• Need help for query joining views

  Hi all

  I need to run a query that joins a number of tables with multiple instances of the same view.  For example, a view named MY_VALUES, is an array of key / value resembles the following:

  Application_ID Attirbute_Description value

  1 1 000 basic benefit

  1 multiplier 1 0.5

  1 Multiplier_2 1.2

  1 total profit 1,115

  2 1 025 basic benefit

  2 multiplier 1 0,268

  2 Multiplier_2 1.3

  Total profit 2 1.4500

  Say I want a query that selects basic earnings and a multiplier 1 for Application ID 1, as well as, other information from a table called APPLICATION that has a relationship to display pk - fk. I would do the following:

  Select the application. Name, mv1.value, mv2.value

  from dbo. App APPLICATION, dbo. MY_VALUES mv1, dbo. Mv2 MY_VALUES

  where app.id = mv1.application_id and mv1.attribute_description = "Basic benefits"

  and app.id = mv2.application and mv2.attribute_description = id 'multiplier 1'.

  and app.id = 1

  My actual query is similar to this. However, I have many other attributes of the notice I need to select, which requires that the view be attached to several times. After 16 these joins, the request is fine. After 17, however, the query runs always, never return a result within 45 minutes I have let it run.

  Is there a better way to write such a request or an indicator of optimization that would be useful here?

  For this type of application, it is often best to extract multiple lines in a single request on the view and their pivot in the output.

  For example

  Select the application. Name

  , max (CASE when mv.attribute_description = "Core service" then mv.value any other purpose) BaseBenefit

  , max (CASE when mv.attribute_description = 'Multiplier 1' then mv.value any other purpose) Multiplier1

  , max (CASE when mv.attribute_description = 'Multiplier 2' then mv.value any other purpose) Multiplier2

  , max (CASE when mv.attribute_description = 'Multiplier 3' then mv.value end to another null) Multiplier3

  from dbo. App APPLICATION, dbo. MY_VALUES mv

  where app.id = mv1.application_id

  and mv.attribute_description IN ('benefits of home', 'multiplier 'multiplier 'multiplier 3' 2' 1')

  and app.id = 1

  This runs often much better than several joins to the table for the view or the value of the attribute.

• Help with renovation Horizon View client for Mac

  I'm packaging the client VMware View Horizon for our Mac desktops and laptops (we have about 150). Normally, it is a very simple and very easy process with this client because it is just a soft. We use Apple PackageMaker to repackage the Horizon of VMware View Client.appand add the plist for the test user for the deployment of future users profiles. We used some com.vmware.view.plist in the past to ensure that our connection to the server is prefilled and force PCoIP. It has worked great for us with all < 2.3 versions.

  From 2.3 and 3.0 now, I have not been able to repackage the application correctly. I have download the .dmg to VMware and copy the .app in it in / applications; This is exactly how a user would install it on their system. I run the Client discovers once and connect to our login server using the settings I want to paste when you deploy this application to our machines. Then using PackageMaker, I point the first part of the package that will be created for Applications/Vmware view Horizon Client.app as usual (including the roots). It's normal. I choose com.vmware.view.plist file, and I'm using a plist Editor, delete the entry for my test user name and office that I'm connected to. In PackageMaker, the destination of this .plist file is in the default profile for the mac - so whenever a new user connects to the mac, they will receive the file .plist with the parameters we want. Sounds good. The package is built successfully. I deploy it on a machine to test successfully.

  When I connect on a test system and run the client from the view, I can connect properly. If I try to use the menu connection/printing enabled, all hell breaks loose and I get a series of errors;

  Invalid file in the package.

  The file is not valid:

  / Applications/VMware Horizon view Client.app/Contents/Library/thnuclnt/thnusetup.sh.

  If I try to start services remotely USB, I get a similar error once it issues a warning that I will be asked to enter the credentials of the admin;

  ?? If I run the app from the .dmg on this same machine, I have no problem. Any ideas?

  OK, I just had to put the question so that I could think clearly through it.

  There are some extended attributes on these shell scripts that PackageMaker removes when it reconditions the app. I conditioned as a .dmg, and copy the app via the postinstall script in the pkg... works very well after that.

  VERY frustrated here. In the past, my use of the Adobe software was increased CONSIDERABLY by the availability of assistance in offline mode. It was can be found, hotlinked, independently operated, was well organized and VERY useful. I was able to solve problems more myself and teach me how to use the new tools. I hear now we just get a .pdf file. We need the old aid system in return. You can simply take content in .pdfs and cut and paste to the old style program. But here's the beef I have today:

  
  

  Just installed CS6 Production Premium on a machine of Win8. Sometimes I have to edit in areas without internet. This means that I sometimes have to access offline help. I have pressing F1 and adobe help manager says "awaiting download. I connect to the net after a reboot and load the adobe help Manager. I select the products I want help for (all) offline, I select "notify me when updates to help are available," it says waiting for download on all products. The UPDATING box does not work (in gray), I've hit, and I don't see any download from (confirmed by watching the activity on the resource monitor network traffic and disk). So I close adobe help Manager and reopen it. Now, it says 'Not available' and once again the UPDATE is grayed out. Well, I don't have any help files, then it would be REALLY great if the Adobe help Manager could do his job and download them. My guess is that Adobe has a server down which communicates with Adobe help Bishop and deploys client files Adobe help Mgr. It is a basic feature and really needs fixing.

  
  

  It's a good thing that I know enough about Premiere Pro to teach a class about it (making a documentary, and you can teach class too), but I still have much to learn about audition, prelude, speedgrade, etc.. I need F1 help feature in all programs of CS6. Online help is good in theory, but some of us edit in areas without net access.

Yes, it is possible for me to find a .pdf file and download it manually, but that COMPLETELY defeats the goal of Adobe help Bishop what can do to make Bishop to help Adobe do planned to use?   From now on, the best way is to download the CS6 help PDF from the Web. You can then configure your product to open the help PDF downloaded when you select the menu help/press F1 by following the steps described in this article.

• vWorkspace 8.0MR1 Powershell error - cannot locate permission for target

  I installed the version 8.0.306.0029 of the Powershell Module for vWorkspace and I see a problem with the New-QVWManagedApplication cmdlet. I have all the settings according to the wiki for the specified cmdlet, but he came back with the message below pointing to an issue with target. I couldn't find anything in the reference of the cmdlet on the objectives, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

  If it helps our environment is 8.0 since the launch with the gateway servers, IIS, management and broker 2012 with 2008R2 Session hosts. I installed PowerShell module on one of management with .net 4.0 and PowerShell 3 servers as required.

• Cascades Cookbook will not build: no rule for target ' mk/cs - base.mk'.

  I downloaded Cascades Cookbook (qml version Gold) on the web at:

  I imported (file; Import; Existing projects in the workspace) in my Momentics IDE & get the following error when I build:

  No rule for target ' mk/cs - base.mk'.

  Any ideas what is the problem?

  I'm trying to figure if I could use something before 'gold' SDK but don't know how to check (Momentics says help I use 10.0.6 but this seems odd, given that the gold shows that 10.0.09...must be different but similar looking for versioning).  Is there a way to check if you have the latest updates?  Tried checking for updates under the Help menu, but this does not seem right.  You have to download another 3/4 GB of SDK, whenever there is an update?

  There is the "Update Native SDK" button on the toolbar in recent versions of Momentics but you will have to update to the latest downloadable first of all.

• How to edit a map with a view that the target object?

  Environment: OWB 11 GR 2
  
  I imported several cards of our old OWB 10.1.0.4 environment that have a view as the target object. In this version if I wanted to make a change to the definition of the view, I want to update the map and an outgoing "balance" to the view and it would update the View object with the SQL update. I would then deploy the view and obviously not the card.
  
  I tried to do the same function in OWB 11 GR 2, but I have not yet found the thing. IMHO the documentation is very vague, weak, in this area, at least the many pages I've read.
  
  I opened the card for editing and when I select the view target object and look at the Properties window, the link to the SQL code is empty, even if this isn't the SQL code of the View object.
  
  I tried to use it out 'synchronize' in several different ways, but could not do any SQL appear in this properties link. I also noticed that the SQL code of the View object is now empty as well.

  You use the 'create and link... ". "on the operator to see in the map (right mouse click on the operator for the menu option) and select a name and a module.

  See the blog post here that describes it well than its gr 10, 2 and 11 GR 1 material, but its exactly the same thing for 11 GR 2.

  Create and link is like synchronize the first outgoing - if you can consider it, weird I know, but that's how.

  I am a newbie in FDM. I am facing the following problem: whenever I try to map an account to an account in FDM HFM, I click on "Browse for target value. Each time, this gives an error: 'access denied '. The detailed error is:

  Our deployment configuration (in a nutshell) is as follows:
  
  IN-CCUBICOE2 server: A FDM (services and the web app)
  IN-CCUBICOE3 server: A HFM (services and the web app)
  
  FDM is configured with a local account to the server IN CCUBICOE2. This account is used to configure the application server process, application pool, etc., as well as to register the load balancer adapter.
  
  HFM is configured with a different account local server IN CCUBICOE3.
  
  
  I tried fiddling around with profiles machine in my cards. The current setting is:

  (In the part of the credentials, I give the Hyperion credentials or windows credentials?)
  
  The connection method is configured as unified. (but I also tried Global etc.)
  (I installed the HFM client in the server of the CCUBICOE2-IN - residence of FDM and added the cluster of application like IN-CCUBICOE3 - to whom I can connect using the HFM customer)

  Definitely. The local account with the same uid/pwd must exist on the servers of FDM, HFM and if the local account you created in the box of HFM, must exist in the FDM with the same uid/pwd box, and must be a member of the local administrator group. The same for the Local FDM account, it must exist on the servers of HFM and be a member of the local administrator group.

  We urge the user to a domain service account to avoid having to create multiple instances of local accounts as you currently see.

  Users that work with our global dashboards do not have much experience with IT, so I want to make a shortcut function.
  
  This might be a question mark to each report to explain what it does and how you do it, or maybe a clue F1 help as you get with Outlook.

  If you have your sample sale and RPD webcat with you that comes with your install (10.1.3.4) you can see the dashboard it. They have implemented the functionality of help with a link and a report.

  Any ways I will explain

  Create a sample report with a dummy object and go directly to your static text and you can include text that you ever need as how to use dashboards or what this dashboard used for etc etc. Save the report

  Now, go to the dashboard page and add the object link on the left and to the simple reference component destination this request. Type 'Help' in the legend.

  You can simply use FMAP available to the image if you have one. Referecing of the sample as shown below

  You can download the images online and make sure that store you them under

  File C:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\analytics\analytics\res

• When I opened TB, under 'Accounts', it only shows the option "create a new account. Option: "view settings for this account" does NOT appear.

  When I opened TB, I don't see no information on the TB account that I used for years. Instead, the main menu shows only 'accounts'-'Create a new account - Email, Chat, newsgroup, feed'. Option: "view settings for this account" does NOT appear.

  Also the main menu does NOT appear "Email - messages, write a new Message" or "Advanced functions", etc...

  Real emails regarding the TB account I used for years are still present in the "users-> xxxxyyyy-> AppData-> Roaming-> Thunderbird' folder."

• 14 inches: help for laptop

  I was using my laptop when it is off. Now all I get when it starts is hp and swirling points. Tried to take the battery and now the button. Nothing seems to work.   Can anyone help please.

  The hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced. If you are still in warranty HP will send a replacement. If this is not the case, a laptop SATA hard detail can be used. Just be sure to get a quality at least equal the original in order to use recovery disks. It may be big, but not small ability more. For example if you have a 500 GB hard drive you can use a 750 GB hard drive, but not a 320 GB hard drive.

  If you need help for selection/replacement of the hdd post back with the complete model & product number as indicated on the Service tag on the bottom of the laptop.
