• What version of the Visa Runtime executable files compiled in LabVIEW 7.1 require?

  We have an old executable that was written in LabVIEW 7.1 and uses the serial port communication.  We are licensed with LabVIEW 2010, however our company policy requies a lot of paperwork so he should recompile.

  The executable program has worked well over the years.  The computer on which it is running has to be replaced. Any software included in the CD 'Install' is not enough, and now there is no communication with the serial device.  I guess the problem would be DURATION VISA European Commission.

  Does anyone know which version of the Runtime VISA is required for executable files compiled in LabVIEW 7.1?  Is this something of "Legacy"?

  Is it possible to use NI-VISA to detect when a USB device is inserted or removed?

  I am currently using Windows API in my application of LabWindows to capture the WM_DEVICECHANGE event.  When this event is called, I check to see if USB devices are always connected to my PC using the viFindRsrc function.  On Windows XP 32-bit, this approach has worked successfully.  This no longer works on my Windows 7 64-bit system.  After I remove the USB, the viFindRsrc function device is still indicating that the device is connected, even if it is not.

  In addition, when a USB device is controlled by a driver of NI-VISA, I can't capture Windows DBT_DEVICEARRIVAL and DBT_DEVICEREMOVECOMPLETE event.  I am able to see these events for other USB devices which are not controlled by a driver NI-VISA.

  The behavior of the NI-VISA driver requires that you register to receive notifications from Windows. Other USB devices that are not controlled by a NI-VISA driver didn't need to register to receive DBT_DEVICEARRIVAL and DBT_DEVICEREMOVECOMPLETE event.  I got the default...

• Communication Serial Port without a VISA

  Is it possible to connect to the serial port without a VISA?

  The thing is that the VISA is required to be installed on the deployed machine. It is not for my client.

• Why Adobe Flash Player does not open?

  All Web sites that I visit that require Adobe Flash Player insist that I need to download and install it. Now... I checked and I have the latest version (version 20.0.0.267) installed, but it does not open.

• Serial Port problems - carriage return and use as an executable file

  I developed an application to send a few simple commands on the serial port and read the corresponding answers of a device that I am in communication with.  I have been using logical Port to watch the line TX of the serial port.

  By using the Visa configure Serial Port I set the stop character property allow true and used the hexadecimal value D trying to make the termination a carriage return characters.  When I sent the order, I'll send the cmd followed by Enter.  No matter if this property is set to true or the hexadecimal value is set to D for carriage return or line break is, the serial port would always send a line break.

  Then I got crafty and the string constant under normal display to hexadecimal display.  The ONLY way I could send a carriage return was manually putting 0x0D after ordering.  So my question is, why the Visa set up the Serial Port is not working correctly, and is there a better way to send a carriage return?

  My next issue is facing the construction of executable files.  I'm using LabVIEW 8.2 and wrote this program for another employee to use on his laptop computer.  I did install runtime Labview 8.2 and led to the executable that I generated.  I did-> the executable by clicking Tools build the executable.  The problem I noticed was that the executable would open and will work perfectly, but it would not send any data the serial port.  I then ran the executable on my laptop (which contains the full version of LabVIEW 8.2) and the serial port has worked well.  I guess my question is... Are there plug-ins that must be installed to use the serial port with the Labview runtime engine?  Or y at - it a step that I failed to do?

  For your second question, after building the executable, you must build the installer and includes support for the VISA. VISA is required for serial communication, and it does not accept American Express.

  What is the exact error message that you receive? If say you that you do not meet the system requirements, you have OSX 10.9 or later installed on your Macbook Air? This is what is needed for the latest version of the creative cloud.

  You can have the creative cloud installed and signed in on two computers as long as you don't use it on one at a time. Download and install as you did on the first computer, sign in to your Adobe account on the Adobe using your Adobe ID website, download the desktop app from clouds, then download the software. Sign on a computer that should not be used: log in and log out of the desktop Adobe Creative Cloud application

• Reinstall Acrobat Pro 9 CS4 is suspended

  On OSX Yosemite I've been running CS4 for a few months after a full charge. I started Acrobat Pro and it stop after saying that the license service no longer works. The other CS4 applications work correctly. I tried to reinstall, but the installer hanging after starting just reinstalling Acrobat. I uninstalled and tried to install only Acrobat again with the same result. I apparently installed it successfully when I installed Acrobat and other applications CS4 (even if they still worked very well). Now when Acrobat is launched, I have to enter the system password, so he can "make changes". He said the two missing components must be repaired. The printer PDF and Safari PDFViewer Plugin. With these selected and clicking on continue, nothing seems to have changed and Acrobat does not completely load and can only be stopped with Force Quit. No idea what to do?
