view song iTunes?

Hello

For some reason, I can change is the sight of my iTunes do sort by songs.  I don't see the sidebar on the left or an option to see the menu drop-down at the top right to change the display.  I DON'T want this album view and I prefer the older look without album art, etc...  How can I change the view back to "show the songs?

Help, please.  Thank you.

Hi greenconn

Here's how to display the sidebar:

In iTunes > View > Show Sidebar

or

Option + command + S

From there, you can select the view song

  • What are the advantages and disadvantages of using iCloud drive (or other Cloud services) compared with iTunes game against external hard drive, Solid State etc. to store my songs iTunes, playlists, ratings etc?

First question: what are the advantages and disadvantages of using iCloud drive (or other Cloud services) compared with iTunes Match against Solid State external hard drive etc to store my songs iTunes, playlists, ratings etc?

Please let me know what are the alternatives for storage of my songs, playlists, song etc. other than iTunes game ratings ($ 24.99 / year)?  Is there a way to store all my songs with my song ratings, playlists, etc. with a CD song quality? Most of my (currently 130 GB) songs on my computer are CD quality that I prefer to keep as well as my notes of each song (i.e. 5 * vs. 4 * etc.), playlists, groups (music, classical, popular, country etc.).  What are the advantages and disadvantages to store my iTunes songs while CD quality with my personal notes, reading lists, groupings in the cloud?  ICloud of Apple Drive ($ 2.99 per month or $36 / year for 200 GB) would be the best way to automatically update and maintain my rankings iTunes personal including the future editions of the song etc or using Amazon, IBM, Microsoft etc cloud or an external hard drive SSD would work as well and maybe cheaper?  I currently have my iTunes on a PC of 2007 with vista (I use a 1 8T Western Digital external upward by car for my personal info all over HP, songs, photos etc. which is currently close to 170 GB) but also have an Apple i-phone 6 & I Air cushion.  Although I did not need to have all of my music with all their sides, etc. available on all of my devices at all times as iTunes game, I still would have easy access to information on both my PC and my iPhone or iPad?  Thank you.

    In my opinion?

I back up my data to an external drive for several reasons.  The first is my data - if I put on the cloud, someone else has control over it, they can see what I have and change the preferences to what they see of marketing.

Almost as important as that - if I had to rely on the cloud whenever I wanted to update my playlists on my phone, I need a better internet connection I have now (working at sea).  To get the best out of the cloud, you need a solid link to home, work or mobile.

As a spin-off - I hate the fact that Apple take away a feature in their software updates and then allow an app to be sold in their store to replace this feature - or worse still, some features that were available before the updates are now "cloud only."  And Yes - you have to pay for the cloud.  I like most of the people do not appreciate the 'accomplished fact. "

From the back of the external hard drive ASI downside, is that to be safe, you need to store outside in a separate computer place.  If keep you them together, if one is lost, probably, they are both.  That is to say for me a full backup before you travel, then a new upward as soon as I go home.  Downside is how much data may be lost between the two back ups if I needed to restore.  For me, its worth the risk.  If I was away and say had bought a ton of new music and couldn't go home anytime soon, I can always head to the store and buy a new external drive, they are massively expensive.  Even if my computer has to go for repair and my remote is to halfway around the world - I want to buy a new one.

Now, some will say that once you buy a new external, you spend more than you would on a cloud subscription.  It's true, but in the 6 years following the purchase of Mac that I've only had to buy a new external once - so with a little luck and planning - it works.

I left took well - I am not a subscriber of cloud, nor do I want to be.

  • Subscription music Apple will allow streaming of DRM protected songs ITunes on Sonos?

Apple allows music streaming of DRM protected songs ITunes on Sonos?

For several years, I was unable to play a lot of songs that I bought from ITunes on my Sonos system because of the DRM protections.  In the past, the only option was to manually delete songs or albums and then re - download via ICloud.  Because I have a few thousand songs with DRM protection this option was and remains completely unrealistic.  Does anyone know if the new music from Apple on Sonos announced will allow playback of all your music ITunes (DRM protected and even burned a ripped to CD) across the platform of Sonos?  Thank you!

Yes and no. Apple music is like iTunes game that all your music is offset by the Apple servers. Any music that is offset by the server is not getting downloaded. Only music that is not put into correspondence is downloaded. Sonos will play your music Server Apple not your computer for any music with DRM that was paired successfully can be read. All music that cannot be matched is downloaded and when Sonos tries to play it - it will fail. Google Match and DRM iTunes for more information.

  • Is there a way to check my songs iTunes and say if they were added to a playlist?

Is there a way to view the songs in my iTunes and tell if they have been added to a playlist? I would like to be able to tell which of my songs have yet to be added to a playlist, so I can add to a. Thank you.

As far as I KNOW, there is no way to find this in iTunes, even not in creating a smart playlist.

The closest I've found is this AppleScript scripts Doug iTunes site.

  • How to get the list view in iTunes 12.4.3 for Windows

Guys, I'm LOSING MY MIND. I had to re - download iTunes (which I refused to update in eternity because I know of updated versions are generally never good), and this new Interface is making me remove my hair and cry. Not only is it completely intuitive, but it makes it incredibly difficult to navigate.

I'm seeing all my music in classic list view, which I know he can do. When I first loaded it upward, she appeared in list view, but the time that I started clicking around, it became this heavy nightmare of the image. Every article I've read has a UI that I don't HAVE, where there is a drop-down list of some sort. Does anyone know how? I have attached a screenshot. BTW, that blue icon that you THINK would be seen list said just what is the next song. Complete waste of space. Jesus, just put it in a status bar, or scroll across the top.

FYI: the only changes that I made in the preferences has been disable anything itunes store or apple related radio because literally ALL itunes became ads.

So, I find Mucked Apple with iTunes... And even once it made it WORSE... No wonder that google is today more important...   So with the version 12.4.0.119 how can a list their files of songs in a 'List view '...  After an hour of research, yet to find... Logic United States what apple could have no QA way this release... He would have been exposed to PO, those who use the list view...

Show your music iTunes library.  In the sidebar, under libraries, click songs.  If 'list view' is the list of simple songs with columns, it's what you see to the right.

To view this same point of view of a selection, select playlist in the sidebar.  In the menu bar, display-> View As-> songs.

  • unconscious local copies of the songs iTunes

I have over 12,000 songs in my iTunes library, which also houses the library music to iCloud and synchronized between my devices. On a Mac, the entire library is already downloaded and resides in the folder that is selected in the media folder in iTunes. Everything is set up correctly, and everything has been fine. Now, for some reason, most of the songs have the symbol of the cloud in iTunes, which indicates that they are only in iCloud, which is obviously not true. If I tell iTunes to download, the new copies are created in the same folder. Same file name with '1' added. Is there anything I can do to iTunes aware that the files are already there? I can go and reassociate a song with his file, but I must do this for each song in turn, which is obviously not a solution. I guess I can also delete and redownload everything, but if there is a better way, I would be happy to hear about it.

  • Why I can't download my songs iTunes purchased for my MacBook Air?

I have an Air of 11 inches in mid-2011 and have improved the operating system to Yosemite, and she is allowed with I-Tunes and have a lot of storage space.  The last time I updated I-Tunes, now songs in my library I had bought (and frankly forgotten) there.  They will play only when I'm online, so are only streaming.  When I go on I - Tunes Store > profile > bought > not in my library > songs, I try to "Download all" or individually and it looks like he's trying to then stops.  What keeps me?

  • Deletion of songs: iTunes and Google Drive a technical Question

I just moved my iTunes library on my Google Reader account so I can sync between my Mac and my PC. Everything is fine, but I just deleted some songs while on my PC. Now, I find these pieces and they still appear on my Mac, but of course when I try to read, it is said that they do not find. Is there anyway I can avoid showing them up on top of the unit in question at all after having deleted the songs? because the songs of the deletion of the library on the other device will get quite painful. What is a possible problem with a .itdb or incongruous .xml file? I don't know exactly how it works.

    Thank you

It only will do this automatically if you use a single copy of the iTunes Library.itl file.  Only one copy of iTunes can have that open at a time.  Basically, iTunes uses this file to tell him what needs to be in your collection of real media files.  If you have separate library files then it obviously not synced and remove one will delete the file and the reference in this library, but not to delete the reference to the file in the other.  I've never used Google Reader so I don't know how 'real' a player is and if iTunes could run using the library of files on it. I feel maybe little too erratic and slow, a connection for a satisfactory performance and I'm hanging off the coast of another decade or two before confidence cloud services.

  • I can't add songs iTunes to under new Photo Slideshow

the title of the song are grayed out.  When I chose a song for the show, an error message pops up saying: 'select audio track is not supported.  Audio protected by DRM may not b used in slide shows.  Choose another audio track. ", but I can still play these songs in iTunes.

    Question:

    1. why the songs are grayed out?

2 - How can I clear on DRM protected?

I re - download songs from my "bought" iCloud but without prevail.  I also followed some advice from the forum to remove some iPhoto preferences but once again without prevail.

I recently updated my operating system OS X El Capitan and Photo.

Is this a bug with the Photo app?

    Thank you!

    J.N

    Hello

Music Apple usable only with iTunes on a computer because of the DRM. With previous purchases respect, if they were purchased before 2009, they will still have DRM.

You cannot disable Apple's music DRM protection, but with previous purchases, you can burn them on a CD and re-import them in your library.

  • Explorer W7 view song titles

Makes a change to ask instead of answer...

I have a file containing all my mp3. It will display a song title and No. subfolders.

Now it shows records (names of groups) that I have then develop to get the titles album then song/details.

I want to return to my original view, IE. by tracks.

So, obviously a user error, but how to get a list of odd songs of 1,500 in the song title and get rid of the by display records (album). I'm probably being thick here, but I can't for the life of me think it.

Please don't refer me to WMP problem solving, it is not that I'm looking. Or to do a check disk.

What I want is to know how to display the news of song of songs, not by some recording artists.

    Thanks in advance,
