.
  You can't view via a browser session. This is normal.

• Help with renovation Horizon View client for Mac

  I'm packaging the client VMware View Horizon for our Mac desktops and laptops (we have about 150). Normally, it is a very simple and very easy process with this client because it is just a soft. We use Apple PackageMaker to repackage the Horizon of VMware View Client.appand add the plist for the test user for the deployment of future users profiles. We used some com.vmware.view.plist in the past to ensure that our connection to the server is prefilled and force PCoIP. It has worked great for us with all < 2.3 versions.

  From 2.3 and 3.0 now, I have not been able to repackage the application correctly. I have download the .dmg to VMware and copy the .app in it in / applications; This is exactly how a user would install it on their system. I run the Client discovers once and connect to our login server using the settings I want to paste when you deploy this application to our machines. Then using PackageMaker, I point the first part of the package that will be created for Applications/Vmware view Horizon Client.app as usual (including the roots). It's normal. I choose com.vmware.view.plist file, and I'm using a plist Editor, delete the entry for my test user name and office that I'm connected to. In PackageMaker, the destination of this .plist file is in the default profile for the mac - so whenever a new user connects to the mac, they will receive the file .plist with the parameters we want. Sounds good. The package is built successfully. I deploy it on a machine to test successfully.

  When I connect on a test system and run the client from the view, I can connect properly. If I try to use the menu connection/printing enabled, all hell breaks loose and I get a series of errors;

  Invalid file in the package.

  The file is not valid:

  / Applications/VMware Horizon view Client.app/Contents/Library/thnuclnt/thnusetup.sh.

  Please download the official product.

  If I try to start services remotely USB, I get a similar error once it issues a warning that I will be asked to enter the credentials of the admin;

  OK, I just had to put the question so that I could think clearly through it.

  There are some extended attributes on these shell scripts that PackageMaker removes when it reconditions the app. I conditioned as a .dmg, and copy the app via the postinstall script in the pkg... works very well after that.

• Problem with USB Redirection on Horizon View Client v2.3.0 for Linux

  I had a problem on the USB Redirection when connecting to the Server of VMware View by Horizon View Client v2.3.0.

  1. Here is our configuration:
     1. Server:
        1. Horizon View Server 5.5 + Windows 7 Enterprise VDI
     2. Client:
        1. Thin client (TI ARM platform - 8148)
        2. Horizon View Client v2. 3 for Linux
        3. USB Flash: Kingston 8 GB USB 2.0, FAT32
  2. The issue: USB flash can not redirect to VDI successfully.
  3. Some status on our test:
  • The USB is plugged USB port on workstation before connecting to Horizon view Server 5.5
  • Light client can recognize and use USB flash to the local site.
  • When we connect to VDI, we can see the USB driver is responsible for research and installation, but windows VDI() reports fail to install the USB driver finally. It seems that VDI trying to acknowledge the failure of USB flash but finally.

• Very slow view using OS x client for Windows 8 RDP

  I'm having a problem of strange performance to help the customer to view for OSX and connecting to a remote desktop in Windows 8. I'm the last side connections to the same remote workstations using a windows on the excellent work of the RDP client and client and server versions. No performance problems. I'm a bit at a loss as to what could be the issue.

  Context menus in Office remote work quickly but running programs, opening and closing of windows, etc. is very slow. No conflicts or hogging on the remote system, nor the client resources. All connections PCOIP or RDP sessions to other workstations (which are all Windows 7) work perfectly without any problems. Any help in troubleshooting is appreciated.

  When connecting to the remote with the Protocol RDP of Mac View Client Desktop, it will use the image of high quality as a default value for the connection of the DRC. MS RDC app is a very old application, there is no new version for so long and there are no updates to improve the performance of this specific to the new Windows operating system (Win8/8.1/2012). Perhaps the reason for the performance on Windows 8 with the DRC issue.

  If you are using the RDP protocol client Mac view, please change display settings for the Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) first app. And then reconnect directly remote desktop via IP (without customer view) to check if the performance is somewhat improved.
